Well as it turns out a lot of you were interested in the idea for this story so I decided to go ahead and get on it. In case you didn't read Deku of the Mochi the basic idea is that Deku is older and has Chrollo Lucilfer's nen ability as his quirk. As of right now I don't have a hero name in mind for him, I wouldn't mind some suggestions. Also since most of you are familiar with the main cast of My hero I'm not going to go describing what they look like. Anyways that's the general breakdown I hope you guys enjoy it.
Quirks were an amazing phenomenon. Since their emergence daily life changed all over the world. People gained incredible abilities and what was once a fantasy became reality. Whereas before children would grow up wanting to be law enforcement or doctors, now the majority of kids all aimed to become pro heroes. However, with that kind of power it was inevitable that there would be people who abused said power for their own selfish gain or for the sake of chaos.
For instance, a couple days a group of people banded together to attack the Unforeseen Simulation Joint, a training facility owned by the most prestigious hero school in the country, UA.
These villains made their goal clear, to kill the symbol of peace, All Might. Fortunately their plan failed as All Might arrived on the scene and managed to beat the artificial monster the villains had somehow created. What was strange was the fact that the beast had somehow been embedded with multiple different quirks all designed around taking down the number one hero. The emergence and attack of this group led to a meeting between the pro heroes who served as the staff at UA to discuss what should be done. Not only about the villains but also the safety of their students.
Currently pro heroes Ectoplasm, Midnight, Eraserhead who currently looked like a mummy due to his injuries, Present Mic, Powerloader, Vlad King, and All Might were sitting in the principals office giving their report about the situation that took place.
"I see" The small rodent nodded as he took in the information. "It's likely that these villains will seek to try again if the behavior of their leader upon his defeat is any indication. Whether directly or by targeting the students is still to be seen. However, first we need to increase security and reassure the public something like this won't happen again."
Eraserhead coughed to clear his throat before speaking. "With the sports festival coming we need more heroes around the parameter. I doubt the villains will attack so soon after their failed attempt but we can't be sure."
The other heroes shared the sentiment and immediately began to pitch ideas for who would be best suited for the job. About an hour later they had a full list of heroes who they'd ask to be part of the extra security around the arena. Heroes like Death Arms, Kamui woods, and Mt Lady being some of the names that came up.
"Well now that that's settled there is something else we need to discuss." Eraserhead began, getting everyones attention. "None of my sources knew a group like this was forming in the shadows and that's cause for concern." As an underground hero he prided himself on his information gathering skills, so to have something like this happen didn't sit well with him.
Present Mic hummed softly and rubbed his chin in thought. This action caught the attention of the principal who turned to him with an eyebrow raised. "Do you have something on your mind?"
Mic turned to his old friend Eraserhead. "There's someone who might know a bit more about this group. We grew up with him."
At this everyone became interested as Eraser never shared too much about his life. Sure some knew him when he was a student but not much about what he was like or who he hung out with after school. "You're talking about Midoriya." It wasn't a question. He knew exactly who his friend was referring to. "We haven't spoken to or seen him in years."
"True" Mic replied "but even though he didn't come with us to UA he did end up getting a hero license. That means he's a part of the pro hero association. It shouldn't be too hard to reach out to him."
"Ok so do you guys wanna let us in on who this Midoriya guy is?" Midnight asked having had enough of being left out of the loop.
"He's…someone we knew a few years ago." Eraserhead didn't want to say friend as he wasn't sure if after so many years of no contact they could still be considered such. "He was different. He wasn't a bad guy but he tended to be around less than stellar company."
Mic took over from here. "From what he told us he was born and raised in a really shady part of Osaka before moving here when he was thirteen. Said that poor families like his got poorer while the heroes and even the criminals lived well. His family caught a break when his old man was offered a job in Musutafu. Eraser and I were the first friends he made here.
He'd tell us how he believed the heroes there only did enough to keep their reputation up and purposely left some criminals out there. He wanted to become an underground hero to fix that. However, when it came time for him to apply to a hero school he didn't pick UA like we thought." He explained. The heroes around him all seemed to be pretty immersed in the story, curious to know more about this mystery friend.
"To our surprise he decided to go to a smaller hero school. During his three years he'd disappear on the weekends never saying where he went or what he was doing. He never came back beat up or with money on hand so I assume he wasn't involved in any illegal business. However, considering the people he seemed to attract I'd say he was making underground connections. I could be wrong but it's most likely the case. The last time we spoke to him was after he graduated and got his hero license." Eraser concluded.
Now it was Nezu's turn to hum in thought. He turned his attention to his desktop and began typing away for a few minutes before moving his screen to show the others. "Is this him?" An image popped up of a green haired man with no facial hair who looked like he was in his early twenties.
