Reminder! Let me know which characters you guys want in Sephiron's Peerage. Remember he only has one Rook and one Bishop remaining. They are not mutated pieces, so please don't send me OP characters. They can be male or female, just remember to REVIEW and let me know in the "review section". Btw, next chapter I will make a poll of the most voted characters and from there you guys will have 5 options to choose from for those remaining characters. They can be from any anime, book or movie. Also, you guys can let me know what characters you want to see in the future, and I will most likely add them to the story (if it makes sense). I hope you guys enjoy the chapter!
A blue transportation-circle opened in the air above Mount Zonia, a magical mountain in the north-west of Morocco, and Sephiron Sitri emerged from it, dispelling his Devil wings as he did so. The Heir to the Sitri Clan flipped over and landed on the uneven ground, before immediately starting to walk up the mountain, looking around with narrowed eyes, as it was currently snowing.
Ignoring the snow that fell around on his body, and clothes, Sephiron continued to walk, his eyes darting around, anxious to identify anything in his immediate vicinity that could be a threat to him.
A minute of simultaneous walking and looking around yielded nothing, but while Sephiron reached a wide, snow-covered plateau, he heard a loud roar coming at him, from behind. With the roar rapidly growing in volume.
Before Sephiron could turn around to even see what was roaring at him, he felt something - something large crashing into him from behind with such force that it sent him sprawling onto the ground, rolling over and over for a few seconds before he came to a stop.
Spitting snow out of his mouth, Sephiron got to his feet, brushing himself off, as he looked up, his blue eyes focused on the thing that had ambushed him.
It was a wolf - a gigantic, monstrous-looking wolf. Sephiron estimated that it was fifteen meters long, from nose to tail, and nearly seven meters tall in height, at least three times as tall as Sephiron himself. With fur as black as Sephiron's hair, teeth as long as his forearms, and paws twice the size of his head, it all added up to create an image that would make your average person shit their pants.
So, it was a good thing that Sephiron wasn't your average person. Hell, depending on what mood he was in, you might catch him saying that he wasn't a person at all.
The Sitri sighed, cracked his neck, and stepped forward towards the wolf in front of him, whose horrible-smelling breath could be seen rising up in great clouds with every exhalation he made.
"This shouldn't take long." Sephiron mused to himself, doing a couple of arm-stretches. The wolf in question glared down at the young Devil in fury.
"YOU THINK YOU CAN TAKE ME ON, ALL BY YOURSELF?!" It growled, before letting out a sound that Sephiron could've sworn was a laugh. "YOU IMBECILE. YOU'RE JUST LIKE ALL THE REST OF YOUR RACE!"
Sephiron ignored the wolf, and continued walking towards him, beginning to gather light-blue demonic energy all around his body. A frown came over his face as he began wondering just how to take the wolf on.
'This pup's pretty strong.' He thought. 'Still shouldn't be too much for me to beat. After all, I'm sure he doesn't want me dying during a warm-up, now does he?'
"THERE IS NOT A SINGLE ONE ALIVE OF YOUR RACE THAT WOULD BE STRONG ENOUGH TO DEFEAT ME!" The wolf roared at Sephiron, getting into a battle-stance as Sephiron continued walking forward, until there was about twenty feet of snowy space between the pair of them. "I AM AMORAK, THE DEMON WOLF, AND I WILL FEAST ON YOUR FLESH, AND GNAW ON YOUR BONES!"
Sephiron said nothing in reply, simply taking another step as he started focusing his demonic energy into his hands. He then began to run towards Amarok, his hands glowing from the intensity of his demonic energy.
Amorak roared, clenching one of its paws into a giant fist, which it brought down onto where he knew the devil would be in a couple of seconds, a toothy grin coming over its face.
Sephiron looked up and, seeing the huge fist approaching him, rolled out of the way, before pushing himself into the air with his hands, propelling himself a dozen feet away from where Amorak's fist impacted the ground, with such force that the ground shook for a couple of seconds. Sephiron then proceeded to get back to his feet in a motion so fluid that it would have been blindingly obvious to anyone currently watching the fight, that he had practiced this motion hundreds, if not thousands, of times.
The Sitri Heir then proceeded to take a running jump into the air, before throwing his hands behind him and releasing a small amount of his built-up demonic energy from them, in order to propel him forward towards his lupine opponent. He then, curled up his right hand into a fist, picking out the perfect spot to punch Amorak as he flew through the air, more comparable to a bullet than any humanoid being.
Reaching speeds of over five hundred miles an hour, Sephiron threw the punch and perfectly made his mark, hitting Amorak in his front-left leg, right in the middle of the limb that was nearly twice as large as Sephiron himself on its own. Right as his fist connected with Amorak's leg, Sephiron released all the demonic energy that he'd built up into that fist, increasing the power of his punch to the point that it blew a large chunk of Amorak's leg clean away from its body, large enough that it almost split the limb into two.
The ebony-haired Devil could see bits of muscle, tissue, blood and bone flying away from where he'd punched Amorak, and frankly? It was disgusting, but oddly fascinating to see the wolf's blood contrasting with the white snow.
Amarok screeched in pain as it slid back from the force of Sephiron's punch, trying to keep himself upright. Looking over at Sephiron, who had just landed on the ground with grace barely thought possible, Amorak's screech changed to a roar, nearly five times as loud as the one he'd sent at Sephiron before, but the Devil was unfazed. He seemed to be more concerned with brushing snow off his body than with fighting the injured wolf in front of him.
Insulted by Sephiron's showing of contempt towards him, Amorak jumped towards Sephiron again, using purely its hind legs to jump at him while outstretching the paw on the end of its good leg in an attempt to grab him while he was distracted with such a mundane task. However, without even looking at him, Sephiron jumped up into the air, leaving the wolf's paw to close in on nothing but snow and dirt, while Sephiron landed on Amorak's leg, and dashed up the limb too quickly for the beast to even see clearly.
