Note1: This little bunny of a ficlet has been hopping around in my head and whispering 'write me' for the longest time now that I just had to get the damned thing out. Now that it's out it has started a ficlet orgy of horny bunnies, so that being said this is the first in a lovingly done series of tiny one-shots of various events that happened in the show or movies. All are Q/R. SLASH. Don't like, don't read.
Note2: Un-Beta'd as usual. Sorry.
Disclaimer: I don't own ST:TNG. Never claimed I did or will I ever
-Enjoy!
Forever

"Speak for yourself, sir. I kinda planned on living forever."(1) Riker said quietly, eyes flashing briefly with an unknown emotion before being quickly hidden behind his normal jovial expression.
Gaining a small smile and laugh of amusement from his captain, Will smiled broadly, knowingly at him in return before glancing sadly one last time at the rubble that was once a beautifully decorated Ready-Room.
His fingers itched to be snapped.
Heart yearned to bring back all those lost souls whose deaths were so unfairly taken.
He couldn't though.
While he wished so desperately to do so he knew, instinctively knew, that this was meant to be. As sad as it was, it had to happen this way. Lives taken, destroyed, changed. It was this universe's destiny, especially if he wanted this universe to continue on being.
Sighing in acceptance, and rubbing a large hand over his face and through his hair Riker returned his attention back to Jean-Luc and silently followed his commanding officer through the broken doors into the demolished, smoking Bridge.
They entered the room just in time for him to see his invisible lover snap his fingers silently.
The joyous cry of 'Spot' said it all.
He'd known that Data's desperate search to find his missing cat alive was sorrowfully not going to happen.
To see that at least one life could be brought back, even as small as a cat's was wonderful. Mentally thanking Q for his timely save, Riker smiled at the cute picture the android and cat made with their happy reunion.
This wasn't the end, just the beginning of things to come. And if Commander William T. Riker had anything to say/do about it things were just about to get very interesting around here.
Bright, blue eyes shined with love and glee as right before he dematerialized back to the Farragut, Will blew his lover a kiss that once everyone was back on the ship came to life and chased after Q until it reached him leaving several red-lip stained impressions all over his face and neck.
