A/N: This is the last of my set of four shorts (Honor, Anger, Logic, and Joy). Thank you all for reading, and I hope you have enjoyed them.
Disclaimer: I don't own the TMNT
Hey, Dude! I'm Mikey!
And guess what! The coolest thing just happened!
Well, OK, maybe it's only one of the coolest things that've ever happened. I mean, right now, we're in the future 'cause April and Casey finally got hitched and their grandkid is like this human version of Don and ended up pulling us through his time window thingy. That was pretty cool.
But this is even cooler!
We got this letter from some lady who lives in Midtown saying that her mom knew us. Or at least, knew Leo and Don. But anyway, listen to this:
Dear turtles,
I wish to thank you in place of my mother. She recently passed on at the age of one-hundred and three. However, it is because of you turtles that she managed to live that long. So thank you, Blue, saving her life.I hope you remember her. She was the Foot ninja you pulled out of the water.
OK, that's a story I want to hear from Leo. I don't think I've heard that one. Wonder why not, I mean it's not like…oh wait, a girl Foot? Now I really want to hear it!
I would also like to thank you, Purple, for helping her escape from the clan.
Donnie? Are my bros trying to keep secrets from me?
She spoke very fondly of you.
Okay, it's definitely a conspiracy.
When I was really little, I didn't believe you were real. I thought you were a nice story that my Mom made up for my bedtime.
Of course you didn't believe. We're unbelievable!
However, when I saw you on the news the other day
Wait…we were on the news? And I didn't know it? GAAK! What if I didn't smile? I hope they got my good side!
"Hey Raph! Were we on the news?"
He's glaring at me. Ooh, that's good.
"No. Leo and I were. You weren't."
"WHAT?!?!?!?! How come you got on and I didn't? I'm the handsome one!"
"You didn't beat Triple-Threat in Time Square."
"Dude, you got on the news for that?"
He's giving me such a glare. Awesome! I got him without even trying. Man, I'm good! I grin back at him. That seems to make him even more annoyed and he goes back to reading the paper. How boring. Unless maybe he's reading the game section. The future's got wicked awesome games. You should really try them some time. What was I doing? Oh, right, the letter.
However, when I saw you on the news the other day, I realized that all she had told me was true. Come to think of it, I don't even know if you are the same turtles or if they were your forefathers or something.
Nope. Same ones, kid.
Either way, I would like to say thank you for everything. She had a very happy life in Arkansas and then later when she moved back to New York after the Foot collapsed.
The Foot went down? That's good news. I wonder if we did that…or are going to do that…this whole being in the future thing and hearing all the stuff that you did but haven't done yet is really confusing. Man! My brain hurts!
Yours truly, Joy.
Joy. What a nice name. Donnie's just walked in.
"Hey, dude! You got to read this letter!"
He took it and read it.
"Um, Donnie?"
He's blushing. Donnie's blushing and rubbing his cheek. What the shell did I miss?