Before Amorak could even blink, Sephiron was in front of its face, so close that Amorak had to go cross-eyed in order to see him clearly.
"Ice Devil's Rage!" Sephiron called, before taking in a deep breath, holding it for a second, then exhaling all over Amorak's face. As he did, a large amount of air flew from Sephiron's mouth, all over Amorak's face. The air was so cold that it had barely hit his face before it froze to ice, and freezing Amorak's face with it. Sephiron then jumped down to the ground, off of the magic-circle that he had created as a platform and took a few steps back as he observed his handiwork.
Or maybe the word 'mouthiwork' would be more accurate in this situation.
But that wasn't important. What WAS important was that Amorak was stood in shock. He didn't even seem to register that nearly half of his face had shattered to pieces in the ice that had formed around it and had dropped to the ground. The other half had been spared from that fate, but it wasn't faring much better. The super-freezing had damaged Amorak's face practically beyond recognition, and it was a wonder that it could even see out of its one remaining eye.
At the sight in front of him, Sephiron cracked a grin, his eyes glimmering. His pupils seemed to glow a bright blue, giving him an otherworldly, almost alien, look.
"Amazing what a little bit of lost magic can do, huh?" Sephiron smirked, winking at Amorak. "What you gonna do now two-face?"
Amorak's shock gave way to anger.
"YOU WILL REGRET EVER COMING HERE!" Amarok yelled. He tried to stomp on the ebony-haired devil with its remaining good front paw. "YOU'LL BE SORRY FOR THIS!"
"Bet." Sephiron replied, not even moving. He just looked up at the rapidly-approaching paw descending onto him. "New move?"
Ignoring Sephiron's sarcastic remark, Amorak grinned, attempting to look triumphant. However, given that half of his mouth was gone, it came off as more disturbing than anything. But that wasn't important to Amorak as its paw landed on the ground, shaking it with the force of the stomp.
As this happened, ice began to form in thin air above the giant wolf, something that it immediately noticed. It looked up, just in time to see Sephiron's form coming out of the ice, and dropping a second later, his left hand outstretched and forming a ball of light-blue demonic energy. When he was about ten meters above the wolf, the ball was fired away from Sephiron's hand.
The instant that Sephiron's ball-shaped attack hit the wolf, it exploded in a manner extremely disproportionate to the attack's size, tearing a huge chunk of skin and tissue away from the wolf's back, and sending its tail flying away as well.
Amorak flew through the air, wheezing from the immense pain that Sephiron's latest attack had brought. It then landed on the ground, sending the snow that had settled onto the ground flying into the air around him, with some of it landing on his back.
A smirk came across Sephiron's face as he descended onto the wolf with the speed of a bullet, blasting through its back and into its chest from behind.
As soon as Amorak registered that Sephiron had actually gone inside him, he gave a gasp of mingled pain and surprise, which was the last thing to ever come out of the beast's mouth before, a second later, it simply dropped to the ground, as quiet as a baby and as dead as a dodo.
Two seconds after that, Sephiron ascended from the corpse of Amorak, a large block of ice levitating just above his right hand, with said block containing Amorak's formerly beating heart. The heart was much larger and darker than any other heart that Sephiron had seen, and was motionless, perfectly frozen. Though the blood trickling down the sides of the ice-block did take away from the image of ultimate classiness and icy perfection that Sephiron was going for. But oh well, killers couldn't be choosers after all.
Regardless of this, Sephiron focused a pulse of raw demonic energy into the block of ice, shattering it in an instant, before dropping it to the ground alongside its dead former owner.

A soft sigh of relief escaped Oriha's lips as she walked down the street with an extremely good friend of hers. Singing and acting in theatre rooms was extremely fun for her, with the fact that it was her job helping things a lot. However, now that she was done with it for the day, she just wanted to enjoy herself with her friend, who was walking alongside her.
'Today would have been so much more bearable if I'd gotten some morning love from Sephi...' Oriha thought. 'But he's probably doing something way cooler than being cooped up in a studio all day. He's so cool!'
The eyes of Sephiron's first Rook practically sparkled as she imagined her King doing cool things. Saving the world, slaying giant monsters and becoming even stronger than he already was, stuff like that.
"Well I guess it's just us today, Oriha." A cute voice said beside Oriha, interrupting her thoughts. "Sephi didn't want to come with us, so let's make the best of it by ourselves!"
"Sera, I told you that he went to go train, remember? it's not like he ditched us on purpose… it's just bad timing." Oriha explained, looking over at the person beside her, her best friend, Serafall Leviathan.
Serafall Leviathan was a beautiful woman who looked in her late-teens with black hair - done up into twin-tails and bright-blue eyes. She had a deceptively childlike body, though her breasts were large enough to make her look like a porn-star. She was one of the four Satans, particularly the one who was charge of foreign affairs, and she was the former heiress of the Sitri Clan and Sephiron's older sister.
She was also the star of her own TV show, in which Oriha also featured.
"I know... but this Kuoh Anime Convention is only once a year!" Serafall pouted, looking immensely cute as she did so. "He could've gone another time and stayed here with his favorite sister!" Serafall's pout disappeared as quickly as it appeared, being replaced with an enthusiastic smile, as if she was about to have the best day of her life, in spite of her little brother's absence.
"…You're his only sister." Oriha deadpanned in reply, under her breath. Even though Serafall was her best friend and co-actor for Magical Girl Leviathan, she still couldn't believe how someone who had lived for hundreds of years could possibly be as childish as she was. But she didn't complain, said childish demeanor was what made their friendship as perfect as it was.
"Well… I suppose that's true." Serafall replied, slowing down slightly. Evidently, she'd heard Oriha's remark.
