Jacob woke in the middle of the night to a whimpering, crying sound.

He nuzzled into Yoro; was she crying?

Why would a goddess cry.

Yoro was shaking and shivering next to him.

Jacob nipped her ear to wake her.

It didn't work.

Finally he sent his thoughts to her.

"Don't cry Yoro. I'm here. I'm beside you. Everything will be alright. I will protect you." Jacob said.

"My wolf and my warrior. You offer much to a broken soul." Yoro responded without lifting her head.

"My soul is just as broken as yours is."
