Teehee, I haven't updated in so long. I have summer assignments and have been catching up on all the anime I didn't finish…

Oops.

Draco didn't seem to be freaking out- he didn't know exactly of the plans the Golden Trio would have but he did know that they would fix it-somehow.

They set off to the castle, none saying much with what they had just heard and Weasley instantly forgetting about his rat.

Although that ended soon since Weasley instantly remembered about Scabbers, turning to Draco with a glare. "Give me back Scabbers, Malfoy!" Draco had not agreed and Weasley grew angry- he wanted Scabbers back and he would do anything to have him back and with that-

He tackled Draco.

They were rolling around, the jar with Scabbers easily rolling away as the rat himself started to run as if it was a hamster inside a ball.

Draco's anger was going off the roof, not taking notice of how Crookshanks showed up and started to chase Scabbers in the jar.

"I'm-just-just trying to-help- you-" Draco coughed out, Pushing Weasley's face out of the way. He rubbed dirt all over the boy and Potter just looked on helplessly.

"Slytherins are a bunch of no good gits!" Weasley growled out, rubbing the dirt off of his face. Potter finally decided to pull Weasley off and Draco thanked him.

"You must have a reason? Right?" Potter questioned and Draco nodded, wiping off the blood he barely noticed coming out of his lip.

"We need to get back under the cloak before Dumbledore and the Minister come back," Hermione called out and Draco immediately agreed-

Until there was a noise heard. Soft pounding of gigantic paws...Something was coming towards them and when they all turned- there was an enormous, pale-eyed, jet-black dog.

Draco saw Potter reach out for his wand and he tried to stop the boy- but now, the dog had other plans as he leapt and hit Potter on the chest.

Draco wanted to help Potter, really, but he thought none of it as he noticed Scabbers trying to once again roll away in the jar- with a growl he skidded and reached out, gripping a hold of the jar.

"Got you-" But Draco was soon cut off when he felt pain on his right leg. He gasped and held onto the jar as he was dragged away by the dog.

"You-bloody- hades you're annoying!" Draco growled out.

"Draco!"

"Malfoy!"

He heard voices but he didn't think any of it as he was sent through a large gap under the roots.

When the dog finally let Draco go, Draco shifted back into a corner, holding Scabbers as the rat also freaked out. He was in a room he did not recognize

"Stop moving around you stupid rat, gods I cannot believe you were considered a right-hand man to Mr. Nose less," Draco sneered which automatically made the rat pause at its movement. The same went for the dog.

"What? Never saw a Slytherin talk to a rat before? Gods now I'm talking to a dog," Although he knew that the dog was Sirius Black, he still felt weird since they could not talk back.

Draco decided to not take note of the room he was in, focusing on his leg that was bitten- the blood was oozing out and dark stains were covering his pants. "I barely washed these," He groaned out, shaking off the pain as he did with any other wound.

The dog merely growled at Draco, going to snatch the wand away- also trying to get Scabbers although Draco hissed at him. Yes, he hissed- what else could he do? Expose himself?

With time, the dog disappeared and waited for the others to arrive as Draco did the same.

"Lovely Day we're having..."

It was a while until the door was kicked wide open, Draco making eye contact with Potter. "Careful," he spoke out, pointing his gaze to a corner.

Hermione ignored that and dashed towards him, "Draco-are you okay?" She went to check at his wounds but Weasley beat her with another question.

"Where's the dog?"

"Well-the dog-not dog is," he pointed once again with his head.

"He's an Animagus," Hermione spoke for him.

Potter hesitantly went to turn himself over- although jumped when the man he recognized came out of the shadows while closing the door.

Here he was.

Sirius Black.

His hair was matted, filthy and long-reaching to his elbows. The man looked like a corpse although it was understandable, he was- spending years in Azkaban. He was grinning at Potter; yellow teeth being shown.

He needs a toothbrush.

"Expelliarmus!" he called out, using Draco's wand.

The Golden Trio's wand was taken from them and Black had caught them. When he walked closer, he could only focus on Potter.

Black had taunted Potter, not helping him in his situation at all. "Gods! You're making this worse for you!" Draco couldn't help to clap back, staring maliciously.

This broke Potter out of his trance, Potter going to lunge at Black, but Draco stood up, holding the boy back while handing Scabbers in a jar to Hermione. He was not to let him go, "Stop, Potter..." He whispered, trying to make the boy calm down. But he could not.

"If you want to kill Harry, you'll have to kill us too!" Ron said fiercely, standing next to Potter and throwing glances to make sure he's in place.