"Oh my what a handsome man. Are you sure he's our age?" Midnight asked with a sly smile as she stared at the image in front of them before turning back to her two colleagues. "You'll introduce me won't you?" Eraserhead ignored her while Mic gave her a thumbs up and a 'you bet'.
"Name Midoriya Izuku. Age 29. Quirk: Bandit's secret, allows him multiple abilities." Nezu read out loud.
"Strange name for a quirk." Power loader commented. "Says it grants him multiple abilities but doesn't give any extra info about it."
"Anytime we tried to get more information about his quirk he would deflect the question." Eraser explained. "He tried his best to give as little information about it as possible. On the occasions that he did answer he'd say 'it's a secret'."
Midnight let out an unladylike snort of amusement. "Regardless of why he called it that it seems he's our best bet for information now."
"I agree. Aizawa can you contact him through the hero network and see if he knows anything about these villains?" Though it was a question everyone in the room knew it was more of an order.
The mummy like man nodded and began tapping on his phone screen as he logged into the hero network and pulled up the green haired mans profile. He tapped the 'request help' option and typed out his message. As he did so Nezu continued. "We'll have to send word soon to the heroes we've listed so they have enough time to let us know if they'll be available to help. All Might do you have anything to add?"
The number one hero shook his head, he'd been mostly silent during the meeting. His mind still processing that villains had created a monster to destroy him. There was only one person he knew of that could have given someone or something multiple quirks. He shook his head.
"Not necessarily. We just have to focus on handling public relations for now while Aizawa reaches out to his friend. Hopefully he knows something that can help us."
"That was fast." Aizawa said getting everyones attention. "He knows about them." They watch him scroll on his phone for a second before he continues. "Asked if I'd like to meet up to talk about it in more detail as he doesn't fully trust online communication."
"If he's telling the truth this could be beneficial. Even though the hero network is secure I can understand being cautious especially about a topic like this. However, if what you said is true about him making underground connections I'd prefer you not going alone." Nezu told him. "Not to say he's only playing a hero or anything but after what's happened you can never be too cautious."
Mic raised his hand. "I'll go as well."
"If you'd like I can tag along and wait nearby just in case." All Might pitched in.
Nezu shook his head "You'll attract too much attention. No I think it would be better if Midnight went with them. Her quirk could be helpful in case anything goes wrong." Eraser understood the sentiment but still inwardly shook his head. He knew Midoriya wasn't a villain in disguise or anything of the sort.
His phone chimed again making everyones eyes turn to him. "He's in Hokkaido at the moment and will be back in town tomorrow morning. He also sent an address to meet at."
The small rodent nodded "Very well. Eraserhead, Present Mic, and Midnight will meet with the man and find out as much as they can. Once they have more information we can decide on a course of action." Hearing the dismissal in Nezu's statement everyone stood and headed out to do their own thing.
Somewhere in Hokkaido a while ago
"So why exactly do you want to do this?" A green haired man asked a young woman. Said man was about 5'8 and wore black pants with grey straps that criss crossed upwards up to his knees, a dark green button up shirt with the top button left unbuttoned and black shoes. His name is Midoriya Izuku, underground pro hero.
Currently the man found himself in the home of his most recent client. A young woman in the countryside of Hokkaido who had an issue with her quirk.
"Because it's ruining my life." The young woman said clearly frustrated. "Everything I touch leaves the damn mark and I have to be careful not to accidentally touch it again with my other hand." She explained.
"So it's always active?" He questioned.
"Ever since it manifested when I was four." She answered "Do you know how annoying it is to remember everything you've touched"
"No I can't say that I do." Midoriya answered as he looked at the symbols on her hands. The left hand had a sun with a plus sign in the center while the right had a moon with a minus.
The woman's mother entered the living room holding a cup of tea in her hands. "Can you really do something about it? We did pay a lot of money for this after all." She emphasized the last sentence.
"Of course. As with all my clients I want to make sure you understand my method is a one time deal. If after this you changed your mind it would be too late. With that in mind do you still wish to go through with it?" Midoriya asked. He'd had many people decide afterward that they changed their mind only to become distraught after they realized the deed was a one time deal. He'd rather not deal with that headache again.
"Yes I'd rather be quirkless and be able to lead a normal life than to be weary of my quirk all the time." He nodded.
"Alright. There's a process to this so let's begin. Would you mind giving me a small demonstration of your quirk?" He requested so he could start fulfilling the requirements.
