Varys was enjoying his life. The entire Red Keep was brimming with chaotic energy. By some miracle Lord Tywin had managed to convince his son-in-law to not wage war on the far corners of the other continent, Robert was ready to sail on his fastest ship to the far corners of the world to find Rhaegar.
Right now, Robert was marching in front of his throne. The hall was empty of all the lords, only members of the small council and the Kings guards remained.
Ser Barristan had been shocked to hear the news of the living status of the Silver Prince and the Dornish Princess. It looked like the man had aged a decade in a day. Rhaegar had always been held in great regard had had great love from all those who had seen and served under his father, he was supposed to the one who would liberate them from the Mad King's reign but all that hope had been for naught. The realm was liberated when the Mad King died but all it got was a drunk heartbroken man who moaned for a woman who never loved him, he drank, he whored and had led the Kingdom to a debt the size of the fucking wall.
All he wanted was to serve a nice King, a King who would have helped the Kingdom, a King who would think about the people the common folk the ones who had been hurt before because of the Mad King. All that was left of the Targaryen dynasty was a broken family, a broken Kingdom, a throne in heavy debt and a deserted island where now Baratheon flags flowed in the wind.
But now there was hope, hope that he could serve the rightful King, Barristan had to find the Silver Prince, nay the Silver King now, the Last Dragon.

. . .
In the dead of the night Barristan packed his meager belongings in a sack and quietly exited the White Tower. He was almost out of the tower when a small child handed him a scroll.
With a sigh he opened the scroll, knowing even before reading it that a certain spider wanted to meet,
On the note were a few words, 'Silver Wolf, come at once. Alone.'
How did that man know all that was happening was a conundrum? He wanted to question him as to why did he out the King to the Baratheon, Selmy knew for a fact that Varys was a supporter of the Targaryen's.
Without any delay he made his way to the tavern, it was a new one which was owned and operated solely by Northern men. Jon snow had opened many such establishments all over continent and even in Essos. It was one of the better-looking inns in the capital. The white building with five floors, the lower served as a dining hall which was full of people having a merry time and soft music played. Ale flowed freely and the scent of fresh bread assaulted his senses.
He was led inside by a maid who took him to a room on the top most floor. She knocked the door and prompted him inside.
Nothing could have prepared him for the scene he saw inside. There stood in the room were his brothers, brothers he had long thought to be dead, brothers he had mourned and shed tears for. Now they stood in front of him like nothing had ever happened. Arthur and Gerold, his brothers, his belongings fell to the ground with a clang, in a rush he embraced the two men with all his might. He was not ashamed to admit that a few tears were shed.
'Where have you been all these years?' he asked, his mind thinking of all the possibilities.
'We have been with our King, as you should have been but you, bent your knees in front of the Baratheon. Why did you do that?' Gerold asked.
'I thought my King was dead. There was nothing for me to live for. I was injured in the battle that presumably took our King from us. The enemies nursed my wounds. All I had known was my white cloak I did not know what I would have done if not be a Kingsguard. So yes, I bent my knee. Now I hear my King is alive, I left the usurper that has done nothing but bring shame to the throne and to the blood he shares with our rightful King.' Barristan said.
'I told you he is loyal to the Targaryens! Can we now tell him the truth?' said Arthur.
'Truth? What truth?' Selmy asked.
'What have you heard about our King?' Gerold asked.
'Only what Varys had told. All I know is my King and Queen are alive and they have dragons and Daenerys with them. Is there anything else I should know?' he asked.
'Well my friend make yourself comfortable. It is a long tale and one which has a nice end. You are in for a delightful tale.' said Arthur and then he begun to tell Barristan all that he should know before being presented to the king.
Several cups of wine later when the sun was almost up Arthur quieted down. He looked at the gob-smacked expression on Barristan's face and let out a laugh that made his shake off that expression.
'You are telling me not only King Rhaegar and Queen Elia alive and well along with the Targaryen Princesses but that the Princess Visenya has married King Gryffindor. That the Queen I met over the royal visit is the sister of our King. Also, you tell me that not only were King and Lyanna Stark married they had a son, a son who is hidden as a bastard of Ned Stark, that the most honorable man in all of Westeros had hidden the last scion of the most prestigious lineages in the World as a bastard but he knows the truth and that he has found himself a bride who is the daughter of the King who has married our King's sister, also that the entire royal family of Essos can do magic and can control a myriad of magical beings which includes dragons, griffins, birds which are prone to spontaneously catch fire or let out bolts of lightning and the Essosi Princess can control all these beings on top of having magic and can also control snakes one of which is a sixty feet long beast. Both Princes have dragons of their own and they can control earth and air while the Princess can control fire and water on top of earth and air. Did I leave anything?' Barristan said in a monotone.
The entire room was silent when a voice full of humor broke it. The voice was brought out bittersweet memories back to his mind. It was both achingly familiar and foreign at the same time.
'I think that you broke Ser Barristan the Bold, Arthur.'
Selmy turned and he saw his King standing in front of him, all well and healthy. With a gasp all the occupants of the room fell to their knees.
'My king, please accept my pledge of service, I wish to serve the King I believed in, a King the realm deserves. I will fight for you king and for your family.'
'Rise Ser Barristan. You are one of the greatest swordsmen the world has seen and it would be a waste to have you not by my side.'
With a smile he rose up.
'Not to be rude but my King, what are you doing here in Westeros that too in the Capital. What if someone sees you.'
'Don't worry about that I have my ways, with Varys controlling his little birds and the spies my son and his betrothed have it will be a miracle if a sliver of information about my presence in the capital reaches the Red Keep. My reasons to come here are two-fold. I seek information. You have spent years in the Red Keeps you know the men who roam in halls my ancestors built.'
'Ask my King, I am yours to command.'
'What do you think of Baelish, then master of coin?'
'Petyr Baelish? He is a worm your grace, nay he is worse than that. He is a whoremonger, before Lord Stark came to the capital almost all the Gold cloaks were under his payroll. He is a corrupt man who has delusions of grandeur, often in his eyes one can see the disdain he has for Lord Stark, if he was a lesser man Baelish would have orchestrated his death.'
'Yes, Baelish is a dangerous man, I thought so, the second reason for my coming her is to capture him. He has to pay for the role he played in the rebellion. He was the one who spread the rumors of Lady Lyanna being kidnaped which led to murders of her father and brother. He did it in the hopes that maybe after the death of her betrothed, Lady Catelyn might be receptive of his advance but no... that woman wanted to a Lady of a Lord Paramount and so did her father. Hoster Tully and Baelish will pay but for now I want to hunt he mockingbird.'
'It would be my honor to capture the worm for you my king.'
'Your enthusiasm is noted but you are much more valuable if you are not seen my anyone. My men must have already captured him. They will take him back home; I want you to come with me Arthur and Gerold.'
'I would love that my King.'
'Good. Let us go back home them.' He said with a smile.
How will be travel? Won't you be recognized? The entire capital knows you. What if you are spotted, my King.'
He smiled at his worry and replied in a gentle voice.
'We will not use a ship. We are going to use magic.'
A Tall dark haired man with surprisingly pointed ears popped into the room.
'Let us go Ser Selmy.'
He took the hand of the man with pointed ears. With a loud pop his surroundings vanished in a blur and then the next moment he was standing in front of a huge keep made of dark stone.
But it was not the keep that held his attention it was the dragons. At least ten dragons roamed the sky but the black dragon eclipsed the others in size.
Hearing about dragons was one thing but seeing them was another. After more than a century dragons were flying in the sky again.
This made him sure that his rightful King would avenge his throne. The Targaryens will rule the Seven Kingdoms again.
