It was raining.
Not the bad kind of rain, though.
The rain that comes when you're sitting in your room, under your blanket with a warm cup of tea and someone to snuggle with while listening the water droplets hit your window.
Alex was grateful he had company.
On such a boring, slow Sunday so was James Sprintz.
The German boy had called Alex a few weeks ago and invited him over to his mansion (more like castle) in Düsseldorf. Alex was on summer holidays. James was simply skipping school. Not that his father cared anymore – he was just happy to have his son back alive and safe.
So James was now practically allowed to do anything. Including snogging a fair-haired, British boy, who looked incredibly sexy with his hair tousled. Though Alex wouldn't accept a comment for anything in the world.
James wrapped his arms around Alex, who was resting his head on the German boys chest. No words were needed as they watched the rain from James' bed.
"Will you miss me?" Alex finally broke the gentle silence.
James shook his head. "No" he said quietly.
Alex sat up, looking James in the eyes. "Why not?"
"You're not leaving, that's why." James took the British boy in his arms once again and rested his forehead against Alex's.
Alex rubbed his nose against James'. "I have to go home" He whispered.
"You are already home".
Before Alex was able to reply James gently kissed him. Holding onto Alex as if he would disappear any moment, he pulled the boy closer to him.
Alex closed his eyes, as he felt James' warm lips upon his. He relaxed as James devoured his mouth and he suddenly – finally – broke the kiss. Alex kissed his way down to the pale boys neck, and started sucking on James' throat. He heard James mutter a breathless "fuck", and he smirked. Kissing his way up again he kissed James once on the lips before parting.
"Will you miss me?" Alex asked again.
James rolled his eyes and suddenly jumped on Alex, forcing him down. "You're not going anywhere, so stop fucking asking that." He growled.
Alex smiled reassuring and glanced at the window.
"It's still raining."
"I know." James sighed and rested his head on Alex's chest. After several minutes silence and the rain seemed never ending, Alex heard James' quietly say: "I'll miss you, you know."
"I know," Alex replied quietly and held James tighter.