The girl nodded and walked over to a small vase. After looking to her mother and getting a nod of agreement she placed her right hand on the vase. When she removed it Midoriya noticed the same moon symbol on the object. She then touched it again with the left hand and upon touching it the vase exploded into pieces. "That's pretty much it. If I were to touch it with both hands at once it would detonate instantly." She added.
"So when both symbols come into contact with each other it creates an explosion." He thought as his mind raced with the many ways he could use this ability. "Interesting. How exactly does it work?" He asked though he already had a pretty good idea after seeing it in action. However, even though he knew he still had to ask in order for the requirement to be fulfilled.
"When both the sun and moon symbols touch, whatever they were placed on will explode. I did notice that if I held the touch for a little longer than just a quick tap the explosion becomes a bit stronger."
"So the explosion can increase in power if the seal is held in place longer than just a tap. I wonder if there's a limit to how much power it can generate?" He wondered to himself. "Alright I think that's enough." He said out loud before focusing. The two women watched in curiosity as his body was coated in a white aura. He extended his right arm outward and held his hand open. The aura took on a square shape at his hand before a red and black book materialized out of thin air.
They noticed the cover seemed to have some sort of writing on it but couldn't make out what it said as it looked like meaningless symbols. The other thing that stood out was the white hand print that lay on the cover above the strange symbols.
Midoriya held the book in front of the girl. "Please press your right hand on the hand print." The girl looked nervous, possibly thinking that if she did so she'd only apply the seal and this would all be for nothing. Seeing this Midoriya smiled at her in reassurance "Don't worry everything will be fine."
She took a deep breath and placed her hand on the cover. The white aura once again enveloped the green haired man but this time covered her as well. Her eyes widened as the aura began to glow brighter before disappearing as suddenly as it had appeared. She removed her hand and noticed the book looked the same as before.
"Go ahead and touch something." She looked around and settled on the small coffee table in the center of the room. Midoriya could see the excitement and fear on her face as she reached down to touch the table. She tapped it briefly and she gasped when no mark was placed.
"It worked." She whispered before yelling it again in happiness. He watched as the two women hugged each other, happy that the quirk the woman had was finally gone and she could live a normal life. As the two continued to hug and cheer Midoriya opened the book to find a picture of the young woman as well as the sun and moon symbols on one of the pages. Under it was a small paragraph of what the quirk did and how it worked.
"Sun and Moon will work well with Order Stamp and Gallery Fake." He thought to himself as he'd already come up with a way to effectively use the stolen quirks. Well he said stolen but some, like in this case, were freely given. Others not so much. Happy that it had worked he closed the book and willed it to disappear.
As he opened his mouth to address the women he felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. After politely declining the mothers invitation to join them for dinner he fished out his phone and his eyebrows raised when he saw who the message was from.
"Aizawa?" "It's been years since I last heard from him." He thought to himself as he skimmed through the message. He wanted to know if he had any information on the League of Villains. He let a genuine smile grace his face. "Can't say I wouldn't like to see them again." He thought, he hadn't spoken to him in years either.
Typing his response he let them know that he did in fact have information on the league. If they wanted to know more he'd be back in town tomorrow and left his address as well as a time. He pressed the power button and the screen turned off as he put the phone away.
"Are you sure you wouldn't like to eat before you head out?" The mother asked one more time.
"Thank you but I'm going to have to decline as I have another appointment I need to get to. Anyways I hope you can enjoy life from now on." He told the younger girl who nodded happily at him. Seeing as he was finished he headed out.
After walking for ten minutes his phone buzzed again but this time kept buzzing indicating a call. He quickly pulled it out and tapped the green button before putting it up to his ear.
"What is it?"
"You were looking for more members. I found a good candidate. His name is Dabi. Currently staying in Hosu. He has a powerful fire quirk and from what I've gathered he fits all the criteria you have." The man on the other line said.
"Well you've never let me down before so I'll go have a look in a few days. Any chance you can arrange a meeting?"
"Should be simple enough. Hows three days from now at the usual base?"
"Perfect. I appreciate your hard work. This is why you're one of the spiders Giran."
And cut. Not gonna lie to you guys it was actually pretty difficult writing this chapter. It's one thing to have an idea in your head but putting it down and fleshing it out is another story. Anyways what did you guys think? Whether I'll continue this depends on how it's received, if you guys like it I'll continue if not I'll take a loss and delete and focus on the others. Also just so no ones confused he's an underground hero, only far more involved in the underworld than Eraserhead. The phantom troupe will be created though at the moment only three members are in. Those being midoriya as the head, Giran and someone else I won't say who just yet.
P.S 'This school has a prison?' next chapter should be up some time next week.
If you guys have any suggestions on how to improve the story should it continue or anything you'd like to see write a review or PM me.
