Shadow walker

There was a series of cracks as a troupe of aurors appeared out of apparition at the gates of the school. Their red combat cloaks swirling as they took off on a run towards the school. At the head of the group was Director bones. All of her emotions slammed to the back of her mind as her professional personality took over.

As the group ran the briefing of what was known and likely was being shouted out to the officers, letting them know what to expect. "We have multiple people armed at the site of the incident. This includes former and current law enforcement personnel on both sides of the incident" she shouted.

"One confirmed dead, killed by the hands of ICW Enforcer". This caused a ripple of shock. " It was said enforcer that summoned us." she continued further confusing the officers as they moved towards the doors "expect a fragile situation."

At the arrival at the great hall's doors the Aurors lined up ready to enter. On a count they forced the doors and rushed in with their wands drawn. As expected it was a tense situation. The staff at the table were almost universally pointing their wands at the enforcer who was standing in the center of the hall in what appeared to be a relaxed stance holding a pair of spears.

One look at her eyes though told a different story. Eyes that were taking in every detail, observing every slight movement of any possible threat. These spoke of a level of combat experience that was unheard of. To be so ready for combat yet so relaxed.

"WHAT IS GOING ON HERE!" Amelia bellowed as her men took up suppression positions. Ready to intervene if the need for it is required. The volume and authority of her voice caused more than a few to flinch at what was to come. The one exception being the enforcer who had a smirk on her face. Which did nothing but irritate Amelia.

It was here that a Bright red Minister Fudge found his voice. "Amelia i want that...that… that… woman arrested for murder!" he almost screamed in a voice tainted with panic. A finger shakily pointing at the Lady Le fay. Drawing more eyes towards the woman in purple whose shoulders had started to shudder. Then burst out into actual laughter, a light melodious sound that echoed pleasantly through the hall. "Ohh i am sorry minister but i must have misheard you, I thought you just tried to have me arrested?" The woman asked in a faux innocent voice.

"Of course you Dark witch, You just killed someone!" he screeched causing a few people to cover their ears to protect their hearing. Amelia raised an eyebrow in question and at the reactions of the people in front of her. The potter lord had a snarl on his face, the headmaster seemed to have a look of …. Satisfaction? There was rage there as well. The one that confused her the most was the lady Le Fay she seemed to have a look of amusement about the entire situation.

"Lady Le Fay did you kill someone?" This question was met with a derisive snort. The woman turned her head to look at the body pinned to the wall and then back to the group of law enforcement. "Ofcourse, It is part of my job." the woman replied in a calm and collected tone. The effect of which unnerved the people in the hall and reminded them of just whom they were dealing with. An enforcer, the agents and executioners of the ICW.

The uproar over the fact that she had blatantly admitted her guilt in front of everyone seemed to annoy Lady Le Fay if her frown was anything to go by so it was no surprise to Amelia that she furthered her statement to explain her reasons for her actions. She would not be an Agent of the law if she did not act with probable cause.

With a small huff "well i see that i am not believed. Very well Lady Bones why don't you have one of your men go check the corpses hip flask and tell the audience what it contains. I can wait." came the enforcers reply. Seeing no other choice As it would hold the key to the entire situation she signaled for one of her people, Auror Tonks, to check.

The young officer moved up to the body and looked for the canteen. Upon finding it cast spells on the item as Moody was a known paranoid, it would not be unknown for him to have trapped the item. Upon coming up clear she took it and flipped it open and took a sniff, she was instantly hit with a disgusting smell. This was no fire whiskey.

Moving to the healer to get an answer they got it almost immediately "Polyjuice potion." came out the rattled voice of madam pomfrey. To the hall, shocking them and causing a smile across the enforcers face as it proved her words.

Turning on her heel and in a blur of red, as the twin spears were spun into a resting position. The enforcer turned her back to those whom she had been facing off against and headed towards the door.

When reaching Amelia's side the woman turned her head to the side and spoke. "I am going to search his office, I will send you my report in the morning, a copy of which will be relayed to both the queen and the ICW." With that She disappeared out the large doors leaving the DMLE to do the job of taking down the statements and clearing up the mess.

Amelia Bones was not a happy woman. She was not in the mood for anyone's nonsense after this. Not only do they have to deal with the fact that the ICW enforcer had to deal with a problem that should not have existed but she also has to deal with the idiots trying to arrest someone with diplomatic immunity. No She was not amused.

