That declaration shocked both occupants in the room. Amelia was secretly thrilled the idiot was doing something right and it was apparently the right thing since Dumbledore paled at it. She would do all she could to ensure nothing was covered up. Albus however was terrified of what could be uncovered. He would have to get rid of Arabella quickly and ensure no one knew she had lived there at all or had had any contact with the family at all. If the muggle police was involved then that would mean someone had been arrested. He hoped it was only the husband but he wasn't banking on it. All in all this did not bode well for his plans. He could see his imaginary chess board being knocked over once more.

(September 1st 1990) (Malfoy Manor) (Afternoon)

Lucius stared at the paper in front of him. He had only done two things since he got the paper. He read it cover to cover and then signed up for a subscription. After those tasks were accomplished he simply stared at it. His mind was swirling over all matter of thoughts and he allowed his over stimulated mind to simply switch from topic to topic.

The old fool will surely be taken down a peg now.

Abusive muggles! The Dark side can use this to further our cause.

Sanctuary!? That hasn't been done in centuries.

Sneaky bastards have made their own paper, surely his stock in the Prophet will be worth less now.

Could he use this opportunity to get close to the boy? It's risky.

How will Severus react to this news, he loved that retched mudblood.

What will the rest of our faction think?

What is the Ministry doing?

Surely this will make us the laughing stock of Europe!

This seems like only the beginning of a larger scandal.

His mind was racing as he tried to slow his thoughts down. This was something he had not encountered in a long time. This was like having all the walls being taken away from your home, it may still be standing but you had to move fast to return the walls to cover everything back up and even then it would never be the same. He had to get in touch with his associates and assess the situation. A few hired fools would need to be sent out to different places to get the current gossip and get the 'feel' of the common man.

He took the paper and made his way to his office. A quick duplicating charm to the paper and he had an elf send his wife the copy. He was sure she would get in touch with the society women in her circle quickly to get as much information as possible. Perhaps even organize a luncheon to gather more women to get more details. At least Narcissa made herself useful to him in some ways. He hoped she acted quickly, he needed all the information he could get his hands on.

He walked to his desk and began to pen several letters to various associates. He would not be caught unaware again. He needed to know how this would affect them all. The Potter boy would also bear watching, he held their fate in his hands.

(September 1st 1990) (Weasley Residence) (Afternoon)

Molly Weasleys' screeching had been heard as far as the Diggory residence that afternoon. Without her husband home to calm her down her two youngest children witnessed the ungluing of their mother as she yelled some pretty colorful words at the paper. They had kept out of sight but close enough to hear what was the cause of her outburst. Their father had sent her a copy of the paper without thinking.

Ginny was in tears as she heard what had happened to her hero. Her Harry had been abused by some horrible muggles and he blamed the Magical World. She was so distraught that it was her sobbing that alerted their mother of their presence. Ron had of course berated her for ruining their cover. He had wanted to hear more of what was going on and to get as much information as possible. Plus he liked learning new swear words from his mom that not even the twins had taught him.

Poor little Ginny locked herself in her room to get away from her least liked brother. She ran to her bed and pulled out her Harry Potter adventure book from under her pillow. She gazed at the cover of a speckled boy with messy black hair and bright green eyes with a lightning bolt scar on his forehead. Fresh tears flooded her eyes as she clutched the book to her chest. Her Harry was with the goblins probably in the same state as her and all she wished in the whole world was to hug him and tell him everything would be alright. The books may have lied to her but she still believed in their message.

Harry Potter was a hero and for him to have survived all of the things she heard she knew that was still right. One day she would meet him and she would show him that not everyone was like those awful muggles. She would show him love and he would one day make her his wife and Lady. Ginny sighed dreamily as she clung to her book and childish dreams.

(September 1st 1990) (Ministers office)

Amelia Bones paced the Ministers office as the man himself sat down on his gaudy chair. She was furious with the answers she had gotten out of the old man. If you can even call them answers. She thought. There was no way in hell she would allow him to have any official capacity in the subsequent trials and hearings. The last thing she needed was him to ruin things for them or obstruct justice. She needed her top aurors on the case working alongside her. She would not look the fool in front of the International Media.

"We will need to gather everything we can and bar Dumbledore from having any official capacities during anything as he cannot be counted on to remain unbiased." Amelia said as she stopped pacing.

