Simple Observations

Jackson will never cease to amaze Chloe. Even though they are amongst killer hybrid animals in a rapidly changing world, he still manages to notice the small, perhaps trivial, details about his girlfriend.

"You're yawning more today than normal. Did you not sleep well last night, Chloe?" he sweetly inquires on the days when Chloe can barely keep her crystal blue eyes open.

Instead of saying she looks sick without make-up on, Jackson Oz instead compliments his girlfriend's enhanced natural beauty. He is not a simple man, but it makes Chloe Tousignant feel even more loved and appreciated to know that her zoologist boyfriend is so in tune with the simple parts of his life.

"Is that a new perfume?" Jackson groggily inquires, wiping sleep out of his chocolate-colored eyes as he shuffles into the plane's kitchen.

"Yes," Chloe smiles widely as Jackson presses a light kiss to her cheek. "Jamie got it for me as a birthday present," she reveals.

"Well, it makes you even more irresistible," the safari guide admits, moving to stand by the refrigerator. "Shall I make us pancakes for breakfast?"

"That sounds amazing, Jackson," Chloe agrees.

Simplicity is not always lackluster; sometimes it is heartwarming.
