Here it is, the conclusion of Ash VS Sabrina! So what's going to happen? I think Ash may have forgotten about something with Greninja that can really help him a lot. Just remember, it can only get him so far.
What am I saying, just enjoy the chapter as I do not own Pokémon!
Saffron City-Saffron Gym
Ash needed to be extremely cautious as one wrong move will lead to his doom. Greninja took in a deep breath and looked on with determination. He was going to need careful with what he does as he was Ash's last Pokémon. Greninja wasn't going to have to beat Espeon, but two other Pokémon to follow in order to win.
"Greninja use Water Shuriken!" Ash called out.
"Psybeam," Sabrina muttered.
Greninja prepared a Water Shuriken while Espeon shot a Psybeam from the gem on her head. Greninja jumped up into the air to evade the attack and threw the Water Shuriken right where Espeon was.
"Copycat," Sabrina uttered.
"Copycat?" Ash said in confusion.
Espeon was now gathering water and forming it into a shuriken. No way, Espeon was about to use Water Shuriken?
"Greninja get out of the way!" Ash cried out.
Espeon threw her Water Shuriken at Greninja, but Greninja got out of the way. How was he going to get Espeon? Ash didn't want to go for a direct attack because then Greninja would fall right into another psychic trap. Not to mention all of Sabrina's Pokémon seem to know the move Psychic, so Espeon may know that move too.
"Maybe I can try to fool Espeon and Greninja can get a good look," Ash said to himself, "Greninja use Double Team!"
Greninja started to make copies of himself surrounding Espeon. The Sun Pokémon was now surrounded not knowing which Greninja was the real one.
"Once Sabrina starts to try and attack Greninja, I can have him try and surprise Espeon with a Night Slash," Ash thought to himself.
Sabrina looked on and muttered two words.
"Expanding Force," Sabrina muttered.
What did Sabrina say? Ash was wondering if that was a move she commanded her Espeon to use. Then he got his answer.
Espeon started to glow purple and surround herself into a beam. Then, the beam surrounding her started to spread out across the room. This must've been an attack.
"Quick Greninja, get back!" Ash cried.
Greninja started to jump back as the copies began to disappear. The beam across the room began to die down and Greninja just out of the way in time. Ash was in shock, he never heard of that attack before.
"Man, that was close. I never seen such an attack before," Ash muttered to himself.
Greninja was now standing on his feet breathing heavily. Espeon surprised Greninja good. Ash really wished he had Rotom Dex right now so he can know more about Sabrina's Pokémon.
"Swift," Sabrina muttered.
"Hurry Greninja, dodge it!" Ash called out.
Espeon fired off a whole lot of stars at Greninja. He was able to evade the attack, but he couldn't evade these attacks forever. It was only a matter of time before Ash made a mistake. Espeon had her eyes set on Greninja and Sabrina called out her next move.
"Psychic," Sabrina muttered.
Espeon's eyes glowed blue and Greninja was caught in a blue aura. Ash fell to the ground and slammed his fists. It happened again. Greninja was caught in Espeon's Psychic attack. How was he going to get out of this one?
"What am I going to do," Ash said to himself as he started to panic.
Greninja was engulfed in Espeon's attack…but something was wrong. He was actually fine. He wasn't trapped or getting compressed, in fact it was like nothing was happening.
"What's going on? Why isn't it working," Sabrina uttered as she felt shocked.
Ash took a look and saw that Greninja was moving around, and he was feeling perfectly fine. Ash was in total shock! He was so caught up in what was at stake and the terrifying powers of Sabrina's psychic Pokémon that he completely forgot about something.
Greninja was part dark type! He was immune to psychic attacks.
"I completely forgot, Greninja is a dark type. Those psychic attacks can't hurt him. Wait, now's not the time to be thinking, I got to act!" Ash thought to himself as he then called out to Greninja, "Quick Greninja use Night Slash!"
Greninja smirked right at Espeon. Her eyes were clearly focusing on Greninja, but her Psychic attack wasn't working. Then to her horror, Greninja charged at her with a glowing purple blade and smacked her right in the head. Espeon was sent flying to the wall. There was no time, Greninja needed to get the job done.
"Now use Water Pulse!" Ash commanded.
Greninja got his hands together and unleashed a wave of water right at Espeon. The Sun Pokémon tried to get up, but Greninja's Water Pulse pushed her back. Now it was time for the finale.
"Acrobatics!" Ash called out.
Greninja jumped right at Espeon and started to front flip right on her face. Espeon fell to the ground and went out in a daze.
"Espeon is unable to battle! Greninja wins!" the eye announced.
Greninja got up on his feet and took a deep breath. Greninja himself even forgot that he was part dark type which gives him a huge edge over all of Sabrina's Psychic Pokémon. Things may turn out alright after all. He just needed to beat her next two Pokémon and it was over.
Sabrina called back her Espeon and replaced her Pokeball with another Pokeball. Sabrina did feel a presence behind the doors that Ash was in front of but chose to ignore it.
Behind those doors was none Sabrina's father. He has been listening in on the battle and using his own telekinetic powers to watch the battle without having to go in himself. He saw Ash go in to challenge Sabrina and truth to be told, he was worried for both of them.
He was worried that Ash and his friends could be tortured by his daughter for eternity, and he was worried that nothing would bring her daughter back. Sabrina's father didn't want to go in as he was afraid of her attacking him which would cause her to lose another person who loved her, and nothing would save her.
"I know you're trying to win a battle young man, but it may take a lot more than a victory against my daughter to save her," Sabrina's father said.
"Come out Mr. Mime," Sabrina uttered as the Pokeball opened.
The Pokeball revealed what appeared to be a clown looking mime. He was pink with stick arms and legs, glove looking hands, and blue hair sticking out on the sides of its head.
Ash can recall his mom now taking care of a Mime Jr. herself, and according to Rotom Dex, this is what Mime Jr. would evolve into after learning the move Mimic. However, he also learned that Mr. Mime was part fairy type too, and now that he knew about Greninja's dark type which would help him endure Psychic attacks, he would be vulnerable to fairy type attacks which he would be weak too.
"Are you ready Greninja?" Ash asked Greninja.
"Greninja!" Greninja responded.
"And begin!" the eye announced.
"Greninja use Quick Attack!" Ash called out.
Greninja darted towards Mr. Mime. The Barrier Pokémon stood there awaiting Greninja.
"Reflect," Sabrina muttered.
Mr. Mime waved his hands and created a barrier in which Greninja ran into. The Ninja Pokémon was knocked back by the force of the collision.
"Alright, use Water Pulse," Ash told Greninja.
"Light Screen," Sabrina muttered.
