A Meaning Never Lost
Karin was worried. Today was Valentine's Day and she was afraid Toushirou wasn't going to make it. Though she understood that Toushirou was a very busy guy, she wanted him to be here, with her, today. She then proceeded to look out the window of her bedroom.
Soon the clock struck 11:00 pm. Karin sighed.
"One hour left" she stated sadly. She then closed her window and went down to the kitchen to get ice cream to fill her sadness, but suddenly the door bell rang. Karin walked to the door and opened it and her eyes widened.
There in the door way was the boy she had wanted to see, Hitsugaya Toushirou. He was panting hard and hands on his knees.
"Toushirou, why are you panting?" asked Karin.
"I -pant- ran -pant- all the way -pant- from -pant- Urahara's" he said in between pants.
"Why?" asked Karin, as Toushirou caught his breath and regained his composure.
"Because I couldn't miss today of all days to see you" he said before taking Karin's hand in his.
"Toushirou…" breathed Karin.
"Karin, I love you" he said for the first time to her. Karin then rapped her arms around the boy's neck and forcibly kissed him.
Toushirou was bleeding terribly and kido specialists were slowly healing him. Karin was crying over his body, her twin trying to console her sobbing.
"You can't die, Toushirou! You hear me! You can't!" gasped Karin between sobs.
"The specialists are doing everything they can, Karin" consoled Yuzu.
"Karin" whispered Toushirou. Karin looked at his bruised face. He reached his hand to caress her cheek.
"I love you" he said before falling unconscious. Karin kept his hand close to her face. She didn't want lose him.
He twirled her once again on the dance floor. Today was debatably the best day of her life, her wedding day. The two closely dance the waltz at their wedding reception.
"You really look beautiful, Karin" said Toushirou as he dipped her.
"Thank you, you clean up pretty well yourself" she replied.
She was truly happy to have this man as her husband and everyone in soul society could see it as they flowed on the dance floor.
"You know what, Karin?" he asked.
"What?" replied Karin.
"I love you" he answered.
"And I never get tired of hearing you say it"
Well that was my Hitsukarin one-shot, thanks for reading. Now I have some homework to do. Please review.
