Happy Mother's Day!

He stepped on something coming out, he lifted his foot to see a basket filled with papers. He moved his foot over and climbed out, he sat down and opened one of the papers.

He looked up from the pile notes, he walked back inside to find Les on the floor underneath his blankets his scruffy hair peeking out. He gently tapped his shoulder

"Come on Les, it's time to go."

"Alright," he mumbled climbing out from under the blankets. Davey walked out of the room to find his mother in the kitchen. He snuck up behind her and hugged her,

"What's this for?" She asked turning to hug him,

"Everything and nothing." he said hugging her tighter,

"You better get to work." she said letting go and handing him two pieces of fruit. Les walked out into the dining room sleepily. Davey grabbed him and put him on his back, handed him the fruit and walked out the door. He walked all the way to the square to find it empty, that was odd.

"Happy Mother's Day Mama!" the newsies shouted popping out behind him. They all ran smushing him and Les in a hug,

"We love you Mama." they said,

"I love you guys too."
