Hello Gumball fans. I have returned with a brand new story. First of all, I hope everyone is safe from the Coronavirus. It's been about two months since the entire world was under quarantine. Some businesses are reopening with how many people are allowed inside. Everything is taking one step at a time. I've been doing well. I'm still working at my job and I've been working one chapter for some of my stories. The new chapter for Einherjar Pegan hasn't come out. Jawen96 is still working on it but he decides to publish a brand new story. It's called The Archaeologist. He had worked chapter one and two a few days ago and sent me the draft. I had edited chapter one today. So sit back and read the new story. All credit goes to Jawen96.

Chapter One: A New Life

On a country road in French, there is a deadly silence among the birds and other animals that populate the countryside. The farmers who work non-stop on the fields to plow the land and hope for a good harvest before the next winters. A red car appears in the middle of the countryside, with two blue cats on board. One wearing a white t-shirt, khaki pants, white socks, blue shoes and a dark blue sweater attached to the size. He is known as Gumball and the other is his aunt Penelope. Penelope wears a green t-shirt and a long beige skirt and wears ballerinas shoes. They were making their way to Penelope's house. The car ride was silent. Neither the boy or the woman driving haven't said a word. The little blue cat glanced at the window to the afternoon daddy with a soft and annoyed expression. He can't return home. Gumball would not want to think back to the little science fair accident at his old school. Everyone had denied him, including his own family. His life is ruined. Gumball decides to leave his town with the help of his grandparents who were the only ones who had his back. They helped him leave America for the French Bretagnes. Nicole's estranged parents, Daniel and Mary Senicourt, purchased a plane ticket for Paris and gave it to their only grandson. Once Gumball entered Paris, he would meet and take the train to Vannes where his aunt was waiting. There, he can start a new life.

"All right Gumball, we're almost there. I need to fill the car up." said Penelope. Gumball heard her but didn't look from the glass. The car stopped into a gas station.

"Mind if I buy something at the store?" Gumball asked.

His aunt nodded, "Okay, but don't stay long."

Meanwhile, near a small river next to the gas station, a young female rabbit sat at the wooden bridge that was five feet long. She seems half human, or rather a transformed human. She was barefoot, wore a pink summer dress printed with flowers on it and stopped at her mid-knees. On top of her head that consist of her brown and pink hair was a pink summer hat. Her barefoot sat in the later, taking in the relaxation with no problems. Her moment was interrupted by her phone which was next to her. The female rabbit saw a message from her boyfriend. Upon reading it, she frowned.

Her boyfriend said they were through.

Huffing in pure shock, she slams the phone on the ground with a yell. And she started crying. She removed her soaking feet from the water and hugged them close to her chest.

"Is it great?" She said to herself. "Being rejected again," The girl's name is Vel. No time to do anything after getting dumped via text message, her time in the river was over. Vel gets up to leave the area. By the time she was out, she made her way to the gas station. On cue, Gumball came out of the store with a bag of chips and a can of soda. The soda he got was from a fridge and it was still cold and wet. It slipped out of his hand, making him curse.

"Crap," The soda can roll and stop at a pair of bare feet. Vel picks up the can to hand it to the owner. Upon seeing the little blue cat, the rabbit's cheeks grew timid red. Gumball apologized, not seeing the girl's face, "Sorry. Soda was too cold."

Vel snapped her daze and spoke back calmly, "It's fine. Here you go," It was then Gumball took notice of her lack of shoes as his aunt calling his nephew.

"Time to go, Gumball!"

"You can keep it. I'm sorry but I have to go," Gumball walked away from the strange girl to get back in the car. Vel kept looking at the direction the blue cat went with her mouth open and her cheeks returning red.

"Did he really give me his soda?" She said to herself. This can cause her hand to feel numb after a full minute. Suddenly, a taxi caught her attention. She ran to the vehicle to stop. Entering inside, she asked the driver "Can you follow that car please?"

"This is where you live?" Gumball looked at the tall three story mansion. Both him and Penelope got out of the car.

"Yes honey, and soon I'll bring you to the magical forest," said Penelope as she took out the house keys. Gumball was surprised by what she said.

"Really? A magical forest?" Penelope inserted the key in the keyhole to unlock the door as she replied to his confusion.

"Yes, by the way, who's the girl you talking to?" Penelope mentions the girl back at the gas station. To which Gumball shrugs his shoulders.

"I don't know, I just give her my can. Though she was homeless cause she didn't have any shoes," His response caused his aunt to raise an eyebrow at him. Before she can object, a click enters her mind that causes her to grab Gumball and both duck down from a swarm of shurikens. Looking back up in slight alarm, Gumball is met by a bobcat woman wearing a purple ninja outfit minus the lack of shoes.

