A/N: I've always loved Draco/'Mione. The whole love-hate thing... -swoon-
Disclaimer: I own nothing. Now, ON WITH THE STORY!

"Come on Ron, Harry! Hurry up, we'll be late!" exclaimed a girl with
brown bushy hair, dark eyes and an exasperated expression as she tugged a
boy with messed black hair and glasses, and a boy with red hair and
freckles into the dank dungeon classroom. There were two tables left, with
two seats at each. Harry and Ron dashed off and grabbed the table
nearest Neville Longbottom and Lavender Brown, leaving Hermione to take the
table that was like an island adrift in a sea of Slytherins. She
plopped herself down and sighed. Great, just great.

A boy with sleek blonde hair and icy eyes sauntered down a dungeon
hallway, smirking as he went. He knew he was late, but he didn't care – it
wasn't like he would get in trouble. He had watched a bit of a Muggle
movie the night before where a boy was teasing a girl by saying that he
'Loooooooved' her. He smirked and decided that that would be fun to do
– and he decided who he'd try it out on.

It was ten minutes into the lesson, and Professor Snape had the
students make a love potion, for reasons unknown to them. Most
people's love potions were brown and gluggy, except for Hermione's. Hers was
red as blood with swirls of pale pink that seemed to glow. Just then,
Draco Malfoy burst into the classroom. Snape looked up, smiled a quick
smile and shooed him to the only remaining seat which, to Hermione's
dismay, was right next to her. She turned back to her cauldron and stirred
six more times clockwise, as the instructions said to. She only looked
away when she heard a scrape of chair and a soft attention-grabbing
cough.
"Ahem!"
Hermione looked over at Draco, who was leaning forward slightly, a
teasing smirk on his lips. Hermione raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms.
"What is it, Draco?"

Draco bit his bottom lip and raked a hand through his gorgeous blonde
hair. He grabbed her left hand and held it in his.
"Hermione…I need to tell you something…"
"Spit it out then, I need to finish the potion – Merlin knows you won't
be helping me!" she said. Her mouth went dry as she looked up at his
eyes.
He sighed softly and looked down at her gorgeous chocolate eyes. "Oh,
Hermione. I love you…" he said softly.

Hermione let out a soft gasp, as did everyone around her. Draco let out
a bark of laughter and Hermione blushed bright red. She jerked her hand
out of his grip and went back to stirring the potion. She felt
humiliated. What she didn't notice though, was that Draco had a small smile –
yes, a smile on his face. Now he could be peaceful, because the girl
that he awkwardly, secretly loved now knew – even if she thought he was
teasing…