"You're weird Sera, but that's why I love you so much." Oriha added, slightly wary of the possibility of Serafall growing upset, and she knew well enough what she was like when she was upset.
Luckily, Serafall wasn't - she turned to Oriha, holding up a pair of VIP tickets to the convention, one each for them.
"I love you too Ori~" Serafall winked at her brother's Rook while leaning forward, allowing her large breasts to bounce on her small frame. "But right now, I want to go have some fun!" She exclaimed, eagerly.
"Yeah, let's go!" Oriha exclaimed, just as eagerly, following Serafall and using her VIP ticket to skip the line, and to go straight into the convention, ahead of her exceptionally powerful friend. A huge crowd of people watched the two short beauties as they darted through the crowd: some with raised eyebrows and others - particularly the males of the crowd, with lust and admiration.
"Hey, wait for me!" The pigtailed Pink Satan Girl called out to Oriha, as she chased behind her. However, a pair of otaku guys approached her, asking for pictures and complimenting her looks in the shy way that otaku guys tended to do.
"M-magical girl, can we have a picture?"
"You look so amazing!"
The former heiress waved to the onlookers and briefly posed, allowing them to take their pictures, before rushing off to catch up with her younger co-star. As the two of them passed inside the large convention center - which, in spite of its size, was full of people, they quickly noticed a lot of anime-related stuff that both of them enjoyed greatly.
Serafall's eyes light up with excitement as she pointed at something with one hand, while grabbing Oriha's sleeve with the other.
"Look, look! They have Milky Spiral Seven figurines! C'mon, Oriha, let's go look at them!"
Before Oriha could respond, the overly excited girl began to drag her towards a section on the convention floor that seemed to be selling things that matched the anime she was currently cosplaying.
Everyone within a hundred-meter radius stared at the two women as if they were celebrities - which, in all honesty, they were. But the average people walking around the convention didn't need to know that. It was beginning to irk Oriha a little bit, as random people kept walking up to her and Serafall, and continually asking them for pictures. Serafall seemed to be used to it, and was happy to pose for the camera, but she wasn't as willing. Having dealt with this celebrity status for the entirety of her short life so far, she thought her identity would be kept a secret in Kuoh. However, it didn't seem to be meant to be.
'I wonder if they have anything good in the Tokyo Ghoul section...' Oriha thought to herself. 'Sephiron loves that show.' She slipped into the background of the ravenous crowd that were now swarming them for pictures and autographs, and luckily managed to escape, making her way into the slightly-less-packed Tokyo Ghoul section of the convention center.
About twenty minutes passed before Oriha found things related to the series that she figured her King would enjoy. She looked over the new area for a moment.
'Mhm…' She thought. 'Should I get him a Ken figurine or Haise… I feel like Seph would like the Ken one more since he's always grumpy with everyone. But Ken Kaneki was a shy boy before he changed… damnit, this is so hard!'
"There you are!" A loud and excited voice announced as Oriha felt someone jump on her back.
"What the-" She said confused and mentally preparing herself for retaliating, before realizing it was Serafall again.
"Why'd you leave me, Ori!? I was so sad when I couldn't find you~" She said in a simultaneously cute and dramatic manner.
"Oh. Sorry Sera." Oriha replied, before smiling. "I just wanted to get something for Sephi, please forgive me!" she spoke, in an equally dramatic way, raising her head towards the devil king to really lay the fake-drama on thick.
"It's okay, Ori… I forgive you!" Serafall replied, holding onto her best friend even tighter for a moment, before releasing said best friend.
"Thank you, Sera." Oriha replied, taking a deep breath, she didn't want to make her best friend sad, since she could be incredibly over-dramatic side of things, even more over-dramatic than Oriha herself at times.
"We're best friends after all, I could never stay mad at you!" Serafall said, leaning forward again and winking as Oriha looked back at the figurines that she was eyeing up.
"I think I'll go with the Kaneki one... seems like something Sephi would like." Oriha muttered, slightly distracted from her best friend standing in front of her. Said best friend noticed what Oriha was looking at, and a grin broke out over her face.
"OOOHH, is that Tokyo Ghoul?" She asked. "We should check that out, I know that Sephi loves that show!"
"You knew Sephiron likes Tokyo Ghoul?" Oriha replied, tearing her eyes away from the figurines and looking back at Serafall, who continued to beam with excitement.
"Who doesn't?" The raven-haired Satan countered, while Oriha paid for the Kaneki figurine, and the two of them walked off to check out more merchandise, with Oriha thinking to herself that, maybe, her King and her King's older sister were more similar than most people thought. Including Sephiron himself.
Before either of them knew it, Oriha and Serafall were going around and buying random things that they, in all honesty, really didn't need, and having a blast while doing it. After about an hour of that, Serafall insisted that they go to a few panels, all of which they enjoyed immensely. Neither of the best friends knew, or cared, where the time had gone until they realized that people were leaving the convention center, which prompted Oriha to walk outside and look upon the nighttime sky.
"I can't believe we spent the whole afternoon here." Oriha muttered, shaking her head in disbelief while shivering slightly, as the night was, surprise surprise, quite a bit colder than the afternoon.
"But it WAS SO FUUUUUN!" Serafall emphasized each word louder and louder as she latched into her bestie's arm while they were walking out. She seemed to be unaffected by the cold. "Best thing I've done in a looooooong time." She added, emphasizing the penultimate word.
"Same…" Oriha replied, a smile bracing her face. "I had a great time too."
