Gwydion's Song, a lloyd alexander fanfic

AUTHOR'S NOTE: This is a parody of Weird Al Yankovic's "Jedi Song," which is a parody of "American Pie." This is basically Gwydion singing about how they found Taran. If you don't know the original parody it may not be as funny…sorry. And if you know Prydain, then you may find that this doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Events here are taken from Book 1, Book 2 and some from Book 5…. And some of this stuff actually never happens in the canon, I just put it in so it would fit with the song. Hope you like it and have some laughs. Reviews are appreciated but please—no flames.

Gwydion's Song

A long long time ago
In Prydain far far away
The land was under an attack
And I thought me and High King Math
Could save Prydain from Arawn's wrath
And tell him to cut us all a little slack
But his response it didn't thrill us
Sent Cauldron-Born and tried to kill us
We escaped from that mass
Met a horse called Melynlas
We took that pony and Hen-Wen
Went to Spiral to see Achren
We fled and went to Cair Dallben
That's where we found this boy
And we were singing

My my this here pig-keeping guy
Thinks that fighting's so exciting hey he's just a small fry
He left his home and kissed his piggy goodbye
Saying "Soon I'm gonna be King on High"

Did you hear this boy think's he's brave
Isn't even old enough to shave
But he can use a sword they say
Did you see him hitting on Eilonwy
Though he's so poor and she's royalty
Yeah he's probably going to marry her someday
Even though his bloodline's mighty low
Yeah I've seen how fast his pig can go
And we were losing the war
So we gave him a birthday sword
Well he was a farmyard best and a riding ace
And we knew he'd someday run the place
We asked Dallben just in case
He said "Taran's your boy"
We started singing

Well we finally got to Cair Dathyl
The Sons of Don it was their will
To see how good Taran could be
So we took him there and told the tale
How his pig-keeping skills were off the scale
And he might be the one to succeed
Oh the council was impressed of course
Could he destroy the evil force
They interviewed the kid
Oh training they forbid
Because the sons sensed in him much fear
And Adaon said "Now listen here
I don't care if I interfere
But I will teach this boy"
And he was singing

We all rode to the battlefield
And everyone had swords and shields
I frankly would've liked to stay
We all fought in that epic war
And it wasn't long at all before
Little hotshot rode his horse and saved the day
And in the end half the cast died
Castles blew up and horsemen fried
Most of my friends were croakin'
Fflewddur Fflam's harp was broken
And the dreamer I admire most
Met up with Huntsmen and now he's toast
I'm still here and he's a ghost
I guess I'll train the boy
And I was singing