Mr. Mime waved his hands again and created another barrier, but this time it blocked off Greninja's Water Pulse. Great, now Mr. Mime knew two attacks that could block off Greninja's attacks.
"Thunderbolt," Sabrina muttered.
"What the," Ash said in shock.
Mr. Mime was gathering electricity and shot it right off at Greninja. Ash couldn't believe it. This Mr. Mime actually knew Thunderbolt.
"Greninja look out!" Ash retorted.
But it was too late, Greninja was being electrocuted by Mr. Mime's surprise attack. Just because psychic attacks were out of the question didn't mean other attacks were. Greninja stood up on his feet after taking some damage like that.
"Dazzling Gleam," Sabrina muttered.
"Dodge it!" Ash called out.
Mr. Mime created light pink energy and fired it off at Greninja. Ash knew that Dazzling Gleam was a dark type attack which Greninja was weak too. Greninja jumped out of the way and Ash called out his next move.
"Now use Water Shuriken!" Ash commanded.
"Reflect," Sabrina muttered.
Greninja gathered more water and formed it into a shuriken and threw it right at Mr. Mime. The Barrier Pokémon however waved his hands and protected himself with Reflect once more. It was hard to get Greninja's attacks past those defenses.
"Use Water Pulse again!" Ash called out.
"Light Screen," Sabrina muttered.
Greninja threw another watery wave at Mr. Mime, but like before, Mr. Mime used Light Screen to cancel out Greninja's Water Pulse. Ash was gritting his teeth as he was having a hard time with those two attacks.
"Thunderbolt," Sabrina muttered.
"Greninja dodge it," Ash called out.
Mr. Mime unleashed his Thunderbolt, but Greninja evaded the attack this time. Greninja got back on his feet and now Ash was starting to think.
"Man, despite Greninja being a dark time, Mr. Mime is making it harder with Thunderbolt and Dazzling Gleam. What's worse, I can't do anything as long as Mr. Mime uses Reflect or Light Screen. How am I going to get past that?" Ash thought to himself.
Ash was standing there thinking about what he was going to do. How could he get Greninja to get past those attacks? Ash stood there thinking about what he could get Greninja to do, and then it hit him.
Mr. Mime has to wave his hands every time he uses Reflect or Light Screen, but he can't when he is too focused on using another attack. Ash figured the best thing he can do is get Mr. Mime to go on the offense.
"I think I know what to do," Ash thought to himself.
Ash looked around to see Greninja standing to his left and awaiting Mr. Mime to use another attack.
"Alright Greninja, use Smokescreen!" Ash called out.
The Ninja Pokémon started to cover the entire battlefield in smoke to hide himself. Mr. Mime couldn't make a visual of where Greninja was, but Sabrina could.
"Followed by Double Team!" Ash commanded.
Greninja started to make copies of himself all across the battlefield. As the smoke cleared, Mr. Mime was seeing a whole bunch of Greninja copies in a battle stance.
"Now use Water Shuriken!" Ash called out.
"Reflect," Sabrina muttered.
The Greninja copies unleashed their Water Shurikens, but it was hard to tell which one was the real one. That wasn't a problem as Mr. Mime waved his hands and created another Reflect to block off all the Water Shurikens.
"Dazzling Gleam," Sabrina muttered.
Ash may have figured out that Dazzling Gleam takes up most of the battlefield, so Sabrina plan to find the real Greninja quicker. What she may not know is that Dazzling Gleam can take some time to charge, and that's when Ash made the next move.
"Smokescreen again!" Ash called out.
Greninja covered the whole battlefield in smoke. It was one thing for Mr. Mime to not know where the real Greninja was, but now the battlefield was covered in smoke. The Barrier Pokémon prepared to fire the attack, but that's when…
"Hydro Pump," Ash responded.
A blast of water came from the smoke and struck Mr. Mime in his mid-section. The Dazzling Gleam was let loose, and luckily it wasn't coming at Greninja. Mr. Mime was slammed to the wall, now subdued. Ash smirked as he now called out the next move.
"Ice Beam!" Ash shouted.
Greninja blasted an Ice Beam right at the now dazed Mr. Mime and completely froze him. Now to make sure Mr. Mime was down and out, Greninja listened to Ash for what should be the final blow.
"Finish it with Smack Down!" Ash commanded.
Greninja jumped up into the air and dived down at the frozen Pokémon. Greninja's arms began to act like a hammer and smashed onto the frozen Mr. Mime. The Barrier Pokémon was barely conscious and then he fell flat on the floor, and out of commission.
"Mr. Mime is unable to battle! Greninja wins!" the eye announced.
Ash was starting to feel confident now as Greninja has scored him two wins. All Ash needed to do was have Greninja beat her last Pokémon and it would be all over. Ash wouldn't be surprised if Sabrina brought out her Kadabra again. If she did, this would be a great chance for Greninja to get payback.
Sabrina recalled Mr. Mime, but then to Ash's surprise, she didn't bring a Pokeball out. Instead, she just continued to stare at Ash with that cold unsettling stare. Was she angry, or was she about to get more serious? Then Sabrina did something that neither he nor Greninja expected.
She turned around and began to levitate out of the room.
"What's going on?" Ash asked.
"I'm getting prepared for the final battle," Sabrina answered as she left the room.
"What do you mean getting prepared for the final battle?" Ash asked, "Where are you going?"
"Stop right there!" the eye echoed as the flame around it began to intensify.
Sabrina was now gone and Ash and Greninja were now focused on the terrifying demon eye that has served as their judge throughout the match. It narrowed in on the two with a high sense of authority.
"I just don't understand what Sabrina is doing," Ash stuttered.
"Sabrina is setting up for the final showdown between your Greninja and her last Pokémon. She will return in about five minutes. Consider yourself lucky as I would advise this as a chance for your Greninja to regain his strength. He will need it for what's coming," the eye explained while giving out that echo.
Well this might seem a little generous for such a cold girl. Ash and Greninja were given time to rest up before her last Pokémon. Usually the trainers, gym leaders, elite four members, and champions would begin the final battle immediately, but Sabrina on the other hand, she wanted to give Ash time.
What could Sabrina do to prepare for the final matchup?
Then the door opened behind Ash. Ash heard the squeaking of the door and saw who it was that opened it. He was surprised to see that he was here. It was Sabrina's father.
Ash wondered what her father was doing here in such a dangerous environment. Not to mention that eye could vaporize him at any moment, even though it hasn't done anything. But related to Sabrina's telekinesis, it wouldn't be a surprise.
"So the battle has reached its climax," Sabrina's father said.
Ash looked at Sabrina's father with curiosity. He must've learned just now that he has been watching the whole battle from behind.