Gumball did not have time to answer that Penelope puts him on the ground, avoiding shuriken in time, thrown by a ninja woman, whose appearance was a bobcat woman, her outfit was one of ninja is purple in color, similar to pajamas she was barefoot and face to the two. But what was odd is she looked completely human, also she didn't have a tail.

Penelope got up and whacked the woman at the back of her head. "Sora, what did I say not to do that again!" She scolded at the careless ninja who almost killed her and Gumball.

"Sorry," Sora rubbed her injury head from the smack. "But come on! Is that a way to treat a friend like that?!"

"Is that a way to welcome us by attacking us with shuriken?!" Penelope shouted back. Sora then glanced at the blue cat and waved at him with a sorry grin, "My bad, little guy. Names Sora, I'm a master of Ninjutsu," The bobcat woman walked up to the kid and shook hands.

"How is it going?" Penelope asked, still a little mad at her friend.

Sora shrugged, "Just wanted some news from you."

"Want a cup of tea?"

"Yes. But first, it's hot in this suit," Gumball's eyes widened as her aunt's friend started removing her outfit to reveal her bra and panties.

Outrage, Penelope covers her nephew's eyes and screams,"Not in my house and not in front of Gumball! Do it upstairs!"

Vel has been dropped off where the taxi last saw the car. There, she went inside the forest and stumbled upon a small swamp. Vel eventually found where her mysterious blue cat was living. It was by luck she found this place without any problems. "So this is where he lives?" She said, with longing thoughts enter her mind. She was hoping to see him again but fear stopped her. "What if he's like all the others?" She said sadly before shaking those thoughts away and replacing it with determination. "No way! I have to try! He could be the one!" Making her mad, she moves forward to meet her beloved once more. But something in the swamp caught her legs. Vel panic to free herself. Her legs disappear in the murky water, followed by her body. Her arms soon caught in instead of grabbing something to push her out. Vel screamed for her last breath as she was gone, leaving behind her pink hat.

"Starting tomorrow I want you as my apprentice in my dojo," Sora said to Gumball. Hours went by inside the mansion. Penelope told Sora about Gumball's problems at his old town and came here to start a new life. Sora looks at the little blue cat and offers Gumball as her apprentice in her dojo. Sora stands on top of the tree after jumping. It was time for Sora to leave.

"Trust me, you're gonna have some fun," With a grin, Sora left by jumping more trees till she was gone.

"Your friend is really kind and super cool, Aunt Penelope. I'm going to be a ninja," Gumball smile, his new life is starting with him being a ninja.

"We'll discuss it later. For now, we have to find you a new school. Lucky for you, I know one you'll fit in," Penelope said.

Gumball didn't respond back when a football knocked him. Rubbing his head and looking at the person responsible, a little lion who was also human came in front of the blue cat. He wears blue pants, t-shirt and like Sora and the girl at the gas station, he wears no shoes. His age is the same as Gumball.

"Sorry. Miss my pass," The lion spoke at Gumball.

Penelope helps his nephew to get up, "Cole, can you watch yourself?" She asked the lion.

"It's okay auntie," Gumball turned to Cole "I'm Gumball."

"Nice to meet you. The name's Cole, want to play with us?" asks Cole to his new friend. It pleases Gumball now that his former friend and brother Darwin turns his back on him, he can have new friends, maybe more. He accepts "auntie, can i play?"

She smiled "Of course, but be back for dinner, "She said as the two leave.

Gumball begins to build a bond with his new friend who will later be his brother. While they were playing, the ball fell into the swamps.

Cole utter in disgust and whining, "Ah, fuck, not in the swamps! My big sis is gonna kill me!"

"I'll get it back," Gumball ran into the swamp. It took awhile to retrieve the ball from the water. It didn't sink inside. Before returning, he stops at a floating pink hat. Gumball takes it out. The hat was ruined as the fabric soak in the muck. Inspecting it, Gumball recognizes this hat as that rabbit girl he encountered back at the gas station.

"It's her hat, but what's it doing here?" He whispered, before concern entered him. When something happened to her? Was she here? Aunt Penlope said she was taking Gumball to a magic forest, but she never mentioned a magic swamp. Could there be monsters in this area?

He ran off with the pink hat and the ball. "Did she just get eaten?" Gumball shook his head in denial, thinking she just lost her hat. Later that night, Gumball said goodbye to his new friend, saying that they will meet again. At his new bedroom, Gumball still has the pink hat he found at the swamp. The hat was washed by the sink but the stain remains. Gumball wished he were out there to find the girl but it was getting late. Even though they just meet, Gumball thinks she's a friendly gal. He hopes she is safe and sees her again. But will he see her again?

