Vari hid behind a corner in the corridor of the Imperial fortress and peaked his head. Up ahead was the door to the shuttle pad which was being guarded by two Imperial riot troopers who appeared to be on the lookout for any intruders. Before either of them could catch notice of him, he quickly pulled his head back and gestured towards himself.

"This way, quickly!" said Vari quietly. Luke and Ahsoka rushed to his side, still restraining the bound and gagged Veers.

"Anything there?" asked Ahsoka quietly.

"The door to the shuttle pad is just up ahead" replied Vari quietly "Unfortunately, two riot troopers are standing guard"

"We might be able to take them together" said Ahsoka quietly.

"True, but it only takes one to signal the rest of the base" said Luke quietly.

"Yeah, not to mention they're all already looking for us" said Ahsoka quietly "If we give ourselves away, we could be taking on an entire army by ourselves" As Luke thought about the situation, he looked over at the riot troopers and then back towards Veers.

"If we can't fight them, maybe we can negotiate" said Luke quietly. Veers glared distastefully at the young Jedi as he placed his unignited lightsaber under the general's throat. "Get behind me, you two; there might be a way to reason with these guards"

"And what if it doesn't?" asked Ahsoka quietly.

"Then maybe it'll keep them preoccupied" replied Luke quietly "We'll see" He stepped out into the open and ignited the blade of his lightsaber, which was mere inches from Veers's throat.

"There they are, the intruders!" snapped one of the riot troopers as he activated his electrostaff "Quickly, I'll keep them busy while you alert the others!"

"Don't do that" said Luke. The other riot trooper was about to activate his comlink, but Luke's statement caused him to hesitate.

"Don't listen to him!" said the first riot trooper "We've been ordered to capture the intruders, call for backup immediately!"

"But we're also ordered to keep General Veers alive and the Jedi have him" said the second riot trooper "We must be careful"

"We don't want to fight; we just want to talk" said Luke.

"And what would you want to talk about?" asked the first riot trooper.

"I was hoping we could come to a compromise" replied Luke.

"A compromise, eh?" said the second riot trooper.

"What would this compromise include, intruder?" asked the first riot trooper.

"All we want is to leave this base" replied Luke.

"So you came here looking for a shuttle?" said the second riot trooper.

"Correct" said Luke.

"And what would you give us in return for disobeying direct orders?" asked the first riot trooper.

"In return, we'll give you back General Veers" replied Luke. Ahsoka and Vari gave Luke confused looks.

"Is that it?" asked the first riot trooper.

"Yes" replied Luke.

"Do you really think we're stupid enough to believe you?" said the first riot trooper "You two are Jedi and you seem to be affiliated with the Alliance; you are enemies of the Empire, we cannot allow you to escape. And how do we know you haven't stolen information or committed some form of sabotage? Furthermore; even if we do agree and follow through with what you're proposing, how can we trust that you'll hold up your end of the bargain once we've done ours? For all we know, you might just take both Veers and the shuttle and run. We cannot allow you to leave!"

"Try to think what's at stake and what you might achieve with this compromise" said Luke "You have my word that we've done nothing to hinder your operation. And even if we did, you might be able to recover from any damages better if you still have your general. I'm offering to give him back to you in exchange for a chance to get out of here" After hearing this, Veers gave the two riot troopers a threatening look. "Once we're off Imperial ground, you won't be under any obligation to protect us" The two riot troopers looked at each other before lowering their electrostaffs in submission.

"We accept your terms" said the first riot trooper. He then turned towards a panel next to the door and began typing into it.

"I don't like this" said Ahsoka quietly.

"Me neither" said Luke quietly "Keep an eye out for anything suspicious" At that moment, the riot trooper finished typing and opened the door. On the other side lay a long walkway that ended with a landing pad that housed a Lambda-class T-4a shuttle.

"You go first" said the second riot trooper. Luke, Ahsoka, and Vari stepped out onto the walkway with Veers.