"You've been watching?" Ash asked as Greninja came to his side.
"I have using my own psychic powers to see what's been going on, and I must say you've done an amazing job," Sabrina's father praised.
"I wouldn't say that if I were you," Ash muttered.
"So you may have lost five Pokémon, and Greninja is all you have left. The point is you're still standing, and you've gotten my daughter to her last Pokémon," Sabrina's father commented.
Ash knew Sabrina's father was right. He shouldn't feel so negative because of all of his unpreparedness. In fact he should be grateful that even though most of his team had little experience combined along with Ivysaur's rouge behavior, his Pokémon gave it their all and got Ash this far.
He shouldn't doubt himself he was thankful to have such great Pokémon. Lapras even poured her heart out in the battle after recently dealing with two traumatizing events. Ash should be thankful his Pokémon got him here. Maybe Sabrina's father was right, maybe he did have something that could help save Sabrina.
"You're right," Ash said with determination, "I'm sure I can win and save Sabrina."
Ash then paused as he then remembered that last thing he just said.
"You said I had something that might help me reach out to Sabrina, do you know what it is?" Ash asked Sabrina's father.
"Well if this battle proves it, it's the heart of a champion," Sabrina's father confirmed.
"Is this because I'm the former champion's son?" Ash questioned.
"We'll all I can say is, like father like son," Sabrina's father said.
Was that it? Does it really take the heart of a champion to reach out to Sabrina? Gary beat her for the Marsh Badge, and she was still the cold girl she is, and his father is the current champion of Kanto. Then again, that title was handed to him rather than earned. Did that mean Ash's father never felt the champion status leave him and it still resides in his son?
Right now wasn't the time to think about that, the focus should remain on the battle.
Saffron Gym-Sabrina's Toybox
The room was dark and there was a giant toybox with a model town in it. Inside one of the houses were four dolls. One resemble a honey blonde girl with a pink hat, a Pikachu, a Munchlax with a red hat, and what appeared to be a Rotom in a different form.
It was Serena, Pikachu, Munchlax, and Rotom Dex and all of them were dolls. Serena was sitting on a couch with Rotom Dex while Pikachu and Munchlax were on the floor. While they showed no movement, they still felt scared for their lives.
"Serena, what do you think is going to happen to us?" Rotom Dex asked.
"I don't know, I've never been a doll before," Serena answered.
"I don't think I even like dolls," Rotom Dex said.
"I do, I even got a set of them at home," Serena said as she referred to the dolls she received from the Princess Day festival.
The dolls were actually vibrating whenever they spoke. Then Munchlax was starting to shake as he said something.
"Munch, Munch, Munchlax?" Munchlax asked.
"Munchlax is asking are we going to be stuck this way forever," Rotom Dex said translating what Munchlax said.
"That depends, it's up to Sabrina," another doll responded.
None of them were able to turn their heads, but it was no surprise there was another person in the room who turned into a doll. The woman doll had brown hair with bangs and wore a green shirt, orange shrug, long red skirt, and pink socks.
"Pika Pika," Pikachu responded.
"Pikachu said that other doll just spoke," Rotom Dex said.
"It's nice to have company, I'm Sabrina's mother," the doll said as she referred to herself as Sabrina's mother.
"Her mother!" Rotom Dex exclaimed.
"She turned you into a doll too?" Serena asked.
"Please don't think badly of Sabrina, she's a really good daughter," Sabrina's mother said.
Then the roof on the house came off. All of them were wondering what that could be. Well they couldn't see since they can't move, but just give small vibrations.
Sabrina was looking down at the doll house and glared at them. Even though they can't move, the group knew that had to be Sabrina.
"Sabrina no!" Serena exclaimed as she tried to be brave, "Listen, I'm not aiming for the Pokémon League like my boyfriend, but I challenge you to a match! If I win, you change us back!"
Sabrina didn't give a response. She just continued to look down at the doll and focused on all of them.
"I'm not challenging you, but I have come for you," Sabrina told the Serena doll.
"Come for us, for what?" Serena asked while whimpering.
"Are we going to play house?" Rotom Dex questioned.
"Pikachu?" Pikachu asked with a whimper.
"Munchlax," Munchlax growled.
Sabrina began to use her telekinesis and levitate the four dolls. None of the dolls said a thing. They were all just wondering right now what was going to happen. Sabrina left the room and the four dolls were being brought along with her.
Saffron Gym-Battlefield
It's been almost five minutes and Ash and Greninja were still waiting on Sabrina. Sabrina's father was starting to feel a disturbing presence.
"Sabrina is returning, I must go," Sabrina's father said.
"You're leaving," Ash responded.
"If I stay, she could turn me into a doll just like your friends," Sabrina's father stated, "And her mother."
Ash gasped when Sabrina's father said that. Did Sabrina really turn her mother into a doll? Has her psychic powers really overtaken her whole mind? With that, Sabrina's father left the room quickly as possible.
Then to Ash's expense, Sabrina came back into the room and what Ash saw was a nightmare. It was his girlfriend, his best friend, his pseudo son, and Rotom Dex all turned into dolls.
"Ash! Greninja!" Serena cried out as they were placed on Sabrina's throne.
Ash knew it was his fault that they turned into dolls, if he didn't run away and just accepted the match from the beginning, then they would still be their normal selves right now.
Ash then turned back and accepted this battle in hopes of turning them back to normal. Now only one Pokémon stands between him and getting his friends back to normal. He knew that if he and Greninja can work together, they can beat Sabrina's last Pokémon.
"I brought them back here so they can watch me humiliate you," Sabrina said.
"I will not be humiliated!" Ash declared.
Serena couldn't show it on her face, but if she could, she would shed a tear for Ash. There he was being so brave, coming to their rescue. Despite being scared of Sabrina's psychic powers, Ash was not going to leave his friends behind. No, he was going to fight for them.
"Sit back and watch your friend lose," Sabrina said as her eyes shifted towards the throne.
Serena, Pikachu, Rotom Dex, and Munchlax were all going to cheer Ash on, even if they were dolls. Ash was now feeling more confident than ever now that his friends were here.
Sabrina then levitated another Pokeball in front of her. In that Pokeball was Sabrina's final Pokémon. Ash and Greninja just had this strange feeling that the same Kadabra could be in there. They could feel it.
"You may remember this Pokémon," Sabrina uttered.
They all gasped. It was Kadabra after all! Greninja can remember the humiliation that Pokémon gave him along with the back spasms. It a complete load of crap that Delphox can't be out to watch this, but Greninja was going to win this for her.
"Sabrina, release your final Pokémon," the eye told Sabrina.
