HunterX097: I come back xD. This is the chapter 4, it's a little longer so it took me a while. On second thought, I decided that Naruto won't need a Sharingan as he himself is powerful. However, I'm thinking about Akame and Kurome as long lost Uchihas. What do you think? Let me know by your reviews.

Shikamaru will appear later and pair with Kurome. I know many people prefer ShikaTema, but this is just a fanfiction. Sometimes, changing is quite interesting.

One more thing: Should I kill Bulat or not?

Night Raid's base

It has been two week since the Zank the Executioner mission. Walking on the hallway, Naruto thought about everything happened. Tatsumi had been training with Bulat and Mine, he was quite sure there was something else in the latter person though. Leone and Lubbock went out for collecting information. Sheele was still in the hideout and usually read her book, Naruto talked to her sometimes and he knew more about her before she joined the Night Raid. Najenda was still busy with contacting with the Revolutionary Army. And finally, Akame...

Naruto sighed when he thought about the blood-red eyes assassin. Since the night they had came back from the battle with Zank, Akame nearly didn't let him out of her sight. She was still the usual cool and monotonous Akame, but the shinobi felt there was something strange in her. When Naruto went out and collected the information, Akame asked for pairing to him, which Najenda refused because her face was on the wanted poster though. Once he just came back, she hunt him down to take off his clothes and checked any injuries on his body, no matter he just walked around to hear the situation.

"Isn't it a good thing? Your girl is more protective of you." Kurama said in a teasing tone.

'Kurama. I said she's just a friend, she cares for me the way she always does to her other comrades." Naruto said, rubbing his temper.

"Well, I don't think so. I can feel her feelings for you is much more stronger than before." Saiken informed.

'Because I was just a stranger to her when we had first met. Now she considers me as one of her friend, a fellow assassin.'

'If only he saw what she did when he fell asleep on her, he wouldn't tell that.' All tailed beats thought with sweat-drop.

'Alright, Najenda said that I, Leone, Sheele, and Mine would have our mission today. I suppose I have to meet them now. See you later.' Naruto said before the link was cut off.

Northern Tribe's Capital Fortress

The scene in the Northern Tribe's capital was one of absolute slaughter. Hundreds of corpses, killed in a variety of ways, littered the streets. Soldiers were frozen is solid chunks of ice, civilians were crucified openly, decapitated bodies were nearly everywhere. In the capital's fortress, Numa Seika, the Hero of the North, was naked and chained around the neck. He was now mentally broken, and was panting, drooling mess. A tug on on Numa's chain caused him to gaze up at the one who had conquered his people. Her icy stare was as cold as the ice she used to crush his forces. The woman presented her boot to Numa, and he obediently licked it.

"Man, the Northern tribe was defeated in no time." A soldier commented, "Just as we expect from General Esdeath!"

"The soldiers and civilians moral has been shattered." Another solider added, staring at the pathetic man that Numa had become.

"Tch, this is who was touted as the Hero of the North? What a load of shit." Esdeath said, glaring harshly at Numa. With a swift kick, her boot pierced Numa's skull; spraying his blood across the floor around him.

"What a pathetic dog..." Esdeath rose from her seat, her army at her back. "Is there no one who can satisfy me as my enemy?"

Three hours later, Imperial Capital Slums

Naruto and Leone were walking through the hometown of the blond woman. While they were walking, many people greeted Leone and she replied them kindly.

"It look like you're popular here, Leone." Naruto said, looking around, 'This place is just so alive.' He thought to himself.

"I grew up here, so this area is my hometown!" Leone said cheerfully. "When you're born in poor situation, you learn to become more stronger. I've also gained a reputation for being a fantastic masseuse..."

"Oi! There she is!" A voice of a man called out.

"It's Leone!"

"Pay all your debts!"

"Give me back the money you stole from my brother!"

"Oi, those friends of yours?" Naruto asked suspiciously as he gazed at Leone.

"Ah! Don't worry about them!" Leone replied with a smile, "This place is pretty interesting...and I think we should run now." She took off running.

Naruto sighed in annoyance, "You, yes; me, nope." And he disappeared in a puff of smoke.

"Hey! No fair!" Leone yelled in protest, dodging a bottle that was thrown at her.