"Hold it!" said the first riot trooper whilst stopping Luke "Let Veers go first"

"We'll release him once we get to the other side" said Luke. While he, Ahsoka, and Vari cautiously made their way towards the shuttle, the two riot troopers stepped outside and stood guard by the door. Luke carefully observed his surroundings; no other Imperials present and there were no signs of a trap. "Something doesn't feel right. I was hoping the negotiation would go well but I didn't expect it to go this good" As they reached the shuttle, Luke lowered his lightsaber from Veers's neck. "Well; it's been a pleasure doing business with you, general. But now I guess it's time to part ways" Suddenly, Ahsoka heard something behind her.

"Stun the blonde one" said the first riot trooper into his comlink. Without thinking, Ahsoka launched herself towards Luke and pulled him down, knocking Veers away just in front of them in the process.

"Look out!" exclaimed Ahsoka as a sniper shot blasted towards and just missed them. Now on the ground, she and Luke looked up at to where the shot had come from and saw what appeared to be a stormtrooper with a sniper rifle peering out from the balcony of the floor just above them.

"There it is!" said Luke "There's the trap!"

"Take them out before they reach the general again!" snarled the first riot trooper as he and the other riot trooper rushed forward with their electrostaffs drawn and ready to attack. Luke and Ahsoka quickly got themselves up and blocked their attacks.

"I knew it was just too good to be true" said Luke "You planned for something like this, didn't you?"

"Should any intruder attempt to escape with a hostage, General Veers put procedures in place to ensure their capture" said the first riot trooper "I'm glad you proposed a compromise first, it made this so much easier!" Whilst Luke and Ahsoka fended off the riot troopers, Veers slowly and carefully arched his back, slipped his bound wrists under his feet, and reached up to the gag around his mouth. However, Luke and Ahsoka caught notice of this.

"Get him to shuttle and start it up!" said Ahsoka "I'll fend off these two!"

"Right" said Luke. He turned back to the shuttle and rushed towards Veers with Ahsoka holding off the two riot troopers with her electrostaff. "C'mon, Vari!"

"I'm coming!" said Vari as he rushed after Luke and leapt onto the young man's shoulder again. Dashing over to the shuttle, Luke quickly tackled Veers and pulled him up the boarding ramp; but not before the general could rip the gag off his mouth and bark out one last order.

"DESTROY THE SHUTTLE!" yelled Veers. Hearing this, Ahsoka force-pushed the two riot troopers away and sprinted back to the shuttle.

"You heard the general" said the first riot trooper as he turned to the stormtrooper sniper "Destroy that shuttle before it can take off"

"General Veers is onboard, as are the intruders" said the stormtrooper sniper "They'll be destroyed!"

"He knows that" said the first riot trooper.

Meanwhile

Now onboard the shuttle, Ahsoka opened one the equipment storage rooms and pushed Veers into it.

"You've caused enough trouble" said Ahsoka. As she closed the storage room's door, she could not help but notice the nefarious smirk that now lay across Veers's face; but she could not focus on that right now, there were more important things to deal with.

"Keep an eye on him" said Ahsoka to Vari as she turned to the cockpit "Make sure he doesn't get out"

"Yes, ma'am!" said Vari with a salute.

"Is the ship ready?" asked Ahsoka as she entered the cockpit, where Luke was sitting at the pilot seat "You do know how to fly, right?"

"Yeah, I'm a great pilot" said Luke "But…more so with starfighters than shuttles" Ahsoka raised an eyebrow at this. "But a friend of mine did once give me a brief description about the controls of an Imperial shuttle and it does look similar to a T-16 skyhopper"

"Better than nothing, I suppose" said Ahsoka as she sat herself down at the co-pilot seat "Now let's go!"

Meanwhile

As the Imperial shuttle started up and began to lift off, the stormtrooper sniper pulled out a missile launcher and opened fire. However, the shuttle took off and the missile just missed it as it zoomed off into the clouds.

"They're gone!" exclaimed the second riot trooper.

"Not for long" said the first riot trooper "TIE bomber squadron, this is Imperial headquarters; we have a situation" While talking into his commlink, the cyan and yellow Prowler 1000 watched the two riot troopers before turning its gaze to the shuttle as it disappeared into the clouds

Meanwhile

"Well; that could have gone a lot better, but we made it out in one piece" said Ahsoka.