"I never get to do that many things at conventions because of constantly working on the show, or my work as a Satan, but that just makes time off like this all the better!" Serafall giggled. "If only Sephi was here, we would have had the best day ever!" the magical Satan Girl giggled. "Maybe we could've ended the night with a bit of private fun~"
"Y-yeah..." Oriha replied, blushing for a second before meeting eyes with Serafall. "Thanks for the VIP ticket, Sera. I really appreciate it." The words came out more sincerely than Oriha really expected them to, but she meant every syllable of what she said, even if she had been slightly annoyed with her best friend constantly going off to take pictures and talk with her fans.
"No problem." Serafall replied, clutching onto Oriha a little tighter before letting go. "Oriha?"
Oriha blinked as she turned towards Serafall. She didn't expect her best friend to call her by her full name, since she usually called people she cared about with her own nicknames, which ranged from making sense to... not.
"Yeah?"
"We can do this again, right?" The raven-haired Satan asked, hope in her eyes.
"Sure!" Oriha replied. Serafall physically jumped in the air from happiness and landed on the ground before spinning and striking a pose.
"Yay! Sparkle shine, your command is mine! See you around, Ori!" She cheered before running off, out of Oriha's sight. Given the abundance of people leaving the convention center, Oriha presumed that Serafall was going to find a quiet alleyway, out of sight of everyone, to warp back to the Underworld from, while Oriha simply turned around and walked back home, a bag in her hand full to bursting of the merchandise that she had purchased.

"498... 499... 500."
Inside the student council office, Meiko Shiraki was doing push-ups, as a large puddle of her sweat collected beneath her pale body. Her cleavage was in full view, unrestricted by the top half of her blouse, which was unbuttoned to allow ease of movement. If one were to look closely, they would be able to see her bra, which barely containing those humongous breasts as they heaved with every breath she took.
After her 500th and final rep, Meiko took a deep breath and, after a minute's break, rolled over onto her back, making sure that she wasn't lying in a puddle of her own sweat. She took a breath, before raising her knees slightly and beginning to do crunches.
As opposed to going out and having fun with her fellow peerage members, this was how Meiko usually spent her afternoons when Sephiron wasn't around. Whether it was her body, mind and or spirit, she was very much a 'business or in this case, body over pleasure' woman. She didn't want to feel like a drag for Sephiron, so she always pushed herself to her limits, in order to be the best Queen/girlfriend possible for him.
After 25 minutes, and after 500 sit-ups, in spouts of 100 with a minute's break in between, Meiko got up from the floor and, after drinking an entire bottle of water in one go, and taking some more deep breaths to calm her heart-rate, picked up two 100lb dumbbells that lay on the floor - which she had brought from home and lined her legs and arms up with the floor tiles, in a squat-position.
Unlike the others in Sephiron's peerage, Meiko's power did not come from using weapons, magic or latent energy, her power came solely from physical strength, very much thanks to being the wielder of Absolute Crossing, a powerful high-class Sacred Gear that multiplied the wielder's sensory and physical capabilities according to the intensity of their emotions and feelings: so having a calm and neutral feeling would yield milder results than being in a furious rage.
When activated in base form, Meiko's Sacred Gear took the form of a tattoo that had three quote-mark-like symbols surrounded by a circle, with eight spikes shooting out, situated in the centre of her upper-chest. However, when Meiko's emotions and feelings became too intense to control, the spikes that shot out of the circle would extend over her entire body, and bolts of lightning would also surround her body when she was in this state.
The power that Meiko built up was also able to be released in the form of shockwaves that could break through anything, from barriers to armor to people. However, this required intense training on her end, else releasing the power of Absolute Crossing could lead to broken bones, destroyed muscles, or worse, which was what led Meiko to her habit- no, her obsession, with training to the point that she was physically stronger than most reincarnated Devils… but it wasn't enough. She wanted to become the strongest Queen in the Underworld, and, in time, the greatest wife that Sephiron could possibly have, when or if he was ready to get married.
After Meiko finished her squats and set her dumbbells aside, she raised her demonic power slightly in order to signal her familiar. After a couple of seconds, a bright-yellow magic-circle appeared in the corner of the room, and out of it came a short, young-looking girl with long, wavy, pastel yellow-blonde hair that reached down to her feet, large green eyes with no pupils, peach-colored skin and a child-like build.
She wore a frilly, pink layered robe with red ribbon tied in a bow around her neck, with three blue diamond-patterns with two blue triangles above, each of chose being outlined in a hot pink. She wore wing-like adornments around her ears and small hoop earrings, and, for some reason, was barefoot.
"Mavis." Meiko greeted her familiar, with a rare soft smile as she placed her left hand on her hip. "What happened to the pair of shoes that I gave you?"
"I, uhh… lost them." Replied the now-identified Mavis, her cheeks suddenly tinted red with a small smile spreading across her face. "I see you've been training."
"Don't try changing the subject." Meiko answered in a dry tone as she swiped the sweat of her forehead, and sighed. She couldn't grasp how clueless someone Mavis could be at times.
Mavis Vermillion was Meiko's first and so far only familiar. She became her master four years ago, when Sephiron had first taken her to the familiar forest to look for a familiar to serve as an assistant for her. At first glance, Meiko assumed that Mavis was a Fairy child who seemed to have lost her way, with the fact that she had been roaming around the forest barefoot and glassy-eyed not exactly helping matters. However, when Sephiron had told her that she was one of the strongest beings in the entire forest - including beings like the Nine-Headed Hydra and Tiamat, it definitely came as a shock for her.
At first, Meiko assumed Sephiron was just messing with her (as he sometimes did), but one look at the expression on his face was enough to tell that he was being serious. If the fact that the clueless-looking Fairy was actually among the strongest of her race wasn't surprising enough, finding out that she was known as the 'Fairy Tactician' would have absolutely floored her. Known across the entire supernatural world for her power in illusions and battle strategy, she was said to have guided the New-Satan faction in the civil war against the Old Satan Faction. She was also said that, thanks to her strategy, she prevented the loss of enough Devils during the civil war to have rendered it impossible to recover their numbers, even with the not so recent invention of the Evil Pieces.