"I agree, everything will be looked over as it progresses. Dumbledore will still try and insert himself into anything to do with the Potter boy." Cornelius said as he began to plan. He needed to survive this and Albus Dumbledore looked like a good scapegoat to him.

"Let's get to the Prime Minister's office and inform him of what is going on. I don't know if the Goblins have gotten to him yet but it is best that we go anyway just in case. I have a copy of the file with me for him already. I can send one of the muggleborn aurors to update him as the case goes. We don't need to be embroiled in a political fight with the muggles too." Amelia sighed as she rubbed her temples. She could not take another headache reliever for today. She had already the maximum dosage in a few hours.

"Very well, let's get going. The last thing we need is to keep them waiting just in case they already know." Cornelius grumbled. He hated dealing with the muggles, they were so touchy about things.

Both left the office without knowing that a certain reporter had heard their conversation. She did not risk going to the floo with them as she was not sure she could hold onto one of them properly. Still what little she heard was gold.

(September 1st 1990) (Gringotts) (Night)

Ragnok gazed at the boards with a vengeful smile. For ages his people had been looked down upon and treated as nothing but beasts. Now they had proven that the humans were the real 'beasts'. He hated the extent of the treatment the child had received. The reports from the healers had enraged him as well as his son.

They would do all they could for the boy while he was under their care. He wasn't sure what the boy would choose to do however. He had many options open to him, including destroying the British Enclave. He hoped that wasn't the case as it wouldn't be profitable for them. Still they would endeavor to help him. The boy had eaten with them and then had to be taken straight home. He had practically fallen asleep on the chair. It had been an eventful day for him after all.

He looked down at the newspaper on his desk with pride. It had never seemed profitable to open their own paper before now. Sure they had done ads in the prophet and other papers around the world but this was something else. It opened their nation up to more things. He began to think of what else they could do to better their nation when his eyes caught sight of the bold writing once more.

It wasn't a long statement, it wasn't even very salacious or malicious. It was simply the message itself and who it came from that caused the impact. He still remembered how opposed to giving one the boy had been. He still felt slightly guilty for convincing him to do it but it had been necessary. Without this it would have been near impossible to have their newspaper be accepted no matter what its contents were. Yes, many things would not have been possible without the appearance of the Potter heir. They owed much to the boy.

"I have not known much of kindness in my life. I have known the consequences of not doing tasks quickly enough. I have known the consequences of not being quiet enough. I have known the consequences of being seen. I have known the consequences of being a 'freak'. I have not known kindness or love for years. If I had not been told of my birth parents then I would have kept on thinking of them as nothing more than good for nothing drunks. My entire life change the day I ran away and was found by someone who brought me to the Goblins. They did not trust the Ministry to take care of me since all anyone has ever been told was lies about me and my life so the Goblins were their best choice. Here I was given sanctuary and given a safe place to stay and heal. Now I am speaking out and taking steps to make sure I am heard. What was done to me was criminal and with the help of the Goblin Nation those responsible will pay."

Strong words from a small child whom is only 10 years old but has lived a hard life. I believe I am not the only person who hopes young Heir Potter gets the justice he so rightly deserves. What has been done to him is criminal and something that should have never happened. The magical world views its children as blessings and here is a child who was hurt in ways no human being ever should be.

What is the ministry doing to bring justice to this young heir? Who placed him in an abusive home? Why did no one check on him? Was there a plot to kill the young heir? What will happen to the muggle abusers?
We are working hard to answer these questions and we will bring the answers as soon as we can. One thing is for certain however. This is only the beginning of the Potter scandal.

I know this Chapter is shorter than the others but I lost a lot of drive in this story. Plus there was nothing else I wanted to include about what happens for this day. September 1st is officially over. Finally.
Things will be progressing sporadically from now on. I will skip a few days and then weeks or months. I will basically stick to only a few things in canon once the next year starts. A lot of things will be different though since there will be consequences to what happened to Harry.

I added the little scene from the Weasley home since someone asked to see them. I hope it was well received.
I am not sure as to how badly to punish Dumbledore since I still need him for now but I don't want to punish him too harshly nor do I want to be too light. Any suggestions?

As always don't forget to Fav, Follow and Review.