"That's what matters" said Luke "The rebel side of the city isn't far away, but I'll fly out a little farther just to be safe" As he looked over to Ahsoka again, he noticed that she looked fatigued and appeared overwhelmed. He was not surprised by this; she had been through so much all at once since awakening from stasis and he knew it was not going to end anytime soon. So much had changed in the galaxy since she was trapped within that stasis pod and she had found herself pulled into another war. If she was going to adapt to this new galaxy, there was a lot she needed to learn; but at the same time, there was a lot Luke wanted to learn from her. "So, what will you do when we get back?"

"Well; I've got a lot of catching up to do, so I guess I'll be doing that" replied Ahsoka "After that, I guess I'll try to figure out what to do next"

"The Alliance would be more than happy to take you in" said Luke "After all, we could always use another Jedi"

"Hold up, remember not to call me a Jedi" said Ahsoka.

"Oh, sorry" said Luke "You know what I mean, right?"

"Another Force-user?" replied Ahsoka "Well; after what we went through, I guess I can't really back out now; not without having a bounty placed on my head. It'll take some time to catch up on everything, so I guess I'll have to continue to watching your back. Man, if only Anakin was here" Suddenly, they heard loud blaster fire bombarding them from behind.

"Blast it, TIE bombers!" exclaimed Luke "Those riot troopers must have alerted them!"

"What now?" asked Ahsoka.

"We lose 'em, that's what" replied Luke. Abruptly, he swerved around at an unexpected rate.

"Woah!" exclaimed Vari as he held onto the floor desperately.

"I don't think that's enough" said Ahsoka.

"It never is" said Luke "But maybe we can get some backup" He began typing into the shuttle's communication system. "If those TIE bombers are still here, the X-Wings should as well"

Meanwhile

"Hobbie, watch out!" exclaimed Wedge as a TIE bomber fired torpedoes at Derek "Hobbie" Klivian's X-Wing and just missed him "Good grief, these bombers are a real pain; good thing we're almost done here" Ever since Rogue Squadron broke the TIE bombers' line, they engaged in a lengthy dogfight to keep them away from the Alliance ground forces. The TIE bombers proved troublesome, but most of them were now destroyed and all that remained were stragglers. Wedge and the others knew they could handle this if they remained vigilant.

"Rogue Squadron, come in" said Luke out of Wedge's comlink "This is Commander Skywalker, over. Rogue Squadron, come in. This is Commander Skywalker, over"

"Luke, great to hear you" said Wedge into his comlink "Where have you been? We were all worried about you"

"I'll explain later" replied Luke "Right now, I need your help. I landed on the Imperial side but escaped in one of their shuttles; I'm not far from our outpost, but I've got TIE bombers on my tail that are causing trouble. I need help, over"

"Hang in there, I'm on my way" said Wedge. He turned around and headed back towards the rebel outpost. "Hobbie, come with me to help Luke"

"Right!" said Hobbie as he turned to follow Wedge.

"The rest of you, deal with the remaining TIE bombers until we get back" said Wedge.

Meanwhile

Various rebel soldiers gathered around the rebel outpost and watched off in the distance as Luke's shuttle battled with three TIE bombers. Due to the shuttle's size and only having a basic knowledge of the controls, Luke found it difficult to battle the TIE bombers but was able to dodge most of the attacks and remain airborne.

"That backup better come in quick!" said Ahsoka.

"He'll be here" said Luke "He always comes" Suddenly, a TIE bomber launched a torpedo at the shuttle and hit the engine which destroyed it.

"We're hit!" exclaimed Ahsoka. Thinking frantically, Luke examined the shuttle's controls and came up with a solution.

"There might be a way out of this" said Luke "Bring Vari and the general to the cockpit, I'll try to stay on course with the city" As Ahsoka nodded her head and rushed to the back of the shuttle, the TIE bombers closed in on the shuttle and readied themselves to finish it off. However, Wedge and Hobbie's X-Wings swooped in and blasted all three of them away before any of them could react.

