~Turn That Frown Upside-Down!~

"You need to smile more."

Shadow's expression remained neutral as he stared at his blue counterpart, blinking once before huffing and folding his arms. "I do not need to smile more."

"Yes you dooo~" Sonic sang, a grin spreading across his muzzle. "You're always frownin' like the world's about to end. Would it kill ya to smile every once in a while?"

"Yes." Shadow dryly replied, hoping it would make Sonic go away.

It didn't.

"Aw, c'mon, don't be like that Shads!" Sonic pleaded. "Just one smile, for me?"

"No."

Sonic narrowed his eyes, and before Shadow knew it Sonic had actually managed to lift him off the ground and was holding him upside-down, Sonic's mischievous eyes meeting his own.

Chaos, how strong was he?! "What the hell are you doing, faker?!" Shadow snarled. Sonic only snickered.

"Well since you wouldn't smile, I turned your frown upside-down!" he proudly explained, depositing Shadow onto the ground and fully expecting a swift punch to the stomach or something to similar effect.

But that never happened. In fact, Sonic swore he saw Shadow's mouth twitch upwards ever so slightly...

And then with no warning Shadow was gone in a flash of Chaos energy, leaving Sonic to shake his head and snicker.

Next time, he'd make him smile for real.