But black simply ignored the boy, flickering his eyes to Draco, "Lie down," he murmured. "You will damage that leg even more."

"I'm fine, it's just a bite- been through worse," Draco grunted out, still trying to keep ahold of Potter who still wanted to lunge at Black.

"Did you not hear me? You have to kill all four of us!" He had included Draco.

"There'll be only one murder here tonight," said Black, his grin being more apparent.

"Bloody- he's not here for Potter!" This made the others pause at their movement, "He's not here for Potter- not for any of us!"

"No! He-He killed all those Muggles to get at Pettigrew...How could he not be here for me? For us? He works with the-" Potter paused, his eyes glinting with tears, "With-THE MAN KILLED MY MUM AND DAD!"

"Potter, stop!" Draco tried to but when the boy had hit his injured leg, he loosened his grip- although the moment he tried to go Draco had trapped him with the Shadows. But nobody seemed to think it was him, Potter yelling at Black to let him go.

Weasley, seeing this took the chance to try and get their wands back- although when he did, he was shot back into Draco's body- making the boy lose his contact with Potter.

Gods this was a mess. Draco couldn't help but to think.

Potter landed a punch at Black, then a kick- throwing the man off balance, letting go of the wand. Hermione reached out to grab her own, shuffling back to Draco as she kept ahold of the jar. That was the key to everything- the Animagus in the jar.

Black was sprawled at the bottom of the wall. The man was weak as he watched Potter point his own wand straight at Black's heart.

"Going to kill me, Harry?" Black whispered.

"You killed my parents," Potter said, his voice was shaking.

"I don't deny it," Black murmured ever so quietly, "But if you knew the whole story-"

"The whole story? What else could there even be? You sold them to Voldemort. You did. Not anyone else but YOU. You're the traitor." Potter's eyes were brimming with tears.

"Let the man explain, Potter- you do not know the secrets that had happened in that transaction- You don't know the real rat in this story," Draco called out, pushing Weasley off of him and grabbing ahold of the jar with Scabbers.

Potter did not want to hear anything; he was too blinded by the hate for the man in front of him- hate for his own godfather.

But before he could utter anything, Crookshanks took his place onto Black- onto his heart. He seemed to be protecting the man. But Potter thought none of it if he had to kill the cat he would.

"Potter you're making a mistake- think rationally..." Draco limped towards the boy. "Everything may seem right but you're wrong. Only the Gods know the truth."

Suddenly, there were footsteps- Hermione frantically calling out.

Professor Lupin has now entered the battle. Draco thought.

"Expelliarmus!" Lupin shouted- successfully taking Potter's wand. Harry looked lost for words- why would his favorite Professor do this.

"Where is he, Sirius?"

Before he could answer, Draco called out, "Are you looking for him?" He questioned, showing the rat in the jar who seemed to be praying for forgiveness, begging for Draco to not hand him over.

"We're not sacrificing Scabbers!" Weasley had growled out, reaching for the jar only to get stung.

"Scabbers isn't really worth to you Weasel!" Draco glared, pulling the jar closer to him.

"Now is not the time to fight!"

Professor Lupin was shocked when hearing this revelation, looking at Black for confirmation, "...why hasn't he shown himself before now? Unless-" He looked back at the rat with wide eyes "-unless he was the one...unless you switched...without telling me?"

Black could only nod and before Potter could ask his question, Professor Lupin lowered his wand and went towards the man who looked dead, seizing his hand, pulling him to his feet and hugging him.

"Wow, would you look at that- you brought two best friends back together, you rat," Draco grinned, staring at Scabbers who shook with fear.

"What the-" Hermione gasped out, still not connecting that Black was innocent.

She pointed at Professor Lupin, "I didn't tell anyone!" She cried out, " I've been covering for you-"

"Hermione, listen to me, please" Lupin shouted, " I can explain-"

Potter was also seen to be shaking, with fury flowing all around him, "I trusted you!" He shouted, his voice wavering "and all the time you've been his friend!"

"For god's sake- everyone shut the ha-hell up!" Draco yelled, his momentum causing a blast that made all of them tumble.

"I was just going to let this all play out but when you're at each other's throats while I'm BLEEDING is not helping," He paused to catch a breath, "Like have you not seen I'm hurt? Can we just get this over with and expose this rat-" He waved the jar around, "-for what he is? A bloody traitor?"

Professor Lupin took in his words, "How-How do you know about that?" He looked with pure confusion, "We-there isn't anything in the papers..."