Capital's Red Light District

"Yo, Leone." Naruto raised a hand to greet while the other one was holding the orange book in front of his face

The woman glared at him, "You! How could you leave me behind!?" She pointed at him accusingly.

"They're finding you, not me." Naruto replied with a shrug, putting the book into his pouch, "So this is the red light district, eh? Seems pretty exciting." He said as he looked around.

"What honest comment! That's so sweet." She said with a smile, "Now, then...Time get to work, and repay those debts!"

Naruto looked to his right and watched when Leone was activating her teigu.

"Transform: Lionel!" Her body was bathed in brilliant golden flames. Her hair elongated and cat ears appeared on top of her head. Then her hands turned into powerful claws and a tail snaked out of her back.

"Changing into this always gets me punped!"

"Oh, cool." Naruto commented.

"Now, let's sneak in and kill them." Leone said as she ready to jump. Naruto followed after her. They jumped from the roof towards an opening entrance at phenomenal speed. They sped behind the guard and crashed through a window on the building's top floor. After hearing nothing for a few moments, Leone wiped the sweat off her brow and let out a sigh of relief.

"Phew! We made it, no problem!"

'This is what she call sneaking' Naruto thought with a sweat-drop.

"Come over here, Naruto." Leone called and Naruto went to her. She moved a board to the side, "Take a look." Leone said with quiet voice as she showed Naruto.

'Holy shit!' Naruto widened his eyes as he saw lots of women lying about the floor matted with wood. They were half naked with clothes slight falling off. He also saw a large golden cauldron, the smoke in the air. The door opened and there were two men entering the room with the girls.

"Oh!" The man with an eye patch said. "Very nice! Very nice indeed. If you girls earn good money we'll send around more 'medicine' for you!"

"Yes, sir!" All of the girls stated.

"Hm?" The second man muttered, feelings something tug on his pant leg. Looking down, he spotted one of the girls giggling hysterically and appearing to be barely conscious.

"Boss...check this one out."

"Ah, that girl is no use to us now." The man with the eye patch said, "She smells like shit. She's obviously been completely broken."

"Gimme more!" The girl whined, "I want more!"

"Get rid of her. We can get a new girl to replace her in now time."

"Got it boss." The second man said, pulling out a switchblade and stabbing the girl in the neck. Up above, Leone tensed up as she watched the girl fall to the floor in a small pool of her own blood while Naruto narrowed his eyes.

"Are they our target?" Naruto asked in a cold tone.

"That girl he just killed..." Leone muttered darkly, her wild blonde hair hiding her eyes. "...was a friend of mine growing up." Leone growled and stood onto her feet. Punching a fist into her hand, she glared at the retreating men.

"Now I'm fucking pissed. Let's kill these sick fucks quick!"

"Alright." Naruto replied as he stood up and pulled up the black scarf to cover a half of his face and kept his hood up. He took out a pair of goggles with orange lenses connected to ear protectors, wearing it on.

"Nice disguise though I don't think it's really necessary." Leone commented with a smirk.

Naruto giggled at that, "It never hurt to be careful." He said, took a kunai from his pouch, "Let's work."

In the next room, the boss grinned as one of his henchmen handed him a drink. He released a content sigh as he sunk into his usual seat. Two girls walked up and hung off his arms; rubbing their large breasts against him.

"Boss...we should think about expanding our territory and area of operation" The man who had killed the girl said.

"That sounds like an excellent idea." The boss said, taking a sip of his drink. "I'll talk to Sir Chibul tomorrow."

As soon as the words left the boss' mouth, the ceiling to the room exploded open, and two figures dropped into the room.

"The only place you're going..." Leone snarled in anger, "...is hell!"

"A-Assassins!" The boss yelled, as he pointed at Leone and Naruto. "Get them!"

Immediately a dozen guards charged towards the shinobi and the assassin. Naruto rushed into and took down them at once with his kunai. While he was busy with the henchmen, another guard snuck up on him but Naruto knocked him out with a back kick. Leone took out three guards with one series of attacks. Then in one fluid motion, Leone whipped her leg around. Her foot slammed into one guard's side, which sent him crashing into three more henchmen.

