Chapter 5

Train Ride

Vi's POV

A couple of weeks after McGonagall came it was finally the day I leave for Hogwarts. The last few weeks have been hard. After the Professor left my mother locked me in the punishment room. She let me out to go to bed and do chores besides that I was locked in there. The only meals I got to eat was lunch. My mother even told Edward and his family that I couldn't go over to their house because I was in trouble. It was the longest punishment I have ever had. I asked my mother why didn't she tell me I am a witch. She told me that she was hoping I never found out. If I never found out I wouldn't have to leave. I kind of felt bad that she would be alone but I was also mad she tried to hide the truth from me.

On the day I was leaving I woke up. I got dressed and went downstairs. My mother sat at the table and ate her breakfast. She even gave me a little of her food. I was surprised but I didn't ask why. After she was done we got my stuff and left for the train station. When we got there. We went to platform 9 and 10.

I hugged her and said "Goodbye Mother."

She hugged me back and said "Goodbye Violet. Make sure to write and behave."

I nodded and we stopped hugging. I took my trunk and ran through the wall between platform 9 and 10. After I got through I saw the train and smiled. I put my trunk on the train. Then I got on the train and sat down in a empty compartment. A few minutes later a boy came. He had black hair and green eyes.

I asked "Would you like to sit here? You can if you want I don't mind."

He sat down and said "Thanks I'm Harry Potter."

I said "I'm Violet Cullen. Nice to meet you."

Another boy came in and introduced himself as Ron. We introduced ourselves and Ron gasped at Harry's name and asked to see his scar. Harry pushed his hair back and showed us his scar. Ron stared at Harry like he was famous or something. I didn't see what the big deal was.

I asked "Why did you want to see his scar? How did you know he had one?"

Ron looked at me like I was crazy. He explained "Don't you know anything even muggleborns know about Harry. He is famous in our world. A dark wizard killed his parents and tried to kill him but the spell killed him instead. That's why Harry has a scar."

I felt bad for Harry not having any parents. A boy named Neville came in and asked if we have seen his toad. We shook our heads and he left. Then a girl named Hermione came in and asked about Neville's toad.

I said "We haven't seen it but I can help you look if you want." She nodded. I helped look for the toad but we couldn't find it. I went back to the compartment. I saw three boys leave. I sat down as Hermione came back and told us to change into our robes. I left to change then I went back.

Harry said "You can have some of our candy if you want."

I smiled and said "Thanks."

I ate a chocolate frog and looked at the card. It was Dumbledore. I put it in a safe place. I ate some more candy. Ron complained about Hermione.

I said "She isn't that bad. She is just new to magic like me and Harry. She is also excited. I am too."

Ron didn't look convinced but didn't say anything. Soon the train stopped. I smiled I am at Hogwarts!

Edward knows Violet isn't treated good. Alice told him if he tells anyone than Violet's mother will just leave and take Vi with her. Alice also told him if they told Vi's mother to treat her better she would not allow them to see Vi and she would tell everyone their secret.
