If this were a different place
Than he would not be Harry,
He would probably be called
Galahad, the most noble knight or the Round Table.
And why not Lancelot?
The most famous knight of the table
The one who is known by everyone.
He's famous throughout the land, too.
But like Galahad, the golden one
He, too, is golden. His name will
Never tarnish, gold does not rust
And if nothing more he will be
Remembered as the surviving one.
Then what about me? If I lived in Camelot,
Would I be Sir Lancelot?
Most likely not,
I am no one's favorite here,
Despised, loathed and feared.
And like the person I resemble
I am fated to kill the one I hold most dear.
I wonder if Sir Mordred ever wished
He was good enough to find the Holy Grail.
And for one small moment of joy
Be Camelot's golden boy?