The Pokeball levitated and it opened up. Ash and Greninja were ready to see Kadabra, but to their horrors…that was not a Kadabra. This Pokémon looked, bigger.
He was a humanoid creature that had gold skin with a brown upper body that nearly resembled armor, brown cuffs on his wrists, and brown kneecaps. His head had ear spikes and a long gold mustache flowing across his face, and held two silver spoons, one in each hand. That was no Kadabra.
"That's not a Kadabra…THAT'S AN ALAKAZAM!" Rotom Dex screamed in terror.
Sabrina ignored the screams from Rotom Dex. Since Rotom Dex was a doll, it was not able to do an analysis on the Pokémon.
Ash and Greninja were looking on with completely worry. So this same Pokémon who knocked Greninja silly was standing there, and he evolved on top of that. Ash took a deep breath and looked at Greninja.
"Listen Greninja, like I said, we can win this if we work together," Ash told Greninja.
"Greninja," Greninja responded.
Greninja took a deep breath himself and got into a battle stance. He and Ash have come this far, and it was not time for them to quit just yet. For everyone's sake, they were going to beat Alakazam.
Alakazam on the other hand focused on the Ninja Pokémon right in front of him. He can recall the last meeting they had together. Now both of them have evolved during that time, and Alakazam would make sure he got his seconds.
"The final match to determine the winner begins…NOW!" the eye announced.
While Ash knew that Alakazam was the evolved form of that same Kadabra, Ash can recall his training with Serena's Kadabra. All of Kadabra's attacks were psychic type and since Greninja was a dark type, this could be a walk in the park as long as he was careful.
"Future Sight," Sabrina muttered.
Alakazam raised his spoons and looked into Greninja's eyes. Greninja stood there wondering what was going on. Ash wasn't quite caught on with what Alakazam just did. Now wasn't the time to think about that, now was the time to attack.
"Alright Greninja, go after Alakazam with Quick Attack followed by Night Slash!" Ash called out.
Greninja dashed forward and charged at Alakazam with Quick Attack.
"Reflect," Sabrina muttered.
And here she goes again. Alakazam uses Reflect to block Greninja's Quick Attack. The Ninja Pokémon bounced off, but he was still going to deliver his Night Slash. Reflect was still in play as Greninja tried to use his glowing purple blade to break through.
"Miracle Eye," Sabrina muttered.
Alakazam unleashed an eye in front of Greninja as he tried to use Night Slash. The eye engulfed Greninja in a pink aura and then it disappeared. Ash wondered what just happened as Greninja hopped back since his Night Slash wasn't working.
"What was that?" Ash questioned.
"Confusion," Sabrina uttered.
Alakazam now engulfed Greninja in a blue aura and held him in place. Ash gasped at what was happening. Greninja was in a bind of a psychic attack.
"Greninja!" Ash called out as he glared at Sabrina, "What's going on! Greninja is a dark type Pokémon, how is he being controlled by Alakazam with his psychic attacks?"
"It was all because of Miracle Eye," Sabrina answered.
"You mean that move Alakazam used while Greninja was attacking?" Ash asked.
"Allow me to explain!" the eye announced as it drew Ash's attention, "Sabrina figured that Greninja was a dark type after Espeon's Psybeam did nothing. So when Alakazam came out, she made sure to have him use Miracle Eye, a move that rids dark type Pokémon of their psychic immunity."
Ash stood there in shock as Alakazam slammed Greninja to the wall. Apparently Miracle Eye just wiped out the one lone advantage Ash had against Sabrina's psychic Pokémon. Now Greninja was vulnerable to Alakazam's psychic attacks. If they hurt as a Kadabra, imagine what an Alakazam can do.
Greninja slumped down and got on his knees. He was able to get back up and glare at Alakazam. Great, now because of Miracle Eye, he can hurt him now. Can this get any worse?
Then a burst of light came at Greninja and, BAM!
"Greninja!" Ash cried.
Greninja then fell on his back as he was hit by nothing. Alakazam didn't even do anything!
"Looks like Future Sight came through," Sabrina said.
So that's what it was. Future Sight was the preparations of an attack which would come towards the Pokémon in due time. Greninja was struggling with Alakazam right now.
"Confusion again," Sabrina muttered.
Alakazam lifted Greninja back up with his Confusion attack and started to twist his body in awkward directions. Ash was horrified at what he was seeing. It was happening again, and it appears it's going to be worse.
Then Alakazam's eyes glowed blue and Greninja was slammed up onto the ceiling. It was definitely happening again, and this time it would prove to be costly.
"Greninja no!" Ash cried out.
Greninja couldn't let this happen. Ash got this far, and he refused to let him down. Here he was taking out two of Sabrina's Pokémon and getting to her last one, and now he was right back where he was.
As Greninja continued to get slammed onto the ceiling and back onto the floor, the Ninja Pokémon tried to think of a way to get out of this. While Ash was his trainer, he also had to think of a way to fight back. He was a Pokémon who had his own thought.
Despite the continuous slamming, Greninja was smiling. He knew he was stronger, and it was just about time to show that Alakazam how much stronger he has become. He would've used Ice Beam, but he still remembered Alakazam's Synchronize ability, so he didn't want to chance being frozen. He did have another idea.
When Greninja was on the floor and Alakazam threw him back up, Greninja used his muscle and prepared to toughen through the blows. He went back onto the floor before being thrown back onto the ceiling when suddenly, Greninja shot out a Water Pulse right at Alakazam.
"Greninja, you broke out," Ash muttered in shock.
Greninja overpowered Alakazam's confusion and the Water Pulse hit the Psi Pokémon. Alakazam was pushed back but not right before Greninja came in with Quick Attack before Alakazam could make a move.
"Keep going Greninja!" Ash cheered.
Greninja then finally started to repeatedly slash Alakazam with multiple Night Slashes until he was on his knees. Greninja needed to hurry up before Alakazam could use Recover.
"Water Shuriken!" Ash retorted.
Greninja got out a Water Shuriken and threw it right at Alakazam's chest and it sent him flying towards the wall. The Psi Pokémon was surprisingly still conscious after all of those blows from Greninja. Ash and Greninja gasped as they felt a link.
"That Alakazam is stronger than we thought," Ash uttered.
"Let's stop right here," Sabrina said.
This was a surprise. Sabrina stopped the match. Was she giving up or was this some sort of timeout?
"What do you mean stop right here? Alakazam isn't declared unable to battle. You can have him use Recover, can you?" Ash asked.
"And you're right challenger, Alakazam can still fight," the eye announced.
Ash turned around to see the glowing eye staring at him and Greninja. The eye narrowed towards the two.
"You see, Greninja did beat Alakazam, but that was only part one," the eye stated.