"Y-You've gotta be fucking kidding! I don't want to die!" The guard said with panic voice as he raised his gun, but Naruto appeared in front of him and sliced his head off. Leone rushed to boss and grabbed his neck.

"W-What are you after!?" The boss exclaimed, struggling to breath. "Is it money!? Drugs!? I've give you anything you want! Just let me live!"

"We don't need your stupid money." The blond shinobi said firmly.

"W-What are you!?" The boss asked, his face starting to turn purple from lack of air.

"I'm just a good-for-nothing." Leone said, as her fist shot forward; piercing straight through the man's stomach. The drug trafficker immidiately vomited a large amount of blood when Leone pulled her bloody fist from his stomach. The man staggered for a moment, before he fell forward into a puddle of his own blood.

"That's why I get rid of trash like you."

After they're done, both Naruto and Leone then looked at girls who cooed in their drug.

"So, what are we going to do those girls?" Leone asked.

"No problem. Leave it to me." Naruto said as he formed a cross finger. "Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu!" He made 100 clones of Naruto.

"Okayyy, although I used to see you do it once, I can't help surprising with it, especially their number." Leone commented, shaking her head.

"Mah, just a simple trick." Naruto replied with a shrug, "Alright boys, your new mission is to heal these girls!" Naruto ordered.

"Yes sir!" Clones said in unison. They used six paths yang power and healed all girls.

Leone looked at the scene with a soft smile, "Thank you, Naruto." She mumbled, a tear falling down her cheek.

The young man stared at her for a while, then smiled back, "You're welcome, Leone." Leone blushed for looking at his toothy smile. It was sincere and truthful.

'This is cheating, Naruto. No wonder boss said that you're not only a normal assassin but a lady killer.' She thought to herself.

Same Time; Park in the Capital

"Damn that Chibul guy had way too much protection." Mine complained.

"Well, at least we completed the matter safely." Sheele said with a smile.

Sheele and Mine heard something and turned around when someone crashed into the ground in front of them. The three members of Night Raid all leaped back to put some distance between themselves and the possible threat.

'Who is she...' Mine thought, noticing that the girl was wearing the armor of a garrison guard. 'I didn't sense her presence at all...she's completely different from the other guards...'

"I knew it..." The girl said in a dark tone. "You're definitely Sheele from the wanted posters...You're a member of Night Raid! And judging by your friends Teigu and that other girls leg, they're members of Night Raid as well! I knew waiting until nightfall would prove fruitful...At last..." A maniacal smile spread across the auburn-haired girl's face. "At long last, I've found Night Raid!" The girl let out a sadistic laugh. "I am with the capital garrison! Seryu Ubiquitous! In the name of justice...I sentence you all to death!"

"She seems ready to go...Very well. Advantage favors whoever strikes first!" Mine said as she switch the trigger into auto gun and started shooting at Seryu. To protect its master, her teigu, Hekatonkheires, also known by his nickname Koro, stood between them and covered her from bullets.

"Mine, that's a teigu!" Sheele exclaimed.

"Yeah, and it's a biological type as well..." Mine said with an annoyed huff. "This is gonna be tough."

Suddenly, Naruto's eyes widened and he turned around at somewhere, having a bad feeling. He then turned back Leone.

"You come back the hideout first, Leone. I will catch you later" He said in a serious tone.

"What's wrong?" Leone asked concernedly when she saw his expression.

"They're in trouble. I'm going and helping them now." Naruto answered as he pull up his hood, and he then disappeared in an orange flash.

"Holy shit!" Leone said as she just saw Naruto teleporting away.

Back with Sheele, Mine, and Seryu

"Eat this!" Seryu yelled, raising two tonfa guns and opening fire on the assassins. But Mine and Sheele were prepared for this, and retreated to a safer distance.

'Tch, they're too far away for these to be effective.' Seryu then turned to her teigu, "Koro! Prey!"

The biological teigu roared as he raced towards Sheele, his massive mouth open revealing rows of razor sharp teeth. But Sheele remained calm and sliced his face very deep, but Koro got up and regenerate again. Mine was shooting with firepower at Koro's chest, but it's didn't work.

"Koro! Arms!" Seryu ordered as Koro's arms changed into huge muscle arms.

"God, that's just fucking wrong." Mine commented with disgusted expression.