Why she hadn't been picked up by an older, more powerful Devil of higher status to their familiar, peerage member or sex slave was absolutely beyond Meiko.
Mavis closed her eyes and chuckled at Meiko's all-business remark.
"No need to be grumpy, Meiko." She replied, before opening her eyes and attempting to sense for her master's king. "So, is Sephiron away training with his Master again?"
"Yeah..." Meiko responded, her tone making it quite clear that she missed her lover dearly, even if it hadn't been a fully 24 hours since she last seen him. She couldn't help but be worried when she wasn't by his side, even if he was the one of the strongest Devils alive, and likely - in her mind, to become the strongest of them all, one day.
"He'll be fine, Meiko. If I had to worry about anyone, I would be worried for whoever gets in Sephiron's way during his training." Mavis assured her, smiling calmly at her big-chested master, who nodded while relaxing herself a little bit. Even if Mavis was her familiar, Meiko couldn't help but see her as something of a mother figure, whom she respected highly and always confided in whenever she needed to talk about something that she wasn't sure Sephiron would be able to help with. Even if you'd never get her to admit it out loud, she cared immensely for her Fairy familiar.
"Anyway, if you called me here for more training, we should get going." Mavis remarked to Meiko. "You don't want to fall to behind your boyfriend now, do you~?" She added, in a slightly teasing tone, causing Meiko to glare, rather half-heartedly, at her. Giggling slightly to herself, Mavis then prepared a yellow magic transportation for the pair of them to go start their training session together.
-o-
Around half an hour after Meiko and Mavis left Kuoh Academy for their training, the twice-weekly meeting of the Kendo Club was in full swing, and Saeko Busujima stood before a brown-haired girl who charged at her with a shinai, swinging it at her, while the two of them were surrounded by the other members of the club, made up of mostly girls.
Saeko easily saw the strike coming, and easily dodged it before leaning back forward and slamming her palm into the back of the girl - who was named Murayama, causing her to fly forward and land on the ground, hissing in pain and feeling her shinai flying out of her hand.
"Again." Saeko spoke, while calmly reaching up to her head to scratch an itch that had popped up there, while Murayama picked up her shinai and glared at her captain, before charging at her again, ignoring the flaring pain in her back.
Saeko simply sighed and span her body around, just as Murayama came at her and swung, causing her to miss Saeko entirely as the purple-haired beauty ended up behind her, which she only realized when Saeko kicked out at her, sending her flying forward and rolling on the floor for a couple of seconds, before she came to a stop and flopped onto her back, groaning slightly from the intense pain.
"You never learn, do you?" Saeko remarked, neutrally. "You all seriously have to clear your minds when sparring. Anger leads to recklessness, recklessness leads to getting hit, and getting hit leads to what you see with Murayama."
"Got it..." Murayama's voice was strained from the pain as she sat up.
"Katase, go and treat Murayama." Saeko ordered of a short, pink-haired girl, who nodded and took Murayama away. "In the meantime, Rei, Rui, get over here."
Immediately, the two girls that Saeko had called, a second-year student with orangy-brown hair and reddish-brown eyes and a second-year student with short blue hair and bright magenta eyes with a blank look on her face, walked into the center of the room that all the Kendo Club members occupied.
"The two of you can spar. I want to see how you've progressed since the beginning of the year." Saeko announced. "The rest of you, get into sparring pairs, you'll all be going after these two. I want to see who's good enough to compete this year."
Everyone nodded in understanding, knowing that not everyone in the club got to compete in the highest competitions. Almost single-handedly thanks to Saeko, Kuoh Academy had placed highly, kendo-wise, in their region of Japan, ever since Saeko had joined the school and revolutionized the Kendo Club - since before that, their team had always ranked far lower, never qualifying for any high-tier tournaments. It got to the point that the staff had decided to leave the club without a coach or chaperone, since Saeko was so good at managing it.
Rei had a confident smirk in her face, while Rui had a blank expression on her face. She knew that the others inside the dojo all believed that Rei was going to turn out the winner of their spar, as she had been in the team for the last 2 years, and was a contender for the coveted title of second-best in said team - with Saeko far and away the best, as opposed to Rui, who had only been in the club for a few months.
"I won't go hard on you." Rei informed Rui, a smirk on her face. Rui just ignored her as she watched Saeko walking over to the stash where they kept the shinai. She picked two out and tossed one each to Rui and Rei.
"Listen, this is an informal match, anything goes except head and groin shots, and each hit is a point. Whoever reaches ten points first will be the winner." Saeko explained to the two beautiful girls. "Ready..."
Rei gave Rui one last smirk and settled into her own style.
"Set…"
Rui smirked slightly, knowing through observation what Rei's style was geared towards.
'Her style is made for countering, so I'll just attack faster then she can counter. She probably thinks I'm a newbie… that's good.'
Rui settled into her own style, preparing for the inevitable call of-
"Go!"
Rui charged, closing the distance between them in seconds, surprising Rei, and the rest of the club, with how fast she was. Rui swung at Rei's left shoulder, making her block with her left Shinai at an awkward angle. Rei swung for Rui's chest with her right Shinai, making Rui fall backwards. Rui then did the same pivoting move, but this time Rei dodged, again.
Jumping back up, Rui immediately went back on the offensive, performing an overhead slash. Rei blocked it with her Shinai, with the two weapons in an X. Rui jabbed with her weapon, but Rei redirected her overhead swing and moved her Shinai across downwards to block Rui's strike.
Rui jumped back, breathing a sigh of relief.
'She's good.' Rui thought, knotting her eyebrows in slight frustration. "You have a good defense."
"And your offense is amazing, Rui. I didn't know you were this good!" Rei replied, with a large grin.