"Part one?" Ash questioned, "Wait, do I have to beat Alakazam more than once?!"
Sabrina gave Ash the cold stare. She clearly wasn't going to go easy on him.
"Yes, you and Greninja must beat the gym leader's Alakazam a second time," the eye answered.
Ash then turned towards Sabrina with an angry look. This didn't seem fair. It was one thing forcing him into a full battle without giving him a chance to prepare, but now to give one of her Pokémon a lifeline!
"Why does Alakazam have to be beaten twice? It's like you have seven Pokémon on you! If that's the case, then turn Pikachu back so he can battle!" Ash argued.
"You only can use six Pokémon, and you're on your last one!" Sabrina exclaimed as this was the first time she raised her voice.
Ash backed away as the glow from Sabrina got more intense. She then turned to the dolls and focused on Sabrina. There were two white sparkles, one on the wrist and another on her lower back. The two sparkles were lifted up into the air and turned into a silver bracelet and a gold marble.
"Those are mine," Serena argued as she continued to shake.
Ash gasped as he saw what Sabrina did. She just used her psychic powers to take her Mega Bracelet and Kadabra's Alakazamite.
"If this girl hadn't brought these in, then the match would've been over," Sabrina told Ash.
Now Ash knew what was going to happen. Sabrina caught on to her Keystone and the fact she had a corresponding Mega Stone for Alakazam. The Mega Stone went to the Psi Pokémon's head as he was about to get ready for the next round.
"The second part of the battle begins now. As for the leader's Alakazam, IT'S MORPHING TIME!" the eye exclaimed.
Sabrina used her telekinesis to activate the Keystone as it found the Alakazamite and Alakazam. The Psi Pokémon was now engulfed in a red aura and Ash and Greninja stood in horror as Alakazam proceeded to Mega Evolve.
The transformation of Alakazam was complete and everyone saw, Alakazam was a lot different. He looked like a sage as he sat Indian style with his brown part of his body now being purple. Another big difference was he now had a white beard and his head looked more like a star as he levitated five spoons in the air.
"I give you, Mega Alakazam," Sabrina muttered.
Now this was going to be a problem. It was likely that Greninja was still under the effects of Miracle Eye, and the psychic powers of this Pokémon has tended to go up drastically with his Mega Evolution. If Kadabra and Alakazam hurt, who knows what Mega Alakazam can do.
"Are you ready Greninja?" Ash asked Greninja.
Greninja was weakened badly. He just muscled out against regular Alakazam, and now he has to do the same crap with his mega evolved form! He's tired and now he has to tackle another beast. Then again, Greninja knew how strong he can be and refused to let Ash down.
"Greninja," Greninja responded.
"Thanks Greninja," Ash replied.
"Resume the match!" the eye announced.
"Recover," Sabrina muttered.
Probably knowing that Greninja needs to fight Mega Alakazam at full strength, she ordered a Recover and Mega Alakazam healed himself. Now Mega Alakazam looked good as new, or even newer.
"Psybeam," Sabrina muttered.
"Dodge it quick!" Ash called out.
Greninja took a deep breath and jumped out of the way.
"Teleport," Sabrina muttered.
While continuing to charge his Psybeam, Mega Alakazam teleported away from where he was and in front of Greninja. The Ninja Pokémon's eyes widened as Mega Alakazam unleashed his Psybeam right in front of him. Greninja screamed in pain.
"Greninja!" Ash cried out as he was feeling some pain himself too.
Greninja fell onto the floor and landed on his back. Was he about to get another back spasm, or worse, Mega Alakazam would actually break his back? The Psi Pokémon levitated in front of Greninja who tried to get up.
Greninja was getting up but he was weakened badly. Ash closed his eyes and gritted his teeth as he was feeling bits of Greninja's pain as well. He didn't want Greninja to be killed. He had to figure out how to get Greninja up and fast.
"Greninja use Smack Down on the ground and hurry!" Ash retorted in panic.
Greninja used his arms and slammed them on the ground to push himself back up. Ash took a deep breath and was relieved that Greninja got up, but how was he going to face this Pokémon's Mega Evolution. He couldn't go for a direct attack as it would result in Reflect which could also leave him open.
"Alright Greninja, lets try Double Team and then use Water Shuriken," Ash told Greninja.
It looks like Ash's best bet was for Greninja to use long ranged attack since if were to get up close and try to attack any of his close-range attacks like Smack Down and Night Slash, he would be wide open.
Greninja started to create many copies of himself and scattered them all across the battlefield. Mega Alakazam looked around with a glaze in his eye. Did he really think he could fool him?
"Calm Mind," Sabrina uttered.
Mega Alakazam took a deep breath and cleared his mind which allowed him to gain some focus. It was hard to figure out who the real Greninja was as they all threw a Water Shuriken, but he and Sabrina had it figured out.
"Expanding Force," Sabrina muttered.
There it was again, the same attack that Espeon used. A pink beam surrounded Mega Alakazam and spread across the room. All of the Water Shurikens, including the real one were cancelled out. With no time to evade, Greninja was screaming in pain as the copies faded as well. Greninja was sent flying onto the floor.
"No!" Ash cried out.
The dolls were not capable of showing emotion, but Serena, Pikachu, Rotom Dex, and Munchlax were all crying. Greninja was getting murdered by that Pokémon, and to make matters even worse, it was with Serena's own accessories!
"Please no," Serena choked up.
Sabrina levitated into the air. Ash was crying as his partner was now lying helplessly on the ground. Sabrina now ordered the final blow.
"Finish it with Psyshock, and make sure that Greninja is down for the count," Sabrina ordered.
Greninja was all shaken up and too weak to get up this time. He was still conscious but doesn't feel like he can keep going. Mega Alakazam levitated in front of him and raised his five spoons and delivered a powerful Psyshock.
Greninja was crying in pain as Mega Alakazam was now prepared to put him out of his misery. Ash couldn't hold it in as he had tears coming out of his eyes. He failed everyone. He failed Greninja, he failed Pikachu, he failed Munchlax, he failed Rotom Dex, and most importantly he failed Serena.
As Greninja was getting shocked by Mega Alakazam's attack, he too was crying as he just let Ash down in a battle with a lot at stake including his own life and free will. He let him down, and he knows that he let Delphox down along with Munchlax who Ash took in as his own pseudo son.
Both of them were feeling failure, both of them were feeling physical and emotional pain, and both of them wished they were stronger to stand up to Sabrina and Mega Alakazam. They didn't want it to end like this, they didn't want their journey to stop here. They wanted to create more memories with each other and their loved ones. They wished for a miracle so they can do that.