"Get your hands off me, rebel scum!" snarled Veers as Ahsoka dragged him to the cockpit with Vari following them.

"Just sit down and stay down!" said Ahsoka as she forcefully seated him down in one of the seats "What's the plan?"

"Imperial shuttles have a mechanism that ejects the cockpit in case of emergencies" replied Luke "We just need to get close enough to—"

"Never!" snarled Veers. Without warning, he launched himself at Luke and pinned him down at the shuttle's console. "Don't you dare do that!"

"You…You'll die to!" wheezed Luke, still in a state of shock at Veers' attack.

"I will not be a rebel prisoner!" snarled Veers "I would rather die for the Empire than live in disgrace like that!" Preoccupied with pinning Luke down, he did not notice Ahsoka as she grabbed her deactivated electrostaff and used it to bash him at the back of the head. This knocked him out cold and caused him to collapse on the floor.

"Too bad, you don't have a choice in the matter" said Ahsoka as she placed Veers back in his seat and sat herself down at the co-pilot seat again "Right, which is the button" Pulling himself up and breathing heavily, Luke extended his hand over to the eject button and pressed it just before they could reach the city. The cockpit blasted off from the rest of the shuttle (which plummeted down and disappeared into the crystalline abyss) and crash-landed onto the city platforms.

"Hold on!" said Luke as they made contact with the surface. The rebel soldiers hurried aside as the cockpit skidded along the platform before finally stopping at the very edge. "Now…that's what I call a happy landing"

Later

As various rebel transports landed on the platforms of the Mygeetan city; Han and Chewbacca walked over to the transport that brought the first wave of reinforcements from before, with the Wookiee carrying the stormtrooper commander over his shoulder.

"C'mon, you've got to be kidding me!" said the stormtrooper commander "Give me an execution or something…anything!"

"Sorry, pal" smirked Han "That's not how we do things, apparently. You live" He and Chewbacca walked over to a rebel major who stood outside the transport. "We've got a prisoner here. He was the field commander during the battle so…he might know something. Worth keeping him around, at least"

"You won't take me away, rebel!" snarled the stormtrooper commander "You'll never—" Suddenly, two rebel soldiers grabbed him by the arms and dragged him up the boarding ramp and into the transport.

"We just did!" smirked Han. At that moment, two more rebel soldiers appeared who were escorting General Veers. Now wearing real handcuffs, the general looked shamed but still maintained an intimidating and stern appearance. "And here we have the head honcho, the Imperial general. Apparently, he hasn't spoken a thing since he woke up; guess he's the strong silent type" As the rebel soldiers brought Veers up the ramp, he gave one last icy glare at the rebel forces before being taken into the transport.

Meanwhile

Ahsoka sat on top of the remains of the shuttle cockpit, looking up at the sky and processing everything she had just been through. Ever since their crash landing, she had asked Luke for some time to herself so he gave her space and made sure everyone else did as well (considering how many people were shocked and confused by her presence, this was no easy feat). So many questions were going through her head right now: how did she get trapped in that stasis pod? What did the Empire (and this Darth Vader) want with her? Who were the Jedi Luke was talking about? Was anyone she knew still alive?

"Ahsoka?" asked a voice. Ahsoka snapped out of her thoughts and looked down from the cockpit to see Luke standing in front of it. "I know you wanted some time to yourself, but is it okay if we talked for a bit?" Ahsoka smiled at this.

"Sure, come on up" said Ahsoka. Luke climbed up onto the cockpit and sat down next to her.

"Vari's gone back to his village" said Luke "He says he'll have a real story to tell them when he gets back"

"I have a question" said Ahsoka.

"What is it?" asked Luke.

"When you tried to offer General Veers back to the Imperials in exchange for getting us out…why did you do that?" asked Ahsoka "I mean, your Alliance has been fighting this battle for some time and capturing Veers could have helped bring it to an end. Why let him go simply for a chance to get out?"

"Getting us out alive was my top priority" said Luke "I'm no Jedi Master, but that's something a Jedi would do"

"Are you sure about that?" asked Ahsoka.

