"Conquered another mission today, haven't been this busy or tired in a while. I still wonder if one day Fatcat will completely surrender his plans for world power; however, until that time comes, me, Dale and the other Rangers' will be ready to spring into action to stop him. On an unrelated note, tomorrow is Dale's 17th birthday tomorrow and I've got a few things planned that he should enjoy. I just hop-." - Chip wrote in his journal before feeling a tap on his right shoulder. He turned to see it was Dale who appeared with a grimacing look and holding his right arm over his abdominal area.

"What's wrong Dale?" - Chip asked with a slight degree of concern as he turned to view Dale.

"I don't feel very good, my stomach has been bothering me all morning." - Dale replied in a groan.

"Have you eaten anything today?" - Chip asked as he pondered at what the issue could be.

Dale shook his head, while still expressing a look of pain.

"Well there's your problem Dale. Come on, let me make you something." - Chip said as he stood up and grabbed Dale's hand leading him downstairs to the kitchen.

"Now you just sit there and I'll get something going in just a second." - Chip said as he grabbed a frying pan from the lower cupboard.

Dale then turned pale and then green and got up and dashed to the washroom where he proceeded to vomit.

Chip looked up to see Dale was gone and had rushed over to the washroom where he knelt down next to Dale and put his hand on Dale's shoulder in comfort.

"It's alright Dale, I've gotcha." - Chip said softly.

Gadget then stood in the doorway of the bathroom after hearing all the commotion.

"Is everything alright Chip?" - Gadget asked with a degree of concern.

"No, Dale seems to be sick with something. Are you able to contact the doctor?"- Chip asked Gadget.

"Golly, I may have something that should work to help Dale." - Gadget said as she hurried off to her workshop.

"Should!?" - Dale said faintly in a concerned tone.

A few minutes later, Gadget came back with a home remedy medicine she had for nausea and vomiting.

"Here you go Dale, this should work." - Gadget said as she passed the pink looking liquid to Chip.

"Here Dale, open wide." - Chip said as he poured a spoon full of the liquid.

Dale gulped in concern before taking the mysterious liquid. A few minutes went by and everything seemed to be fine before Dale vomited the liquid up.

"Gee, I thought that stuff would've worked." - Gadget said.

"Are you able to go get the doctor now, Gadget?" - Chip asked Gadget again.

"Oh sure Chip, I'll be back in a few minutes." - Gadget said as she then ran out and got into the Ranger plane.

Chip then refocused his attention to Dale who appeared weak and pale.

"How about we move you to the couch." - Chip said with a sign of reassurance.

Dale weakly nodded and followed Chip to the couch where he laid down.

"Dale, what did you eat to make yourself this sick? - Chip asked as he sat next to Dale.

Dale pondered at the question and attempted to think back to what he had eaten the night before.

"Um, I had some of my candy, and some of the leftovers that Monterey Jack put in the fridge." - Dale answered.

"Leftovers?" - Chip said in confusion.

"Yeah, you know, that soup stuff in the fridge." - Dale said.

Chip then got up and went to investigate what Dale was talking about. Sure enough, in the fridge was a bowll of 5 day old cheese soup that had become expired. Chip then pitched the soup in the garbage and returned to Dale.

"Dale, that soup you ate was expired." - Chip said.

"Oh gosh, do you think I have food poisoning." - Dale said in an anxious voice.

Just then before Chip could say anything, Dr. Moleson knocked and entered with Gadget following closely behind. He walked over to the couch and set his bag down.

"Well Dale, I thought I'd seen the last of you after your lung transplant. What seems to be the problem?" - Dr. Moleson said.

"I think I may have food poisoning." - Dale said weakly

"Did you eat anything expired?" - Dr. Moleson asked

Dale nodded his head.

"Well, that may be the issue. So let me just cross reference your symptoms. Are you experiencing loss of appetite, vomiting, weakness?" - Dr. Moleson asked as he pulled out a vaccine from his bag.

Dale nodded weakly.