"We…refuse…TO LOSE!" Ash cried out as he suddenly was feeling a burst of strength.
Then all of a sudden, the two were feeling a strange mystical link. They almost felt like they were one, no they were one. While it didn't show on Ash, it did show on Greninja. There was water starting to surround him and the next thing that happened, a water cyclone surrounded him.
Mega Alakazam stopped his attack in shock and looked at the water cyclone. Serena and Rotom Dex looked at the water cyclone in shock, even though there wasn't any shock on their doll driven faces. Pikachu and Munchlax on the other hand were amazed as they saw this before…at the Silph Company with him and Delphox.
As the water cyclone died down, it was revealed that Greninja was standing back up, but feeling good as new. Ash was in amazement when he saw what stood on the battlefield. It was Greninja now resembling Ash.
Ash-Greninja returned!
"Is that the battle bond ability?" Sabrina's father asked in amazement as he watched the battle with his telekinesis.
"The bond phenomenon," Ash muttered in amazement.
"So you and your Pokémon can perform the battle bond," Sabrina muttered while she felt a bit shocked deep down.
"You mean bond phenomenon," Ash told Sabrina.
"They're actually the same thing, you can call it bond phenomenon or battle bond," Sabrina told Ash, "And now we're going to beat you, TOGETHER!"
So this marvel had another name, battle bond. Well it didn't matter, Ash and Greninja were now feeling stronger than ever and they were going to win together!
"No you won't," Sabrina responded, "Psybeam."
Mega Alakazam blasted a Psybeam right at Greninja, but Greninja raised his arm and blocked it this time rather than dodge it. Ash was now smirking as he and Greninja were now tougher. Sabrina was starting to feel a little shocked.
"Quick Attack," Ash calmly said.
Greninja dashed towards Mega Alakazam and dashed head on with the two strengths of Ash and Greninja together. He smashed into Alakazam with the force of three Tauros.
"Recover!" Sabrina called out.
Mega Alakazam started to use Recover to heal himself from that vicious blow. Ash and Greninja didn't care as they were ready for more.
"Use Double Team!" Ash commanded.
Greninja created multiple copies of himself all over the battlefield. There were more copies than usual as they looked more like a small army fleet rather than a group.
"Now use Night Slash!" Ash called out.
"Expanding Force!" Sabrina called out as she was starting to show some emotion.
Mega Alakazam engulfed himself in a pink beam and spread it across the battlefield. All of the Greninja copies dashed across the battlefield charging right into the attack. Ash toughened up as he and Greninja were ready to embrace Mega Alakazam's attack. The copies were being erased, and the real Greninja got hit, but he kept going.
Sabrina and Mega Alakazam's eyes widened as they saw Greninja coming for them. He muscled out the attack and his arms began to glow purple.
"Reflect!" Sabrina called out.
Mega Alakazam created a barrier to shield himself and Greninja slashed right at it with Night Slash. The battle bond Pokémon dug deep and started to crack that barrier. Greninja eventually broke the barrier and struck Mega Alakazam with Night Slash. The Psi Pokémon was sent flying across the floor.
"Recover!" Sabrina called out.
"I don't think so, use Ice Beam!" Ash commanded.
Ash and Greninja didn't care about that Synchronize ability as Greninja launched an Ice Beam right at Mega Alakazam. Before he could use Recover, the Ice Beam hit him, and he was completely frozen. He and Greninja were ready to deal with whatever was coming for them.
It never came though, Ash and Greninja were completely amazed to see that they weren't feeling frozen. If Ash could recall correctly, Professor Sycamore said that when a Pokémon mega evolves, it contained the possibility that it could change types and abilities. Was that the case for Mega Alakazam? Did he lose his Synchronize ability and it got replaced with a different ability? Now wasn't the time to think about that, it was time to win the fight!
"Smack Down and another Night Slash!" Ash called out.
Greninja charged at the frozen Mega Alakazam and used Smack Down to shatter the ice and then whipped the Psi Pokémon with another Night Slash slamming him to the wall.
"Use Water Shuriken!" Ash commanded.
Greninja was now gathering a whole lot of water and forming it into a shuriken. The Water Shuriken was much bigger than normal. Greninja narrowed his eyes at the weakened mega evolved Pokémon and was ready to end it. He threw the shuriken at Mega Alakazam's head while he was still in a daze.
A massive explosion was created and the whole area was up in smoke. Ash kept his eyes fixated on that spot, Greninja narrowed his eyes on that spot too. Sabrina just stared with that cold look on her face. Serena, Pikachu, Rotom Dex, and Munchlax were all just hoping that Greninja came through and that it was over.
Then as the smoke cleared, a marble rolled across the floor right at Greninja's foot. It was Serena's Alakazamite. Greninja looked ahead and saw that it wasn't Mega Alakazam, it was regular Alakazam. He was slumped down against the wall, not moving at all. He didn't look conscious. After waiting ten seconds, the call was made.
"Alakazam is unable to battle! Greninja wins! The challenger Ash Ketchum has won the match!" the eye announced.
Ash and Greninja both had one feeling running through their veins, pure happiness. Ash closed his eyes and shook his fists as he felt elasticity running in his body.
"We did it! We actually did it!" Ash hollered as he dashed onto the battlefield.
A water veil surrounded Greninja once more as he reverted to his original form. Greninja turned around and smiled at Ash who was charging at him with the force of a Tauros.
Ash gave Greninja the biggest hug possible as Greninja returned a hug as well. The two were cheerfully chuckling with joy as they embrace each other. It wasn't easy but they did it, they pulled through, overcame the odds, and defeated Sabrina.
As they were celebrating, a shadow loomed over them. The two turned around to see what it was, and their celebration was abruptly stopped. They were now feeling uneasy again as Sabrina was right in front of their faces still showing that cold expression, and she was holding what appeared to be a small gold circle.
"You've beaten me, take your badge," Sabrina told Ash.
Ash was feeling confused as he nervously took the badge out of Sabrina's fingertips. Ash looked at it and saw that was an official Marsh Badge, no tricks or anything.
"Now I would suggest you leave now," Sabrina uttered in a dark tone.
Ash's face was now heated with anger as he turned to the throne. His girlfriend and the other Pokémon were still on there in their doll states. He refused to leave them behind.
"What about our deal? I said if I won you turn my friends back to normal!" Ash argued.
"You heard Sabrina, leave before she changes her mind!" the eye hollered.
So all of this was for nothing! Ash and his Pokémon gave it everything to beat Sabrina in a full battle, and in return he only gets his badge. What about the others? More importantly, Sabrina's father said he can help her. But how?
As Ash and Greninja were shaking their fists feeling helpless with the situation, they were unaware that one of Ash's Pokeballs was wiggling. The ball burst open and the Pokémon came out.