"Koro! Crush them!" Seryu yelled as she pointed at two assassins. Koro charged towards Sheele and Mine, unleashing a barrage of attacks as he ran.

"Stay behind me, Mine!" Sheele exclaimed, sliding in front of Mine and raising Extase. The purple-haired woman grit her teeth as she used the giant scissors as a shield to block Koro's attacks.

Suddenly a piercing whistle sounded throughout the park.

"Reinforcements will be here in less than five minutes! It's all over for you Night Raid!" Seryu yelled with a crazy smile.

"Now she's called for backup. Looks like we're in a real pinch now." Mine said as she jumped over Sheele and shot Koro's head. After that, Mine jumped back and saw Koro regenerated again.

"Don't underestimate the durability of teigus!" Seryu exclaimed in a cocky tone.

Sheele raised her Extase. The giant scissors suddenly began to glow with blinding light. "Ecstasy!"

"A golden light!" Seryu yelled, raising her hand to block the intense light. "What the hell is this!?"

"It is the end for you!" Sheele shouted as she stabbed her scissors at Seryu. She sliced Seryu's both arms.

"Now you'll die." Sheele said as she was ready to finish her.

"Koro...Berserker!" Seryu ordered and the biological let out a deafening roar as his skin turned red and his muscle had increased.

'So they also have secret weapon.' Mine thought as she being grabbed very fast by Koro.

"Mine!" Sheele yelled simultaneously as she ran to Mine to save her.

"Crush her to death!" Koro followed his master's order and began to crush Mine. Mine screamed when she felt her left arm's bones shatter.

"Keep your hands off my friend!" Sheele screamed, using Extase to slice through both of Koro's arms. Mine crashed into the ground battered and beat, but alive. "Looks like I made it in time."

"Thank you, Sheele." Mine said, as she clutched her broken arm. Mine's eyes widened as a gunshot rang out, 'No!'

"Justice...has been served." Seryu said with a cruel smirk. Almost immediately, Koro charged into Sheele with his sharp-fanged mouth opening, readying to tear the purple haired woman in two. However, a certain shinobi wouldn't let that happen.

"Like hell I will let it happen again!" A strong voice called out and then a figure sped toward while a blue ball was formed in their right hand. He slammed the ball into Koro's stomach, which made the biological teigu scream in pain as he was flown off.

"WHAT!?" Seryu shouted in astonishment as she witnessed the incredible scene in front of her.

"Look like I arrived on time."The savior said playfully as they landed and stood in front of Sheele and Mine protectively, "I'm sorry I'm a little late. You wouldn't believe the traffic." Despite of the goggles, the scarf mask and the hood of the hoodie, two female assassins still could noticed one of the new member of Night Raid by his voice and the mixture of craftiness and determination.

"Naruto...Is that you?" Sheele asked quietly.

"Weirdo." Mine mouthed as she sat next to Sheele, directing pressure on the purple head woman's wound.

"You're a mess. I suppose that girl is pretty tough." Naruto said, looked at the orange haired girl in front of him, "That uniform..." The jounin mumbled as he recalled the captain of the Imperial Police Tatsumi killed and he narrowed his eyes, "You're one of Orge man's lapdogs?" He asked in a boring tone.

Seryuu rolled her eyes, "So you the real one who killed my mentor, General Orge! Everyone! Charge!" Seryu ordered Koro and her reinforcement.

"Not bad. Your teigu can regenerate and you even have reinforcement, but…" Naruto said as he pulled the scarf down and started making hand signs, "...it isn't even enough to entertain me! Fire Style: Burning Ash!" He spewed out a stream of a thick black ash directly at the group of Imperial Police. After just a moment, he retreated back and brought up a lit match, flicking it at the cloud of gunpowder. It exploded, killing Seryu's reinforcement and blowing up Koro as he was shielding his master from the blast.

"What!?" Seryu was stunning as she looked her teigu was blew and her fellow imperial polices was dead in the explosion, 'What the hell is this guy!? Even Koro...' Luckily, the core of her teigu was intact, so Koro could regenerate but it was gonna take a while for that.