"It's something Obi-Wan would have done" replied Luke

"More so than winning the battle?" asked Ahsoka.

"Winning a battle is important to me, but I won't sacrifice the lives of my allies to achieve it" replied Luke "Not if I can avoid it" Ahsoka now realized where his priorities lay and it filled her with comfort.

"Sometimes being a good soldier means doing what you think is right" said Ahsoka "For what it's worth, you did great back there. Honestly, I don't think I would have been able to stay calm and keep a level-head in a situation like that. Not like you did"

"Only just" said Luke "Honestly, I wasn't sure if that plan was going to work or not"

"We got out of there alive, so I'd say it did" said Ahsoka. Luke was enjoying the banter he was having with Ahsoka, but he knew there was something he had to ask her sooner rather than later.

"Ahsoka; when we first met back there, I mentioned that I was Anakin Skywalker's son and you seemed amazed by it" said Luke "How did you know my father?" Ahsoka's smiling face turned into a stunned and uneasy one.

"Well; before I left the Jedi Order, he was my master" replied Ahsoka.

"Wait, you were my father's student!" exclaimed Luke "That's how you knew him!"

"Several months after the Battle of Geonosis, the Jedi Council assigned me to him as his first padawan" said Ahsoka "At that point, the war was in full swing and he was both a Jedi Knight and a general. He wasn't very fond of me at first, to say the least; but we became friends. We trained together, fought together, and we went on lots of missions together with Obi-Wan. I learnt so much from him and he became like a big brother to me. The two of us, we were inseparable" She let out a sigh. "Be honest with me; he's gone too, hasn't he?"

"What makes you say that?" asked Luke.

"Well, everything you've said seems about him to hint that you've never met him and you likely never will" replied Ahsoka "Tell me, what happened" Luke felt uneasy talking about this but he knew that Ahsoka had prepared herself to hear it.

"According to Obi-Wan, he was one of the Jedi killed at the end of the Clone Wars" said Luke. Ahsoka tried to keep a straight and calm face, but he could tell that deep-down she was filled with despair hearing this. Whatever had happened between her and the Jedi Order, she took no pride in its fall. "I'm sorry, Ahsoka; I know he meant a lot to you"

"It's alright" said Ahsoka, holding back her dismay "Ever since I found out what happened to the Order, I…accepted that something like that happened" Luke could tell that she was still holding back her emotions, he could feel the pain slip through her words as she said this. However, there was something else he needed to know.

"Obi-Wan never mentioned you when he talked about my father" said Luke "What happened between you and the Jedi Order?"

"I…I'm not ready, if that's okay" said Ahsoka "I'll…tell you another time"

"Hey Luke!" said a voice. Luke peered over the side of the shuttle and saw Han standing right next to it.

"What is it, Han?" asked Luke.

"Our replacements have arrived; we're shipping out now" replied Han.

"What do you mean by that?" asked Luke.

"Oh yeah, you weren't around when we discussed it" said Han "Basically, Admiral Ackbar talked with some nearby fleets and one of them has decided to take out place. I was able to stunt the Imperial attacks by capturing the stormtrooper commander and getting that general should turn the tide a bit more, so now they're here to handle the rest. What do ya' say?"

"I don't know" replied Luke "I kind of feel like I should see this through"

"Don't worry, kid; with all the damage we've caused, the Imperial forces will be in a state of panic" said Han "These guys are simply here to finish them off, a glorified mop-up if you will. Besides, maybe now you can finally go on that mission the Princess got for you"

"Mission?" said Luke "Oh, right; that mission" He slid himself off of the cockpit and landed just in front of Han. "I almost forgot about it"

"A mission, huh?" said Ahsoka as she slid herself off of the cockpit and landed next to Luke. Han stood still, perplexed by Ahsoka's presence.

"So…now will you introduce me to the new girl?" said Han.

"Oh; Han, this Ahsoka Tano" said Luke "She helped me out with capturing General Veers" Han extended his hand out. "Ahsoka, this is Han Solo"

"A pleasure to meet you, Mr. Solo" said Ahsoka as she shook Han's hand.