"Haunter?" Ash questioned.
Haunter floated around Sabrina and began to laugh mischievously. The laugh was pretty loud as she continued to float around. Haunter was now making funny face and then rubbed his tongue round his face. Her eyes were now on her tongue as she juggled them around. Sabrina was looking confused on what Haunter was doing.
"Haunter," Ash called out.
"Wait…let's see what she's doing," the eye said.
Then Haunter pulled out a bomb that was about to go off. Ash and Greninja gasped at Haunter was doing. Where the fuck did he get a bomb from?! The bomb then exploded and when the smoke cleared, Sabrina was covered in soot. Haunter continued to laugh mischievously.
Sabrina continued to look at Haunter when something unexpected happen. Her mouth was starting to turn around and…she smiled.
"Is that a smile?" Ash questioned.
Sabrina's father teleported into the room. He witnessed what happened to Sabrina's mouth and he had to see it.
"She smiled," Sabrina's father said.
"Huh," Ash responded as he turned around to see Sabrina's father next to him.
Then the next thing that happened, Sabrina was starting to laugh, and Haunter was laughing with her. Ash and Greninja were now wondering what the heck was going on.
"Is that Sabrina laughing?" Ash questioned.
"Ever since started her telekinetic training as a little girl, I've never seen Sabrina laugh like this," Sabrina's father said as tears came from his eyes watching Sabrina laugh, "I've never seen her so happy in her entire life."
Ash and Greninja were amazed to see how Haunter was able to reach out to Sabrina. They thought beating her might have done something, but it never did. All this time, it was Haunter who served as the hero. The only question on their mind was why didn't she do this earlier?
As the dolls of Serena, Pikachu, Rotom Dex, and Munchlax watched on. They couldn't show it on their faces, but they would be shedding tears of joy.
"Does this mean he took her baby pictures too?" Rotom Dex asked as he shook.
"He's Sabrina's father not a photographer," Serena told Rotom Dex as she shook.
Sabrina's father looked at Ash with complete appreciation. He had lots of respect for Ash on confronting Sabrina again and helping her.
"I'm glad you came back, that Haunter has helped Sabrina rediscover the human part in her heart," Sabrina's father said.
"But Haunter was supposed to help beat Sabrina's psychic Pokémon. I didn't know she would end up making her laugh," Ash told Sabrina's father.
"Well Haunter helped both of you in a way," Sabrina's father stated.
Greninja then looked over to see that Alakazam was still out of his ball, but he was regaining consciousness. He was grunting a little bit, but then he started to laugh as well. Greninja tugged Ash's jacket and pointed at Alakazam which caught Ash's attention.
"I guess Alakazam is in pain because of us," Ash muttered.
"No he isn't, Alakazam and Sabrina are joined telepathically. Alakazam isn't crying in pain, he's sitting there laughing with Sabrina. If it weren't for that battle, he would be rolling around in laughter too," Sabrina's father explained, "It's almost like the connection you and your Greninja shared, only without the part of Alakazam resembling her."
It was a pretty great explanation that Sabrina's father gave to Ash. She and Alakazam seem to have a similar relation that Ash and Greninja have as they shared their emotions along with each other's pain. Ash would wish to know more about Sabrina's relation to her Alakazam so maybe in the future, he and Greninja can perfect battle bond.
Haunter continued to make silly faces win front of Sabrina as she continued to laugh. Then the demonic eye was starting to tear up a little bit watching.
"Well done young man, you've brought Sabrina back to this world," the eye said as it started to disappear.
Then four white glows started to appear behind Sabrina. Ash and Greninja noticed the glows and when he saw what happened. His eyes watered with tears of joy, and Greninja had the same feeling.
Serena, Pikachu, Munchlax, Rotom Dex. They were all back to their normal selves. They all looked at themselves in disbelief that they've returned to their original states.
"We're back to normal," Serena uttered.
"Pikachu," Pikachu uttered.
"Munchlax!" Munchlax exclaimed as he stood out.
"Yay, I can float around and give out information on Pokémon again!" Rotom Dex exclaimed, "Which reminds me, if Sabrina is willing I like to gain information on those Pokémon."
After finishing looking at herself, Serena looked on the other side of the battlefield with a smile on her face. She was starting to tear up as she saw Ash and Greninja over there with Sabrina's father.
"Ash!" Serena cried out.
"Serena!" Ash cried out.
The two made a massive dash across the battlefield as Serena grabbed her red Pokeball releasing Delphox. She knew that Delphox would love to see Greninja right about now.
Ash and Serena shared the biggest hug imaginable while Greninja and Delphox both shared a hug. Greninja winced at the power of the hug and pushed Delphox back to remind her that he just had an intense battle with Alakazam.
"I'm sorry I got you into this," Ash wept.
"It's okay Ash, everything worked out in the end. You got your badge, and you've opened Sabrina's heart back up," Serena choked up.
Pikachu and Munchlax were running up to Ash as they joined in on the celebratory festivities. Munchlax was hugging Ash's leg while Pikachu jumped up on Ash's shoulder and nuzzled his cheek on him. Ash was laughing at the affection he was getting from everyone.
While Sabrina and Haunter continued to laugh with each other, Sabrina's father approached her daughter with a smile on his face. Sabrina's laughter stopped and it was now replaced with sadness and pity.
"Daddy, I'm sorry. Don't let this happen to me again," Sabrina cried as she hugged her father.
"It's okay, I'm just glad we can be a family again," Sabrina's father said as he hugged her back.
The two embraced in a hug as Sabrina began to cry. Sabrina's father was crying with happiness as well. He was so happy to have his daughter back. He also knew his wife who also was Sabrina's mother would be returning as well.
They were going to be a family again.
Saffron City-Outside the Saffron Gym
Ash, Serena, Pikachu, Munchlax, and Rotom Dex were leaving the Saffron Gym and waving goodbye to everyone. Sabrina returned Serena's Mega Bracelet to her and apologized for taking it along with her Alakazamite which Greninja returned to her. It was a terrifying experience in there, but everything turned out alright and everything went back to normal for Sabrina and her family. Now her mother was standing with her and her dad as she was back to normal too.
"Bye!" Sabrina called out.
"Take care everyone," Sabrina's father shouted.
"Have a wonderful trip," Sabrina's mother called out.
"You all take good care of yourselves!" Ash called out as he waved goodbye, "And Sabrina, maybe I'll come back one day, and we can have another battle."
"Yeah we could! Now you go out there and win the Pokémon League!" Sabrina called out as she waved goodbye.