Both Sheele and Mine hardly believed what they were seeing and were gaping. They heard from Leone and Akame about his abilities and skills and they had to admit he was strong and powerful. Who could be supposed weak as they could survive from a injury from the Demon Sword Murasame? Not to mention he even had one-on-one with Zank the Executioner, a teigu user while he only used the normal weapon and some strange ability that Sheele and Mine'd never seen anywhere.

For Seryu, she was totally surprised at the arrival of the new guy, but she quickly regained her caution, "Who the hell are you!?" She yelled in anger.

'The explosion drew imperial guards's attention around here. I don't want to kill blindly as not all of them are evil, and both Sheele and Mine are wounded now.' Naruto thought, narrowing his eyes, "Let's get out of here." He said as he grabbed Mine and Sheele. With a puff of smoke, the shinobi disappeared with two girls without leaving a trace.

"Damn, if it hadn't been for that stranger, Night Raid would be dead to me." Seryu gritted her teeth and looked up at the sky, "Forgive me, otou-san, sensei. I have failed you." She muttered sadly

After a while, a group of guards that were led by a young man arrived, they widened their eyes at Seryu's well-being.

"Seyru, you are injured! I'll take you to the hospital." The young man from the imperial guards said as he picked Seyru up, "Let's split up and look for Night Raid." He ordered imperial guards who scattered in groups towards different directions, then started walking to the hospital.

Night Raid's Base

"They should have been back by now." Akame said, pacing back and forth. All of Night Raid's members were gathered in front of the hideout, waiting for their last members to return. It was late into the night but Sheele and Mine had yet to return, not to mention the blond troublemaker whom according to Leone, leaving to go somewhere and it made the red eyed assassin be more anxious.

A few minutes later, the rest of Night Raid felt someone approaching towards them. They then were treated to a sight they were not expecting. In front of them was someone wearing as like a disguise, all of them easily realized that was Naruto...with Sheele on his back while Mine was carried on his arms. The man looked fine but two girls didn't as they looked very tired.

"Hey guys. I'm glad everyone is here for welcoming us back." Naruto said with a cheerful voice as he put Mine and Sheele down.

"Mission accomplished, though on the run we had some difficulties." Mine informed.

"I can see it by your arm, what happened?" Najenda asked.

"We were intercepted by an imperial guard with her Teigu." Mine began to tell everything that happened in the park. Everyone widened their eyes as they heard her report, and then they looked over at Naruto who took off the hood, the scarf and the goggles, revealing his handsome, whiskered face.

"Well, a suitable disguise for an assassin at night I think. But that thing...won't it hinder your visibility? Especially in the night." Lubbock asked as he pointed at the goggles on Naruto's hand.

"Oh this? I'm used to wearing it at night so it's no problem." Naruto answered with a small smile, "It's a gift from my sensei." He said, looking down the goggles.

Menawhile, Akame, no one knew when, walked right up to Naruto and started gawking at him from either side. She frowned at bloodstains on his jacket.

"Are you hurt?" She asked with displeased tone.

Before Naruto could say anything, Mine got out, "Nope, it's my blood." She said as she turned to allow Akame to see her arm that was wrapped in casts.

Akame gazed at Mine's left arm, then turned around at the blond and checked him again. She was about to strip him but Naruto caught her arms instantly. Well, he appreciated her concern for comrades and friends, but he didn't think he could be shirtless in front of the rest of his team now, especially as all ladies were here.

"Akame, I'm really fine. No wound or anything. You can ask Leone or Sheele or even Mine, they will testify for me." Naruto persuaded Akame who then looked over at three said females. After receiving nods from them, she let out a sigh of relief.

"It's good thing that you guys are alright." Akame said with a gentle smile, which made Naruto blush a little.

At that time, Mine walked to him, "Thank you for saving us." She said with soft voice and turned away immediately, which made Tatsumi and Leone giggle.

"You're welcome, midget-chan." Naruto said with a foxy grin, patting the pink head. Mine pouted a little at first, but she till had a small smile on her face.

"Let's celebrate party for welcoming them back!" Leone screamed.

One hour later

"PAAAH!" Leone cheered with a ruddy blush, after taking a long swig of her beer. "That's some good shit right there!" The busty blonde assassin continued to drink her beer with one arm, while the other was wrapped around Naruto's neck. Night Raid except Sheele who was sleeping in her room because of her tiredness and stressful had a party now.