Flipping her knife in her hand, Lillith could not help but be amused at the fact that she had just essentially dumped her mess onto the poor Aurors laps. So here she was walking through the ancient corridors of the castle walking towards the defence department. Having memorized the new class layout when she first arrived, she walked up to the door of the imposters room.

Looking at what would normally appear to be a plain panel of wood, however to her trained eyes she could see the fluctuations and flows of the mana in the air indicating a barrier. A ward on the door barring entrance. Pulling out her wand she started her diagnostics. Locking wards, structural integrity spells, there were some nasty intruder wards as well.

With a raised eyebrow she read the results of her scan before she started to use her rune magic to dispel them. The primordial runes having the strength of magic as that from the age of the gods it would easily over power most spells.

With the door open she stalked in her eyes taking in the dark surroundings. Filled with intricate devices and books she made her way through the room looking through its contents. Invisibility cloaks. sneako scopes. A wide variety of potions for all uses, from healing to interrogation. It was certainly an interesting room.

The last thing to check was the trunk. Drawing an unlocking rune on the first lock. She opened it to see clothes. Repeating the process for all of the seven locks she came across the final one. Upon opening it led into a pit out of which moans could be heard. Jumping in She landed on the dusty ground in front of a wounded old man. A doppelganger of the one she had impaled earlier.

Using the knife she had been absentmindedly playing with she broke the chain and lifted the man from the ground before calling her shadows and they were swiftly carried towards the halls of healing.

Laying the man down on a bed she set to work. Using a rune to put him under. She drew her wand and began using parsel, the language boosting the strength and accuracy of her healing spells. Knitting the flesh back together, healing bones and beginning the process of muscle regeneration. By the time she had finished the school healer was entering.

Lilith however was too tired to care having not only used gae bolg, dispelled wards and healed a severely injured man. She was going to sleep. So after that she walked towards the doors and to bed. It had been a long day!

"What are we going to do Albus!?" came the frantic question from the minister. It was truly understandable he had just wata man be executed before his eyes. " I am not sure Cornelious" the headmaster replied with a frown etched into his face.

It was here that the door opened drawing the eyes of all of the teachers that had congregated within the office to discuss what had just occurred within the walls. Entering the room was Director bones. "Headmaster, minister" she said, nodding to each in sequence.

"Amelia" they replied to the stern woman, "my dear may we please know the results of the analysis?" requested the headmaster of the woman. Amelia glared at the man as he knew that she was forbidden from releasing the details of a case. "Since it is to do with the security of the students I will tell you a general overview but nothing more. This is still an active investigation."

"The Enforcer is innocent of all charges, even without her immunities." she said to the shock of the room. "What? But she killed a man!" shouted one of the people in the room. "She used dark magic to do it!" James Potter added.

At this Amelia shook her head. "The man killed was a legal execution under ICW warrant. As for the magic used, It has been legally classified as 'Family magic'. This protects it from scrutiny unless you wish to log a complaint against the entire wizengamot including the lady Le Fay." the people in the room looked as if a rotten fish had been placed under their nose.

"I will forward a copy of Lady Le fays report which should shed more light on the situation." and with that she left the silent room behind. She had more important things to do than to get caught up in pointless politics.

Evan had snuck off to the library as soon as he could after the incident in the hall. He needed information. All they knew was that the enforcers were a form of law enforcement used by the ICW. Using the family cloak to raid the school library for any information about them. It took him some time but he eventually did find a book about it.

Formation of the Enforcers

The enforcer corps was created by the ICW in response to the threat to the wizarding world that was Gellert grindelwald. Knowing of the possibility of such a person coming to power again the ICW decided to create a force of wizards able to intervene and stop any such person, or contain them only to their country of origin.

There were few exceptions to the agreement in the corps creation, most notably being Albus Dumbledore, saying that the ICW was 'over compensating' and that it was 'over reaching' its authority despite the fact that the agents required the country's permission to operate within their borders.

The agents were drawn from the best around the world and are under secrecy spells for the safety of those that know them. It has been noted however that the amount of successful dark or light lords that attempt to rise and take over has fallen drastically since the formation of the enforcers.

It is ironic then that the peace that has come about due to this can be attributed directly to gellert grindelwald as it was in direct response to him that actions such as the creation of the Corps happened.

Evan closed the book stunned. What did that mean about You- know -who. Could he have been dealt with earlier? Could the ICW have handled the Death eaters during the first war? It did say that the enforcers needed to be invited in. but they had never been here before, does that mean that the ministry has banned the enforcers?

Taking the book he ran back to the tower. There was a lot to think about and not enough to go on.