"Alright then, I have a vaccine here that should make you better within hours." - Dr. Moleson said confidently.

At the sight of the needle, Dale became nervous pushing himself deeper and deeper into the sofa cushions.

"Is something the matter, you look pale?" - Dr. Moleson said as he prepped the needle.

Chip then glimpsed at Dale and then remembered Dale's fear of needles.

"Dale has a fear of needles, doctor." - Chip said as he sat down next to Dale.

"Oh I see, well this is the only way I can help him." - Dr. Moleson said sympathetically.

"It's alright Dale, here, take my hand and hold tight and try not to think of the needle." - Chip said in a voice of reassurance to Dale.

Dale then took Chips hand and squeezed tightly causing Chip to wince a little at the tight grip Dale held.

Dr. Moleson then inserted the needle and injected the medicine and retracted the needle causing Dale you yelp.

"YOUCH!" - Dale yelled.

"All finished. You should feel better in no time." - Dr. Moleson said as he packed up his equipment.

"See Dale, nothing to worry about." - Chip said as he released his hand.

"Thank you doctor." - Dale said as his anxiety began to ease.

"Also, I thought I'd let you know this medicine I gave you will make you dizzy and slightly drowsy. So I don't suggest you plan on going anywhere far." - Dr., Moleson said sternly as he got up and walked over to the door..

"Thank you again doctor." - Gadget and Chip said as Dr. Moleson left.

"You think you're up to eat something now, Dale?" - Chip asked,

"No, I think I'd like to go rest." - Dale said as he got up.

As Dale stood up and started to walk for the stairs, he began to feel dizzy and stumbled, gripping the edge of the couch.

"Here Dale, let me help you." - Chip said as he put his arm around Dale's waist and helped him upstairs to their bedroom.

"Here Dale, you can sleep in the bottom bunk with me tonight. I think it is safer than trying to get you up to the top bunk while feeling dizzy." - Chip said as he laid Dale down into the lower bunk bed.

"I'll be in an hour or so." - Chip said as he turned and started to walk over to the door.

"Chip." - Dale faintly called out to Chip.

"Yes Dale?" - Chip said as he turned around.

"Thank you." - Dale said with a weak smile.

"You don't need to thank me Dale. I'd know you'd do the same for me." - Chip said with a smirk as he exited the room and headed downstairs.

"How is he?" - Gadget asked.

"He's doing better, I laid him down in my bed for him to get some rest." - Chip said as he took his hat off and sat down.

Chip then let out a great sigh of relief.

"What a day it's been." - Chip said letting out a slight chuckle.

"No kidding, I don't think our easy days are near us anytime soon." - Gadget concurred with a sigh.

"Well tomorrow should be fun at least with it being Dale's birthday." - Gadget said.

"Right you are Gadget love, say how old is me pally Dale turning anyway?" - Monterey asked Chip.

"I'll leave that as a surprise for tomorrow. Believe me, it's worth the wait." - Chip said with a smile.

"Anyways, It's getting late. I think I'm going to go to bed." - Chip said while yawning.

"Alright Chip, goodnight." - Gadget said.

Chip then left upstairs to his and Dale's room. Leaving Gadget and Monterey at the table.

"You're still fine with looking to see what you can find about their parents, Monty?" - Gadget asked.

"Too right Gadget love, I'll find out what they're hiding from us. Besides, how bad can it be that they won't share it with us, their friends." - Monterey said.

"Exactly Monty, I mean how bad can it really be." - Gadget agreed.

Back in Chip and Dale's room, Chip was getting dressed in his nightgown and getting ready to lay down. He then walked over to his bed where Dale was sleeping and he laid down next to him.

Chip lying next to Dale put his hand on Dale's forehead to check to see if he had a fever still from earlier.

"What are you doing, Chip?" - Dale mumbled.

"Don't worry Dale, I'm just checking to see if you still have a fever from earlier. You seem to be good." - Chip said as layed back down.

"Goodnight Dale." - Chip said as he yawned.

"Goodnight Chip." - Dale mumbled as he drifted back asleep.