"I will prefer if you let me go now, Leone." Naruto said with a slight blush as his face was pressing deep into her cleavage.

"No way, Mr. Sunshine. You did very well today. Let me reward to you!"

Naruto sighed, he should have known she wouldn't hear. Akame used to warn it before, 'Suppose there is no other way.' He used Kawarimi and switched himself with the green head guy whose face buried into Leone's chest.

"What the fuck!? Get away from me, Lubbock!" Leone exclaimed as she pushed the perverted teen away from her.

"Awesome! I don't have anything to regret now! Thank you so much, Naruto!" Lubbock said with happy tears before Leone punched in his face. Everyone except Akame who was eating meats sweat-dropped at that scene.

"It's not a big problem, Lubbock and I hope you like it." Naruto replied with a grin, taking his book and reading.

"How could you do that to me, Naruto!?" Leone screamed.

"It's not my fault as you don't let me take my breath." He retorted and the Lioness pouted at that.

Meanwhile, Mine was sitting next to Tatsumi. The pinkette was trying to eat with her one good arm, but every time she tried to eat her food, her hand would start to shake and she would drop whatever was in her spoon.

"Why'd my right arm have to break!?" She complained in displeasure.

"Here Mine." Tatsumi said, scooping up some food and offering it to Mine.

A pink flush crossed the girl's face, "I can eat my own." She said quietly.

"Hurry up and eat or else, the food is getting cold." Tatsumi said, blushing slightly.

Mine was very embarrassed, so she had no choice to let Tatsumi to feed her. Sighing in defeat, Mine leaned forward and opened her mouth, eating the food.

'Wow, they're getting hang each other. Good job, Tatsumi!' Naruto thought as he did a thumb up at Tatsumi. The said boy had no idea what was he talking about.

"Naruto, why don't you use your healing ability to treat Mine's hand?" Bulat asked as he gave Naruto a beer.

"Well, mission with Leone and rescuing Mine and Sheele exhausted me much for using abilities, so I can't use it now. I will heal my eye later once I can, and Mine's arm." Naruto lied through his teeth and Bulat nodded, others also believed in that answer without doubting...except a certain red eyed girl.

Unexpectedly, Akame's eyes caught his armband and the goggles wearing on his forehead. She wondered so much about the strange symbol on the steel of the armband that Naruto always wore it on his left arm, but Akame really paid attention to it now, and the goggles...she thought she had seen a flicker of sadness cross his gaze as Naruto had looked at it when he explained to Lubbock. She wanted to ask him but she didn't know how to talk to him and she couldn't do that when everyone was around them.

"Anyways, Mine was witnessed Naruto's power today, right? I think you believe in my words now." Leone said with a smirk.

Mine twitched, she didn't like the smug expression on the face of the blond woman, but the pink haired sniper couldn't do anything as she denied Naruto's abilities from the beginning. She let out a sigh.

"Alright, I had my eyes opened. The weirdo is very powerful and he has my appreciation. Are you happy now?" Mine stated in annoyance.

"Awww, it's an honor for me, midget-sama." Naruto spoke with a taunt

Mine gritted her teeth, "I take my words back! You're still just an idiotic troublemaker!" She yelled as she pointed at the blond. Leone and Lubbock were bursting out laughing at his antics while Tatsumi just sighed and shook his head.

Najenda silently observed the scene in front of her and she couldn't help a slight smile to spread across her face. The atmosphere in here had been more comfortable and lively since Naruto had come to Night Raid. When everything became tense, there were always jokes he cracked or teasings aiming at Mine or Lubbock to diffuse tension. And it was not only that as the silver haired woman looked over at Akame.

'Not everyone can notice but it is obvious that she's enormously intrigued by Naruto. Certainly, she always cares for her teammates, but to Naruto, it even might be overprotectiveness. Well, I suppose it will be more interesting in the future.' Najenda thought with a grin.

"Okay, I think I'm leaving now guys. I'm sleepy now. Good night, everyone." Naruto informed with a yawn, "Oh, and have fun feeding Mine, Tatsumi." He said with a wink as he disappeared in a cloud of smoke.

"Damn you, you dumb weirdo!" Mine yelled, pissing off as Naruto always teased her, she respected him because of his abilities and she even owed him her and Sheele's life though. Tatsumi's face was turning bright red in embarrassment.

