Total randomness. I was just thinking why MapleStory is named after the maple tree, when the only thing related to it in the game is Maple weapons. Maybe (I thought) it's symbolic?

So here's a poem about the maple tree, and its (pretty obscure) link to MapleStory.

Colours of the Maple

Green.

Green, like spring,

Like the freshness of a start—

A new journey.

The joy of something new,

A sight you have never seen before,

A song you have never heard.

Brown, like the strength of wood,

Like the pillars of power

The power to brave each challenge,

Each battle thrown in your face,

Told you it was random. Wow, I managed to get so much meaning out of a tree. Well, it's a special tree, so…

PS I realised that I am one of the only people around who is constantly adding new fanfics to the Maple archive! Other people mainly have chaptered fanfics that they continue.