"Predictable." Rui murmured to herself, everyone else in the dojo hearing what she said. Before anyone could figure out what she was on about, Rui had dashed towards Rei again, using her confusion to get in two quick strikes to the chest: Points one and two.
Rui aimed a third strike at her, but it was blocked, forcing her to jump backwards, putting some distance between herself and Rei. Seconds later, Rui was back on the offensive. Right before she reached Rei, she spun her body around and swung her shinai at Rei's lower back, but her attack was blocked in the nick of time. Rui leaned backwards to dodge the retaliating strike, and used the momentum gained from leaning back in to slash her opponent twice in the back: points three and four.
Rui jumped away as Rei retaliated with a slash that caught her in her upper chest, gaining the brown-eyed older student her first point of the match. She didn't pursue Rui, who took a few more steps back, leaving a sizeable distance between them.
…
After a few seconds of staring each other down, both ran at each other, with a flurry of hacks, slashes, and dodges and blocks ensuing, with neither having a visible advantage over the other. Everyone in the dojo cheered both combatants on, with an audible majority being in Rui's corner as none of them expected the new club member to be this good… except Saeko.
'You've improved so much in such short time, Rui.' Saeko thought, a rare smile spreading across her features.
Rui's newfound confidence was interrupted by a sharp sting of reality, in the form of Rei getting another hit in on her, this time on her right shoulder: point two for Rei.
Rui immediately retaliated with a swift blow to Rei's stomach that sent her reeling back in pain: point five for her. Ignoring Rei's remark about how Rui's most recent hit hurt like hell, the blue-haired second-year ran towards Rei, purposefully going past her so she could spin around and get an unexpected strike in on her back: point six for her. She then turned around, ran back and into the air, swinging at Rei's upper body, which forced the taller student to duck into an awkward position to avoid Rui's attack. Rui then landed behind Rei, and before Rei could turn around, Rui ducked low and struck her twice in the legs - points seven and eight.
As Rui straightened up, Rei hit her in the stomach with her left Shinai, earning her third point and sending Rui back to the ground. Rui proceeded to use the momentum of being sent backwards to roll backwards and jump back to her feet.
'Both are showing impressive feats, but Rui still has the lead.' Saeko thought to herself, smiling to herself as she kept count of the points: 8-3 to Rui.
Rei rushed towards Rui, attempting to stage some kind of comeback - as she was aware that Rui was ahead of her in the points, and attempted to strike at her from above, but Rui slid underneath Rei's legs and struck her twice in the back - points nine and ten.
"Alright, stop!" Saeko called, walked towards the two fighters, who immediately stopped what they were doing and looked towards their captain. The taller purple-haired woman turned towards Rei. "You did pretty well, Rei, in spite of you underestimating your opponent."
Rei slumped her shoulders in disappointment, she wanted to show Saeko her improvement but ended up with a loss. But in the end, Rui was a hell of an opponent and she was proud for her, so she raised her head and gave a large smile towards the blue-haired girl, which Rui returned with a rather smaller smile.
Saeko then turned her head towards the winner. "You fought well, Rui, I am very proud in your progression."
Rui simply nodded at her captain, then watched Saeko turned her head towards the other girls in the dojo.
"Who wants to go next?"

At around the same time as another pair of Kendo Club members took to the floor to spar in front of their Captain, the Gremory group were gathered together in the ORC room in the aftermath of their recent trip to the Familiar Forest. Akeno had just served tea to everyone, while they watched the familiar that Asia had managed to procure for herself - a baby Sprite Dragon whom she had named Rassei.
"They say that sprite dragons only give themselves to masters that they deem to be the most worthy and pure of heart." Mused Rias, loud enough for the rest of her peerage to hear. "Not to mention that normally, they never choose to serve a devil." She sipped from her cup of tea while Asia stroked the now-named Rassei's head.
"Asia used to be a holy sister." Akeno pointed out. "Who knows, maybe that had some sway over the little guy." She giggled, while standing at her King's side.
"Would make the most sense." Koneko remarked, her tone just as blank and deadpan as it usually was, while she chewed on an English muffin and watched Rassei snuggling into Asia's chest, tickling her slightly as he did so. Everyone in the peerage seemed to be amused by the events taking place before them... everyone, that is, except Issei.
"Hey, bad dragon!" He exclaimed, sounding frustrated. He jumped to his feet and pointed at Rassei. "That chest isn't yours to nuzzle in, got that?!"
In reply to Issei's perverted outburst, Rassei let out a shot of blue lightning straight towards Issei, causing him to squeal loudly, before falling to the ground as if he had been hit by a powerful taser.
"Ah, Rassei, you don't have to do that." Asia scoled her familiar in a soft, loving tone. "Please be nice to Uncle Issei, okay?"
Rassei seemed to pout for a moment, before glaring at Issei, and then looking back at his Master, before nodding.
"Alright then sweet boy, it's time to say goodnight." Asia said in the same gentle tone as earlier, before a green magic-circle, of her making, appeared under the tiny dragon and transported it away. Back to the familiar forest, probably. In any case, Issei managed to pull himself upwards, still twitching slightly from the shock that Rassei gave him.
"I-I know I should be happy for her, but now that A-asia has a leg up on me, I guess I'm kinda jealous..." The brunette pervert mumbled.
"Took you long enough to realize that." Koneko replied, after swallowing her bite of muffin.
"You know what though?!" Issei called out, in reply. "That doesn't change the fact that I'll get a kickass familiar of my own, one that's better than any of yours!" He stood up and stepped in front of Kiba. "That includes you, pretty boy!"
"I look forward to it." Kiba replied, taking a step back, with his ever-present bright smile remaining on his face, in spite of Issei's face being literal centimeters away from his own. "Well, I'm gonna head home. Social Studies homework won't do itself, after all."