"Nyahahaha, but he is right. You two are having good time together." Leono remarked with a cat grin.

"Shut up, Leone!" Mine cried out.

Outside Night Raid's Base

Naruto didn't go back his room. Instead, he decided to enjoy the air for a while. The blond jounin was lying on the grass, putting his hands under the back of his head and looking up at the starry heavens. Letting out a sigh, Naruto took the goggles out of his head and took a view of it, thinking of its old owner.

"I suppose you haven't forgotten him, do it?" In his subconscious, Kurama spoke out.

'Oh hey, Kurama.' Naruto greeted his partner, not to take his sight of the goggles, 'Yeah, it's really difficult to forget him, even if I wanted it.'

The pair of goggles that Kakashi had gave Naruto on the day of promoting elite jounin. Needless to say, the blond had been stunning when he had hold the gift in his hand and couldn't do anything but staring at his sensei in shock. Perhaps more surprisingly, Kakashi had said that it was Obito's own aspiration that Naruto would posses his old goggles.

Matatabi let out a huff, "I can't believe you let that guy lurk around in your head. Don't you remember what he did to you and everyone around you?" She asked in annoying tone.

'I know, Matatabi. But you also don't forget Obito was hurt at that time and if fact, he's just a pawn of Madara and Black Zetsu.' Naruto said in a soft tone, 'Sadly, when he just realized his mistake, he sacrificed to protect me.' His voice filled with regret and sadness, 'This goggles is all that remained, and Obito expressed his last wish to give it to me..."

"To see the change of the world, to witness what you're doing to get peace, to remind you about mistakes he made." Kokuo said with gentle expression, "Am I not wrong?"

Naruto smiled at that, "Yeah, Thank you for the feedback, Kokuo." He said as he enjoyed the wind licking his skin.

He then decided to cut of the connection when he felt someone heading to him.

"If you lie here, you can catch a cold you know."

"Mah, it's not easy for me to get sickness, so don't worry, Akame."

Walking to next to him, Akame sat down and looked up at the sky too. No one said anything. Naruto was busy with enjoying the wind licking his skin while Akame just simply watch the sky, glancing at him sometimes.

Naruto broke the silence first, "Is there anything you want to tell me?" He asked.

"Nothing much. It's just that..." She said with hesitation, "...I want to thank you for saving Sheele and Mine.

"Nah, they're my friends and our companions. I won't never let my comrades die in front of me." He replied with a foxy grin.

"I'm really grateful you for that. I'm really worried whenever everyone leave for their missions. I don't know what I would feel if they didn't come back." She said, holding her thighs in her chest.

Naruto looked at her and sighed, "I know you're caring for everyone in Night Raid, but sometime you should believe in their abilities. They're your comrades and you know what they can do. By the way,..." He looked at her "...I'm here now, and I will do my best to make sure no one have to die." He declared, pounding his chest.

Akame looked at him, before smiling softly, "You're really weird you know sometimes." She said.

"Many people, including midget-chan, told me that." He replied with a chuckle.

"Mine will kill you someday if you continue calling her that nickname." Akame said, shaking her head in amusing.

"If she can I'm ready to let her try." He said and Akame giggled a little. Naruto couldn't help to see her looking pretty when she smiled.

'So adorable.' He thought with a slight blush.

"Naruto, can I ask you question?" Akame spoke out.

"Sure, what is it?" Naruto asked as he looked at her.

"It might be a little personal." Akame said as she interlaced his fingers, "I want to ask you about the armband on your arm and...that pair of goggles."

Naruto startled a little when he heard her answer, he then get his calm back instantly but he couldn't feel nervous inside. He knew Akame wasn't anyone he could underestimate, she was a professional assassin after all, not only her combat but many things. It's no wonder as she felt something off in him.

"What do you mean?" He asked quietly.

"Maybe it's just my imagination, I know there is something you didn't talk to us. Your look is sad when you eyes the goggles, and you even tried to tell too much about it, so I wondered. But you know, you don't need to tell me if you feel uncomfortable. I'm just curious a little." Akame said in a low voice.

