Suki Likes Sokka

As Suki watched Appa take to the skies, she could hear Prince Zuko shouting,

"After them! Back to the ship!"

Suki and the other Kyoshi warriors waited until the fire nation troops had sailed away before they turned to clean up the village. The sun was setting when they finally put out the fires and removed most of the debris. The warriors left for their dojo. Talking about anything and everything while they went, one person kept coming up: Sokka.

"So Suki, there was a point in the fighting where we couldn't find you or Sokka. What happened?" the girl closest to Suki asked.

"Nothing important," She said, sheepishly.

The girls walking in the back giggled and another spoke up.

"Well, your make-up is smeared."

"That could mean anything," Another girl teased.

"Do you think that maybe my make-up is messed up because of the fighting I did?" Suki tried to divert the conversation.

"It's mostly the part around your mouth is messed up," another girl chimed in.

"Umm…." Suki stuttered.

"So what were you doing?" The first girl asked.

Suki started to blush.

"So something did happen, tell us please," One of the girls in the back asked.

"Well, Sokka and I were hiding from one or two soldiers, he was apologizing and he looked so cute," Suki paused.

"Well go on, what happened?" They said with anticipation.

"I kissed him," She blurted out.

All the girls started laughing, and then the questions began to fly.

"What was it like?"

"Was he a good kisser?"

"What did he say after?"

"Did he kiss you back?"

"Do you really like that goof?" Suki stopped them

"Hey, one at a time. Yes, he did kiss me back and he is a goof, but I think that's what I like most about him."

They were all quiet for a while, until someone finally asked the question that was on all their minds.

"Do you think you'll see him again?" Suki smiled.

"I think that our paths will cross again, maybe even before the war is over." Suki answered as she turned her gaze to the sky.