"Captain Solo" smirked Han "And it's a pleasure to meet you. So, Luke tells me that you're a Jedi of the Old Republic"

"Huh?" said Ahsoka. She quickly looked back to Luke with an uncomfortable look on her face.

"Yep, he was so excited that he told me everything" said Han "It's like got a girl or something"

"Han!" said Luke annoyed.

"It's okay, at least we don't have to come up with some cover story or something" said Ahsoka "And…I'm not exactly a Jedi anymore"

"What happened?" asked Han.

"I'll explain it another time" replied Ahsoka.

"Sure, sure" said Han "Anyway…so, stasis, huh? That's why you look so young, right?"

"Yes, I was trapped in a stasis pod for almost twenty years" replied Ahsoka.

"And that's how you survived the purge?" asked Han.

"Yes" replied Ahsoka.

"Y'know, stasis is extremely rare technology and it's really, really expensive" said Han "How exactly did you end up frozen in it?"

"I…can't remember" replied Ahsoka.

"Can't or won't?" asked Han. Luke shot a defensive look at Han, who shrugged his shoulders in response. "Alright, whatever"

"So, what's your part in the Alliance?" asked Ahsoka.

"Well; I don't mean to brag, but I am the captain of the one and only Millennium Falcon" smirked Han. Ahsoka seemed unfazed by this.

"What's that?" asked Ahsoka.

"Seriously, you've never heard of the Millennium Falcon?" said Han "It's the ship that made the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs" Ahsoka raised an eyebrow at that. "Y'know, maybe I should just show it to you sometime; then you'll see what you were missing out on"

"Not much" whispered Luke. Ahsoka giggled at that.

"I heard that!" snapped Han. At that moment, Chewbacca appeared and began growling. "What is it, Chewie?" Chewbacca growled in response.

"A shuttle for me?" said Luke.

"You're always the special one; aren't you, kid?" said Han.

"Has it got to do with…" said Luke. It was then that he noticed that Ahsoka was staring at Chewbacca in an astonished fashion. "Ahsoka, this is Han's co-pilot—"

"Chewbacca?" said Ahsoka. This caught Chewbacca's attention and he began examining her in a curious fashion. "Is that you?" Without warning, Chewbacca let out a loud growl and rushed over to her, embracing her within a tight "Wookiee" hug. "Chewbacca, it is you!"

"I…see that you two are already acquainted" said Luke.

"Yeah" said Han in a suspicious fashion "Care to explain?"

"One time during the Clone Wars, I was kidnapped by a gang of Trandoshan game hunters who wanted to hunt me down for sport" explained Ahsoka "Chewbacca was captured by them too. When we met each other, we helped each other defeat them and escape the moon we were stranded on"

"Is this true?" asked Han. Chewbacca nodded in response as he lowered Ahsoka, which caused Han to sigh. "Chewie, why didn't you tell me this?" Chewbacca growled in response. "Okay, I never asked, sure; but I guess we can discuss each other's stories later. What about the shuttle?" Chewbacca growled in response.

"Really!" said Luke.

"Jedi!" said Ahsoka.

"Guess it's for you then" said Han "Chewie, take us there" Chewbacca nodded in response and led the other three in the direction he had come from. However, all four of them were unaware of the Prowler 1000 as it hovered a great distance behind them, watching their every move silently and carefully.

Author's note: Alright, the Mygeetan phase of my story is pretty much wrapped up. I didn't intend for it to go this long; but I felt it was important to take my time with, especially since it acts as the introductory part of my Prologue. Now that it's finished, I can move on to the rest of the story.

Martin: Hi there! If you're the same Martin who has reviewed my previous fanfics, then it's good to see you again and I'm glad that you're enjoying my story so far. I really, really enjoyed Fallen Order; but since the ending hints that there might be a sequel, I won't be making any references to it within my series for the time being. Although my headcanon will mostly be based off Legends, I do hope to include some Canon elements like Fallen Order; but I'll let the game's storyline run its course before doing so. I do plan to include Gar Saxon later on in my series.