It was amazing to see that Sabrina who was once a cold girl has now grown to have heart. Ash knew his work here was done and it was time for his next adventure.
Outskirts of Saffron City
Ash and Serena trekked down the trail and took one last look at Saffron City. It was the second time here and it started really bad as they were kidnapped and tortured by Team Rocket and they escaped with plans for the Master Ball.
Despite those unsettling events at the Silph Company and Saffron Gym, this was surprisingly more positive than their last visit. They learned that Greninja and Delphox had a battle bond ability with their trainer which Greninja activated twice, Ash adopted a Lapras who has been through a lot, they got to compete in a contest together where Serena got her fourth ribbon, Ash won his sixth badge in a full Pokémon battle, and to top everything off, they help bring Sabrina back to reality and bring her family back together.
Now it was time to say goodbye to Saffron City and move on to their next destination. Cinnibar Island. Ash would be competing for his seventh badge while Serena has a shot to get her final ribbon.
"Well, it was quite a trip here," Serena said.
"Yeah," Ash responded as he opened his jacket to reveal six badges, "And I got to leave with some hardware."
Ash pointed to his Marsh Badge as it was the symbol of not only defeating Sabrina in a six on six battle, but helping reach out to her, thanks to Haunter. Ash then smiled and closed his jacket.
"Apologies for earlier, but I managed to meet with the Pokémon Sabrina used in the battle. I wanted to share data on all of them except Espeon," Rotom Dex confirmed as it was getting the data.
Rotom Dex wasn't going to share Espeon's data because they already recalled seeing that data when they saw Amelia's Espeon. Rotom Dex presented Ash and Serena data on Sabrina's Pokémon.
#124-Jynx: Human Shape Pokémon
Appears to move to a rhythm of its own, as if it were dancing. It wiggles its hips as it walks.
#097-Hypno: Hypnosis Pokémon
Avoid eye contact if you come across one. It will try to put you to sleep by using its pendulum.
#199-Slowking: Royal Pokémon
It's constantly coming up with new ideas that would change the world, but as soon as it hits upon a new idea, it forgets it.
#122-Mr. Mime: Barrier Pokémon
It's known for its top-notch pantomime skills. It protects itself from all sorts of attacks by emitting auras from its fingers to create walls.
#065-Alakazam: Psi Pokémon
A Pokémon that can memorize anything. It never forgets what it learns—that's why this Pokémon is smart.
"Thanks Rotom Dex," Ash complemented.
"No problem! I want you all to have a chance to know everything about any Pokémon that comes your way," Rotom Dex said giving a salute.
Ash chuckled at Rotom Dex's actions. The two began to walk down the trail. Serena was caught in thought about something and after a minute, she spoke.
"Hey Ash, I wanted to ask you something," Serena said.
Ash turned his head and looked at Serena. She looked confused as if she were thinking about something.
"Sure Serena, what's that," Ash said.
"When Greninja used Ice Beam on Alakazam, how come he didn't freeze? I mean didn't Alakazam have the Synchronize ability?" Serena asked.
Ash was looking at Serena with confusion. Ash was caught up in the moment where Greninja was in his battle bond form, that he never was thinking about that. When Frogadier used Lick on Kadabra, he ended up getting paralyzed himself and the whole battle went into a tailspin. This time, it didn't happen.
"I have the answer!" Rotom Dex announced.
Ash and Serena looked over at Rotom Dex who pulled up a picture of Mega Alakazam on its screen.
"When Alakazam Mega Evolves, his ability changes from Synchronize to Trace. So that meant if any of Ash's Pokémon hit Alakazam with a status inflicting move while in that form, Alakazam can't pass it on. Instead when Alakazam mega evolved, he ended up taking Greninja's ability," Rotom Dex explained.
"Taking Greninja's ability?" Ash questioned.
"Yes, Trace copies the opposing Pokémon's ability and that ability comes into play. For example, if Mega Alakazam were to face Pikachu, then Mega Alakazam would have Pikachu's Static ability," Rotom Dex explained.
"Whoa, amazing," Serena said.
"That's what I'm here for. To share much information on Pokémon as possible," Rotom Dex said, "Even when it comes to their Mega Evolutions."
Ash and Serena couldn't help but envy Rotom Dex's features. Once he gets data on a Pokémon, he gains every piece of information from their moves, abilities, and information on their potential mega evolved forms. While it was a hoot sometimes, Rotom Dex proved to be valuable to them.
After Ash's gym battle with Sabrina, he would make sure to have Rotom Dex look more into his newest Pokémon so he can have them prepared for future battles, and Serena can do the same to think of combinations for her contests. Speaking of contests, Ash sneered at his girlfriend.
"Hey Serena, remember the deal you made with me," Ash snickered.
"What deal?" Serena questioned.
"That if I beat Sabrina and got the Marsh Badge, you would put on your contest dress and do a little tap dance for me," Ash smirked as he crossed his arms.
Serena's face was turning red. Of course she made that deal with him.
"I…I only said that to motivate you to confront Sabrina," Serena squeaked in embarrassment as she waved her hands.
"A deal's a deal," Ash smirked,
"Grr, darn you Ash Ketchum!" Serena pouted, "I'll do it eventually, but not right now."
"Why not?" Ash questioned while snickering.
Serena's face was turning more red than usual. He was starting to act like a male version of Miette acting all snooty towards her.
"Because I don't have it on and I don't know where to change," Serena answered putting her hands on her hips while looking around, "Plus there is no good place for me to tap dance."
"You'll do it eventually, right?" Ash questioned with his hands on his hips.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah," Serena moaned.
Ash was now laughing. He was going to get his way with girlfriend, after all she made that deal with him.
Ash-Greninja comes to the rescue and scores the win. Now it's time for our couple to make their way to Cinnibar Island.
Like Saffron City, I'll be doing the contest first and then the gym battle. There will be plenty of stuff that will happen before Ash challenges Blaine. Here's what's to come.
-More Evolutions (Obvious Spoiler Alert: Charmeleon will be one of those Pokémon)
-Fossil Pokémon
-Obtaining more Mega Stones
-Familiar faces returning
-Meeting of a Legendary Pokémon
-More flashbacks involving Annie
-Team Rocket's final preparations
-Ivysaur's behavior getting worse
-Another Interlude somewhere
-And since we've had Ash-Greninja return, a return for Serena-Delphox
This is what will be taking place before Ash's seventh gym battle.
Leave me a review or PM to tell me what you all thought about my first six on six battle. If you thought the Saffron Gym battle was something, wait until you see what I have planned for Ash's Viridian Gym battle. Like this gym, it's something you won't expect.
Stay tuned as the next chapter will come soon.
Chapter 64: Showdown in Dark City