Meanwhile, in the marshes, Vel woke up. She appears soaked by the stagnant water of the marshes. Looking at her messy dress, she complains "oh great, my beautiful pink summer dress is ruined," She sighed. "Guess big sis won't be happy when she sees me back home."

She hears a laugh coming from elsewhere, then a young barefooted vixen girl with big breast and buttock appear before her. She wears blue pants, a mini shirt that exposes her belly, and brown brown hair with quilts. Like Vel, the vixen was almost human in appearance and had no tail. Vel notices who she is, and glares at the laughing vixen.

"Bath times in the swamp Vel? I'm not surprised to see Joanne's reaction when she sees you all that muck," The humanoid fox chuckles mockingly.

"Get lost Sasha, I was just spying on a boy who I already fell in love with," Answered an angry Vel.

"Unlike your previous moronic boyfriend, this one will, like always, be a failure," Sasha attempts to break down Vel's hope. "Don't just waste your time with that '' She walked away leaving her friend "And remember, you will be alone for the rest of your life," She laughed again. Vel glared at her form one last time before replying to what she had said.

"Don't be sure, Sasha, I'm sure i can make it up with me, you shall see."

"Ok, see you tomorrow and let's see about the boy," Sasha let Vel walk away with the vixen behind her to see the so-called little boy Vel saw.

As Vel and Vixen went home, both were spotted by Vel's big sister. A derren deer / fennec hybrid with barely human appearances, barefoot, big breast and buttocks, wearing brown pants and a blue tank top. Spotting Vel, she frowned when she saw her younger sister.

"Vel, what happened to you and why are soaked?" she asks, upset.

Vel smiled nervously as she pointed at her vixen friend, "Sasha pulled me a prank in the swamps, Joanne, and I lost my hat."

Joanne sighed at Sasha's foolishness, "Go take a shower, we will discuss this later" she let her sis come in.

Later with Gumball was having dinner with his aunt as Gumball talked about his day so far and being friends with Cole. "Cole and I have a lot of fun, and he invited me to his house to play video games. Do you know he is also a ninja like Sora. He said he can teach me some lessons before and after I go to the dojo."

"I'm glad to hear that, Gumball. See? Told you can rebuild your life here," His aunt smiled, making Gumball grin back and thank her. "By the way, I saw you coming back with a pink hat. Where did you get it?"

Gumball answered, "I found it in the swamp. I think it belongs to that girl I meet in the gas station.

"Aww, sounds like you got an admirer," Penelope teases him. "Do you think she's around here in Le Tour du Parc?"

Gumball rolled his eyes at his aunt's teasing, "I don't know where she lives.

"We shall see that later, but for now, be ready for tomorrow, "She gets up and takes the dishes.''Sora will warn you a lot. If you feel too tired to do this, just let me know."

"Ok."

Suddenly the kitchen window was broken by a shuriken. Both of them jumped when the weapon landed on the table. Around it was a small paper. Penelope took it and read the paper.

I wouldn't stoop to doing something as grotesque as making them military, it's not and I'm not. Why don't you let me entertain them for fun? See ya.

Penelope, upon recognizing the handwriting belonging to her friend, nearly pops a vein from her forehead. She took out the shuriken from the surface before looking at the window and saw Sora. Sora, seeing how angry her friend is, flees. Penelope threw the shuriken and it struck her in the butt.

"Ahhh! Nice one, Penelope!" Sora called out, having fallen on the ground.

"Serve you right, Sora". She humped in satiation.

Later with Vel who had eaten dinner, was in her room. She was in her red underwear with flower print on it. The dress she wore was taken to the washing machine before she took a shower. Her thoughts are still of the boy she came across back at the gas station.

"Oh my lovely boy, where I can find you so we can happily love each other? " She said with hope and a low voice so no one can't hear her from outside. But it didn't fool Joanne when she started coughing.

"Are you okay sis?" said Joanne with concern.

The little princess replied "Yes, I'm okay, just thinkin about the boy."

"The one who gave you his soda can?" Vel nodded. "Don't get me wrong, but don't you think it's gonna end up the same way as the other boys you meet?"

She shakes her head, acting defensive, "Bullshit, I'm sure I can win with him."

Joanne smiles "Okay," she leaned over to kiss her younger sister "Time to go to sleep, my little summer princess", Joanne starts to undress until she is in her underwear and enters the covers.

Vel smiles in her sleep, tomorrow she's going to meet him. But she coughs again violently before it calms down.