Naruto stared at the girl in front of him. Although that was what she said, Naruto still saw a small ray of hope in her look. She was hoping he would tell her, sharing his secret to her. Naruto was feeling awkward now. On the one hand, the elite jounin fully knew the risk he might get himself into if he reveal about himself so much; on the other, he didn't want to keep secret from Akame. She was a nice and caring girl, he didn't think she would do something to use him.

'I suppose revealing a little won't hurt.' The shinobi let out a breath as he got up, sitting next to the jet-black haired girl, "It's not like I don't want to tell you, but it's quite complicated and I don't know how I talk to you." He said as he took off the hitai-ate and let Akame have a look, "The village where I was born is called Konohagakure no Sato (The Hidden Leaf Village), it's one of the most villages in the area. In those villages, they teaches and trains soldiers for protecting the village and do missions to get money or develop relationship between village. Every soldiers must wear this headband with the symbol of their village."

Taking the forehead protector from Naruto, Akame observed it interestingly, "So I suppose this is your village's symbol?" Naruto nodded at her, "Well, it look like more a maelstrom than a leaf." She remarked, 'As like your name...'

"Well, I can't deny that, but it has been the symbol since the village was founded." Naruto replied with a chuckle.

"If you have this, it means you're one of soldier in your village. No wonder your combat and fighting skills are very good."

Naruto smiled at her, "Yeah, but I spent so much time for training to get that, plus wars I went through." He replied.

Akame looked surprised, "You joined wars?"

"It's a long story. I only can say there was two big war I got. The first war is an invading of two other villages, and we successfully repelled them, but the second war is the worst one." Naruto said as his expression turned grim, "There were some crazy guys and a certain old lady with ill intentions and they declared war on my village and our allies, so the war broke out and everyone such as me and my friends had to fight to protect our home." The blond looked back up at the sky and sighed, "That war is terrible and a true nightmare. Lots of my comrades died, including my best friend..." He talked with sad look as he remembered Neji's death.

"I see." Akame sat in silence for a while. Then the female assassin moved a little closer to him and touched his hand. "You still have your other friends in your homeland. By the way, you got new friends here and we will be there for you. I will help you whenever you need." She said softly, smiling at him.

Naruto stared at Akame for a while, before he beamed at her, "Thank you, Akame."

"What about the goggles?" The girl asked as she pointed at the said thing.

"It used to belong to an old teammate of my sensei." Naruto talked with a soft tone, "His name is Obito and his famous quote is 'Those who break the rules are trash, but those who abandon their comrades are worse than trash', it's also the first lesson I learned from my sensei."

"That quote...I like it." Akame answered with a small smile.

"Unluckily, something happened and he, from a nice, kindness and loyal person, turned into an hateful and selfish man. He was no longer caring about his village, his friends, or even his name, all of them being worthless parts of a world he thought it was miserable." Naruto said in sorrow, "He was used by others and triggered the second war I told you." He stated and Akame widened her eyes. Naruto continued the story, "I came face-to-face with him and had a battle. Many thing happened then and finally, he realized his mistakes and helped me and my teammates to fight against the last enemy, but he blocked a deadly blow for me and died then." He got out quietly as he took the goggles in front of his face, "This goggles...my sensei said it was his wish that I have it. Obito himself made bad decisions. He wanted to redeem himself and got the peace by better ways, but he finally couldn't complete that. I suppose he asked my sensei for giving this goggles because he wanted me to inherit his will and dream, using my power and abilities to fight and protect people, helping to create the true peace." Naruto put the goggles on his forehead again.

"...You were through so much." Akame said quietly.

"Yeah, and I learned many valuable lessons, but I know I still have much to learn more." Naruto then turned around at Akame, "For example, if I want to see clearly my comrade's well-being, it's not only checking them normally but stripping them off." He said in mischievous tone, trying to light the atmosphere up.

A red flush creeping across Akame's face and she looked down in embarrassment. Naruto was teasing her. Now not only Mine and Lubbock, Akame was becoming an other victim of his taunts. Looking at her reaction, Naruto had a good laugh, which earned him a karate chop from the red eyed assassin.

The South of the Capital

A woman with pale blue hair smiled, as the danger beast she was riding neared the capital. Esdeath relished in the thought of fighting new prey. Night Raid, hopefully they would prove to be worthy foes.

"Capital I'm home."