"Do you think I'm bloody stupid? I'm not like Weasel over here- no offense, Weasley," The person in question only glared at him.

"But- how could- you're lying! Maybe you're working with the lots of them! After all, you've bonded with Professor Lupin," Potter shot out, his voice wavering badly.

"You've bonded with him too! Does that mean you're a part of this, Potter?" Potter shot out, glaring at the two men in front of him, "He's been letting that murderer inside the castle all along- they were both probably planning to kill me."

"You're wrong," said Professor Lupin. "I haven't been Sirius's friend, but I am now- Let me explain..."

"NO!" Hermione screamed. "Harry, don't trust him, he wants you dead- he's-he's a-"

"Hermione shut your mouth before you say something you'll regret," Draco had warned her, making her eyes widen, "You knew?!"

"Of course, I knew! Just like how you know that this rat isn't what everyone believes him to be!"

Hermione paused at that.

"Just let them explain- it'll all be understood soon before someone else comes in search for us," Draco explained.

"What is he?" Potter had demanded, looking at Hermione and Draco although Draco gave the girl a pointed look, "What is he?" he repeated.

"How long have you known?" He directed that towards Hermione.

"Ages," She whispered. "Since I did an essay Professor Snape gave us..."The other two do not know what it was.

"He'll be delighted," Professor Lupin nodded. "He assigned that essay hoping someone would realize what my symptoms mean...Did you check the lunar chart and realize that I was always ill at the full moon? Or did you realize that Boggart changed into the moon when it saw me?"

With this, Weasley had gasped- although he was the underrated child of the Weasley family, he was still smart, "You're...You're a werewolf."

Potter had tensed at this.

"The both of you are clever." Professor Lupin forced a laugh.

"What about Draco?" Hermione questioned, "How long have you known?" She directed the question to him.

"Longer than you that's for sure."

"I should have...I should have told Professor Dumbledore," Hermione murmured although Professor Lupin shook his head.

"Dumbledore knows...it took a long time for him to convince certain teachers that I'm trustworthy-"

"And he was wrong!" Potter yelled. "You've been helping him all the time!" He pointed at Black who had Crookshanks in his arms- Crookshanks was purring.

"He has not, Potter." Draco groaned out, "Think- Think instead of death and see the truth. Clear your mind." Potter looked hesitant but with a hold on his arm from Draco made him breathe deeply.

With this, Professor Lupin had separated each of their wands, throwing it to the rightful owner. They all tensed at this.

"There," Professor Lupin had stated, sticking his own wand back into his belt. "You're armed, we're not. Now, will you listen?"

Potter paused for a moment, looking back at Draco for confirmation- Draco simply nodded.

"If you haven't been helping him," he said, throwing a hateful glance at Black, "how did you know he was here?"

"The map-The Marauder's Map. I was in my office examining it-"

"how-How do you know how to work it?" Harry questioned.

"Of course- I helped write it. I'm Moony- that was my friends' nickname for me at school." Professor Lupin sighed.

Now, Draco started to feel lightheaded- the blood he was losing was too much as he grunted, stepping back to relax on the floor. He rolled his pants up, ripping a piece off and tying it above his wound. He ignored the worried glance Hermione threw at him.

He wasn't going to heal himself just yet- he didn't know why- although deep down he knew it was to prove himself- prove himself worthy of this second chance.

They all continued to speak to one another, Draco sometimes inputting what is needed- sometimes sarcastic remarks or retorts that made Weasley sometimes snort at them although Hermione glared at the both of them.

"...I saw him collide with you; I watched as he pulled two of you into the Whomping Willow-"

"It was only Malfoy," Weasley had input.

"No, Ron," said Lupin. "Two of you."

"Yes, two of us-" Draco agreed, shaking the jar with the rat, making said rat squeak in annoyance, "Oh sorry am I bothering you? I'm so sorry- No, I'm not going to keep suffering," Draco grinned, shaking the jar once again which made Weasley glare at him.

"Do you think I could have a look at the rat?" Professor Lupin questioned although this time Draco shook his head.

"Not possible, sorry- if I open it this rat WILL take his chance to escape again and I don't really chase him around with a wounded leg," Draco frowned.

"But if you want- I could tell you!" Draco had pointed at one of the paws of the rat. "You see that? It's missing something very important- something someone else has missing," Draco grinned at the confused faces his classmates gave him.

"That's not a rat," croaked Sirius Black.

"Yes-yes he is! He's a rat-"

"No, he's not," inputted Hermione, looking at Draco with a nod. "That's an Animagus."

"Peter Pettigrew."