"Same." Issei added, hurriedly stepping back as well, as he didn't want to look like he was gay in front of Rias - who had moved back to her desk and sat down, Akeno - who had decided to sit down on one of the couches and Asia who probably couldn't comprehend the idea of someone being gay, she was that innocent.
"See you tomorrow, night." Asia added, and she and Issei left the room, with Kiba following suit soon after.
Moments after Issei, Kiba, Koneko and Asia left. Rias let out a small giggle from her desk.
"Issei's got a long way to go." She mused to herself, while Akeno remained silent as she adjusted her position on the couch that she was sat on. She wanted to talk with Rias and get something off her chest, something that she's been holding in ever since Issei had joined Rias' ranks as a peerage member.
"Rias?"
"Yes, Akeno?" Rias asked, turning her head up to look at her queen. She was slightly surprised by the serious expression on her face. "What's up?"
Akeno let out a soft sigh, deciding that beating around the bush was a bad idea, before opening her mouth again.
"When are you planning to tell Issei about Sephiron?"
Rias raised a brow in confusion.
"What do you mean, Akeno?" She asked. "Didn't we already explain everything that Issei needed to know about him?"
Akeno hardened her gaze slightly at her King.
"You know what I meant, Rias. Please don't play dumb with me."
Rias widened her eyes slightly at Akeno's backchat, before turning her head away to look out at the setting sun, for a few seconds.
"I think I've already told you that I don't have feelings for him anymore… I would appreciate it if you didn't bring that up again, Akeno."
Akeno stared at the back of her king's head, a pang of sympathy forming in the pit of her stomach. She couldn't help but feel sad for her best friend, as she remembered hearing stories of Rias and Sephiron when they were younger. According to Rias' parents, they were the best of friends, and practically inseparable, to the point that they both agreed to the idea of an arranged marriage between the pair of them, which was seen as an immense victory for both the Gremory and Sitri Clans.
However, one day, when Rias was twelve years old, Sephiron had come up missing, and no-one in the Underworld was able to find him. Most of the Underworld took it pretty hard when one of its most promising Heirs disappeared, but none had apparently taken it harder than Rias. She had instantly assumed the worst, though that didn't stop her from searching for her best friend: accompanying servants of both the Gremory and Sitri families on search-missions, but to no avail. Eventually, the Devil Elders pronounced Sephiron dead, as he had not been found for 2 years.
Yet three years after Sephiron's disappearance and presumed-death, the news of Sephiron returning home had come out, and subsequently spread like wildfire throughout the Underworld, exciting everyone, not least of which Serafall and Rias, the latter of which especially... until she saw the grey-haired beauty, Meiko Shiraki, with breasts who surpassed even her own, by Sephiron's side.
What made her heart drop even more than it did was the fact they were both holding hands as if they've been together for years. The devil media were asking questions about whether or not Meiko was Sephiron's girlfriend, and calling her a 'Princess', given Sephiron's previous title of Young Prince of the Underworld. And whenever Rias got the chance to see Sephiron, he (as opposed to before he left) would just ignore her or give her a dark look at most. What made matters worse was the fact that her parents told her that the marriage contract between Sitri and Gremory was void due to Sephiron's absence, and when the council asked him if he wanted to rejuvenate it… Sephiron denied it immediately.
Due to all of that, Akeno felt pretty damn justified in feeling hatred towards the Sitri heir. To those that didn't know Rias as personally as Akeno did, Rias was the confident and beautiful Crimson-Haired Ruin Princess, Kuoh's number one beauty, an untouchable goddess. Yet in reality, she was just a young girl with a broken heart that had tried to prove herself to the man who had gone from loving her as much as she loved him to avoiding her like the plague… though if Sephiron were to be told that, it wouldn't be out of the question to assume that he would respond with something like how that was an insult to the plague.
Rias didn't even acknowledge Akeno when she bade her goodnight and left in a red transportation-circle, leaving her alone to silently stew in her own thoughts.

Yuu and Kurumu made their way across the main dance floor of Kuoh's most well-known gay night club, which was incredibly crowded. After dodging a man in a pink tutu-skirt twirling across the floor, two immensely attractive women practically having sex, and a semi-muscular man winking at a reddening boy that looked too young to be allowed in, they finally making it up to the bar counter, which was slightly quieter.
Yuu looked across the club area with trepidation in her eyes. She knew that her best friend/Kurumu occasionally bartended at gay clubs before, and she had heard stories from her about this club but never having actually been in here, or anywhere like here, before made her more nervous then she first thought it would be. The reason why they were at such a place was simple: they were both scared shitless of Meiko and didn't want to get in the way of her training... or worse, be dragged into it themselves. So, the best alternative, they thought, was to go party.
Looking around the bar, Yuu noticed that the interior was oddly colorful and bright. It looked, in her opinion, like somebody had puked all the colors of the rainbow all over the room - green, orange and yellow sofas, purple tables and blue blinking disco lights. The DJ was blasting some upbeat techno music through some really terrible speakers, though no-one in the club seemed to care - they danced the night away in various states of undress and a uniform state of drunkenness.
Yuu blinked and turned away as a young man only wearing his underpants was doing some kind of dance performance to a cheering crowd of males. Yeah, she was sure that she was going to murder Kurumu when they got home. Not caring if they were lovers or not.
"Tell me honey, is that your real hair or a wig?" A sultry male-sounding voice announced from out of nowhere, making Yuu jump and turn around. A blue-haired and rather posh-looking woman, wearing heavy eye-makeup and a slim-fit designer suit, had walked up to the bar where the duo was stood examining a menu, and was now eyeing up Yuu's hair with interest.
"Um… It's real." Yuu said, blushing without looking at the man... woman... uh...?
