In order to fully get this, you're going to have to have watched the first few episodes of FMA and know who Nina is for this to mean anything. I wrote this 'cause, well, I'm tired, it's early in the morning, and I think Edward should have a daughter. The name of the daughter wasn't planned, just kind of happened, but I'm happy with how the plot fit with it, I guess. This was a fun piece to do, whether it be good or not, as I did it through the morning housecleaning back and forth. Please review, thanks!
---------------
Winry awoke upon a Friday morn to the warm sunset portraying handsome corals over her bedspread, the left curtain opened the slightest to reveal dawn breaking into a euphoric symphony of aurora hues, and her small daughter silent amidst her dreams.
As Winry stretched, bare feet slipping over the cold floor to her dresser, she noted how proficient her hair was positioned – as if it had been brushed through inattentively with worn fingers before her awakening. She issued a knowing smile to her husband, pillow tussled with a crown of flax hair loitering his head, mouth faintly ajar, chest rising and falling in that kaleidoscope course she had memorized over the years.
And into the shower she went, nightgown slipped off and her husband's efforts own the drain, her blonde hair sudsy and frothy, taking in the deep fragrance of lavender and thyme enveloping her.
And once she was in her usual mechanics attire, she declined a comb through her hair, lips grinning at this life that she was surrounded by.
Her daughter. Ed.
Sound arms wrapped around her waist, head buried in her moist hair, tepid breath tickling her neck. Winry turned to kiss his forehead, offering a "morning, Mr. Alchemist," (in which he raised an eyebrow at), and a "she slept soundly" before returning to the grooming her golden locks, which was not needed, but a routine of teasing him.
What she was not expecting, however, was to be lifted back into bed, and a reply of "go back to sleep," against her shoulder.
"But your daughter needs breakfast, sleepy head…"
He grunted, stubbornness and slumber overcoming his speech. "Nina will be okay. Go back to sleep."
And so, with a sigh, she let Edward's show of sentiment enshroud her in sleep, wrapping her snug in arms to offer all of the security and assurance he had.
She would subject some payback later when she wasn't so comfortable.