"You're so pretty love, would you mind me buying you a drink?" The blue-haired person asked. From a couple of feet over, Kurumu had an amused look, and was trying harder and harder to not laugh as Yuu's blush became more and more pronounced.
"N-no, thanks." She forced out.
"Aww, come on, just one!" The man/woman pouted, playfully. "No harm in that, hmmm?"
"I have a boyfriend!" Yuu yelled, trying to make herself heard over the loud music.
"But you're in a gay club." The blue-haired woman declared with a smile. "It's okay, darling. You don't have to lie. I understand. We've all had 'boyfriends' at one time or another. Come find me when you're ready for that drink, yeah?" She winked to Yuu before leaving the bar counter and heading towards the dance floor.
Kurumu couldn't contain her laughter anymore. Yuu's expression of simultaneous confusion and embarrassment was just too much for her.
"I-I didn't expect that…" Yuu mumbled, as Kurumu laughed, long and hard, for about half a minute. Once her laughs died down, she finally managed to get the words out.
"Oh my god, that was the funniest shit I've ever seen!" Kurumu grinned at Yuu, who scowled. "Not into trannies, are you Yuu?"
"No!" Yuu replied, her blush becoming still deeper. Kurumu giggled in reply as the two young women ordered their drinks. Kurumu requested something with 'lots of alcohol' in it and was now happily sipping a rather strong, but sweet orange-flavored drink that made her soft in the knees and a little giddy. Yuu needed a hot shot after the encounter with the Bruce Jenner-wannabe. The duo had then taken to a deserted corner of the club and was watching the night go by – Yuu feeling awkward and slightly uneasy.
"I can't believe somebody hit on you in the first minute of us entering the club." Kurumu mumbled to Yuu, still snickering at the bar encounter that had happened twenty minutes before. "I don't think even I was that lucky."
"Why didn't you say anything, aren't you supposed to be my girlfriend?!" Yuu hissed angrily, tired of being teased after enduring ten more minutes of Kurumu's giggling and comments. It only caused Kurumu to snicker some more, causing Yuu to sigh to herself.
"Something tells me this is going to be a long night."
"You betcha." Kurumu grinned at her lover.

Several hours after defeating and killing Amorak, the self-proclaimed Demon Wolf, Sephiron continued to make his way up Mount Zonia. He came past a cave, and briefly considered settling in to rest for a short while but decided against it. The last time he'd done that, he'd woken up and continued to find out that the cave was close to the top of the mountain, so he ignored the cave while also registering that he was getting close to his destination - that being the top of the mountain.
It was far more of a wasteland than what Sephiron remembered it being, the last time he had come here to train with his Master. He didn't have a clue what had happened here, but there wasn't much he could do other than just walk through it in anticipation of whoever or whatever his Master would send at him... if he were to send anything at Sephiron at all.
The idea of anticipation had barely entered Sephiron' mind before he noticed a large flame-colored magic-circle opening up in front of him, and a large dragon-like creature, coming out of it. The creature looked to be entirely made out of flames, but aside from that, he looked well enough like a Dragon: having a large body, a pair of fiery wings, four clawed limbs and a tail.
Just his physical presence seemed to be enough to melt a large portion of the snow that was falling and had collected on the ground beside him and Sephiron, who just looked up at the Dragon in front of him.
"Atlas Flame." He stated, his tone neutral. "Of course, he'd send you against me."
"Indeed, Sitri Heir." The flaming Dragon replied. "Your Master recruited me to fight against you. I believe his exact words were 'It would be a good way to up the ante from his previous fight a few hours ago'."
Sephiron remained silent, while eying up the Dragon that had earned the nickname of the 'Eternal Flame'.
'These flames are stronger than Ruval's.' He thought, as, like with before his battle with Amorak, his hands began to glow as he imbued them with demonic energy, in preparation for the fight that was to come.
Amarok is a giant wolf in Inuit mythology. He is said to stalk and devour any person foolish enough to hunt alone at night. Unlike wolves who hunt in packs, Amarok hunts alone. Amarok is the second strongest wolf in this story (weaker then Fenrir obviously). His strength is around mid-level, High-Class Devil strength. So he isn't just some pushover. I will be adding more creatures from different mythologies throughout the story. I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter and always remember to leave some feed back in the review section or pm me.
1) Dragons in this story will be immensely powerful compared to canon. If you guys have watched Fairy Tail they are similar to Dragons in that anime. They won't be unbeatable… but they are very powerful. In fact, all 5 Dragon Kings and one other Dragon are in the Top 30 Strongest Beings. Atlas Flame has power that can rival a Dragon King, but he isn't as powerful as the current five.
2) Yes, Rui Tuchibana is from the anime called "Domestic Girlfriend". The Kendo Club will not be overlooked like in most stories. A lot of important characters are in the club and we will find out about them later. Also, a quick spoiler, other schools will have important characters that are also martial artists. Rei Miyamoto is from "Highschool of the Dead".
3) I went into more info on Rias and Sephiron's past in this chapter, they're be way more in the future. Mostly about Sephiron but expect lots of flashbacks about there past. I will not forget about Origins' of important characters in this story.
4) Some of you might call this a "filler chapter". It kinda is and it kinda isn't. I wanted to show you guys the life of Sephiron's peerage members and what they do with their free time, while we learn more about them. If you guys enjoyed the scenes, then I will make more humor/filler type scenes in the future (just let me know k).
5) Yes, Sephiron used "Ice Devil Slayer Magic". A lost magic, which will be included in this story. The only exceptions are there will not be dragon slaying or god slaying magic. I might change my mind in the future, but those magics have too much potential for this story, and I don't see Igneel or the other dragons using the "Dragon Soul" technique and seal themselves inside of their children. Remember this story is limitless, if you guys have any ideas or unique magic abilities for me to use in this story, please let me know ASAP.
