Oh. Uh. Hi there! Man it has been a while uh.. what can I even say? Sorry. Wasn't suppose to take this long but… it did.

Well. I hope you like it and.. forgive me for taking damn near a year.

I tried to make the fight scenes good. Tried being the word. I guess it is up to you guys and gals if I succeeded or not.

Rock that dragon!

- START -

...

Raditz growled as he unleashed a flurry of punches and kicks at his former comrade. He was glad to see the look of surprise on Nappa's face. It was proof that his training hadn't been for nothing. He was a lot stronger and faster than he had been when he was last in the presence of his former comrades. His training had paid off. With a yell he drove his fist directly into Nappa's gut causing the taller Saiyan warrior to let out a gasp of pain. The sound brought a smirk to Raditz's face and he decided to press his advantage by going for an uppercut.

Nappa leaned his head back, dodging the uppercut. Instead of trying to attack Raditz right away, he went with creating some distance between them. In the blink of an eye he was already a dozen yards away from Raditz and it didn't take long for Raditz to shoot forward after him. This didn't surprise Nappa one bit. He knew as soon as they had begun trading blows that Raditz was not only stronger and faster, but more confident. Real confidence. Not the forced confidence he had seen in the younger saiyan warrior over the years. It seems the year he had spent on this backwater world had changed him considerably.

"Don't run from me Nappa!" Raditz shouted as he closed in.

"I'm not running boy!" Nappa retorted sharply while coming to a complete stop. The large saiyan warrior swiftly moved to the side just as Raditz was close enough to hit him. He reached out and grabbed the younger saiyan by his long spikey hair just as Raditz began to fly past him. With a firm grip on Raditz's hair with his right hand, Nappa yanked on it sharply. A gasp of pain escaped Raditz as his head was yanked back and his eyes widened as he saw Nappa's fist come down upon him.

Nappa brought his left fist down onto Raditz's face once. Twice. Three times and just as he cocked his fist back for a fourth time, Raditz quickly brought up his right hand and fired a small ki blast into Nappa's face causing him to let go of Raditz's hair. The ki blast had only been to distract Nappa and get him to let go. The power in the attack was minimal but it had been enough to surprise the saiyan elite.

Raditz darted backwards through the sky, this time it was him creating distance. He had been caught off guard when Nappa had grabbed him by the hair. Now it was him that was seemingly on the run. That mistake of his could've cost him everything.

The smoke cleared from around Nappa's face, revealing that no harm had been done at all. The saiyan brute quietly stared at Raditz, thinking over what he should do next. The brief back and forth between them had already shown him that Raditz was different. To think in just a year, he had changed so much. Of course, it wasn't just his power that had changed, but his sense in attire.

From battle armor to what seemed to be glorified pajamas!

'Raditz always did let the littlest things get under his skin.' Nappa smirked at the thought. 'He did seem pretty protective of those weaklings. Maybe instead of poking fun at his choice in clothes, I could try and kill them again?' The smirk slowly vanished from his face. Now that there was a break in the action, and he didn't have to focus on dodging Raditz's attacks. He could feel someone trying to kill him with their gaze alone.

He turned his gaze in the direction of the feeling and saw that Paragus's brat, Sarada, was staring at him.

Raditz had watched Nappa turn his gaze in Sarada's direction. He could only imagine the expression on that girl's face. She had almost killed him when he struck Gohan. Well he had planned on doing more at the time as he had been lost to his rage after the boy's surprise attack. Nappa had just tried to kill the girl's adopted mother, Kakarot's friend, and Piccolo. He was glad that he intervened and saved them, yet he was surprised that Sarada hadn't done anything.

'She must've been focusing all her attention on Vegeta.' Raditz theorized. 'Now though… I don't think she will make that mistake again.' He watched as Sarada took Gohan over to Chi-Chi, Krillin, and Piccolo who had landed not to far away from them. He hoped the three used this time to catch their breath and form a plan. For now, he'd keep Nappa busy. Raditz knew that he might have to put his old comrade down. He doubted Vegeta would lift a finger to rescue Nappa if it came to that.

"I wouldn't recommend being on the end of her anger." Raditz said casually. Deciding to break the silence as a strong breeze rushed by him, causing his long spikey hair to sway to the side.

"Heh. Noted." While Nappa had responded, he hadn't taken his eyes off Sarada. "I half expect her to fly up here and wipe me off the face of the universe. Power level of 10,045 when she kicked you around. Something tells me that number has only gotten larger in the year it took us to get here."

Raditz opened his mouth to reply but stopped himself. It was shocking how easy his anger had left him. Not that long ago he had been doing his best to try and stop Nappa after saving his new comrades. Now here he was. Having a friendly chat with his old mentor.

That was when Nappa vanished only to reappear in front of him, catching Raditz off guard with a quick knee to the younger saiyan's gut. Raditz hunched over in pain.

"That's the second time I've caught you off guard boy." Nappa's tone caught Raditz by surprise. Just like the surprise knee to the gut. Nappa's tone wasn't smug or arrogant but… scolding. "I taught you better than that. Where was all that fire from earlier? Gone? Already?"

'Enough! No more fooling around!' Raditz thought angrily. He needed to get out of this position and quickly. With a yell he unleashed a powerful kiai that sent Nappa flying. Once that was done, Raditz straightened and smirked at the look of surprise on Nappa's face.

"Maybe you should also worry about your own guard, Nappa." Raditz taunted smugly.

Nappa didn't like that tone one bit. Even then he had to admit that Raditz had caught him off guard. He hadn't expected the kiai at all. Not that he would admit it out loud.

Instead of charging right back in to renew their fight, he went about pulling off the ruined remains of his battle armor and letting the pieces fall to the ground. His gaze didn't leave Raditz for a second. That look in the younger saiyan's dark eyes told him that when their fight resumed that Raditz would not be holding back. He let out a sigh after the last bit of his ruined armor fell away and then he was moving.

In the blink of an eye the saiyan warriors clashed once more.

'They almost died.' Sarada thought numbly while watching as Raditz and Nappa renewed their fight. 'Mom, Piccolo, and Krillin would have died because I... wasn't paying attention." She would have to thank Raditz once this was all over. He had saved them and prevented Gohan from having to experience the pain seeing his mom die right in front of him. If Chi-Chi had died…

Sarada's hands clenched into fists and her shoulders began to shake.

'No. Don't think about what ifs. It didn't happen. That is what's important.' She almost jumped out of her skin when she felt a pair of hands on her shoulders. She whirled around and looked up into the eyes of her adopted mother.

"Hey sweetie." Chi-Chi said warmly and smiled at her. Sarada's hands unclenched. Even though her adopted mother's face was bruised and there was a line of blood from her bottom lip to her chin, her smile still put Sarada at ease. Mostly.

"…" Sarada didn't speak. The words Sarada wanted to say would not leave her mouth. She wanted to apologize for not paying better attention. That she wouldn't have been fast enough to save them. Since the words would not come out, she responded by stepping closer and wrapping her arms around Chi-Chi's waist. Chi-Chi returned the hug instantly and even lifted Sarada up off the ground which caught the saiyan girl off guard. Her feet kicked around, and Chi-Chi laughed briefly before a small coughing fit took over.

"Mom!" Sarada shouted in a panic as she wiggled out of Chi-Chi's arms and landed with an inaudible thud. Chi-Chi shook her head and waved her hand at Sarada as the coughing fit came to an end.

"I'm alright Sarada." Chi-Chi assured her daughter. Nappa had given her a beating but she was not going to show any more signs of weakness in front of her kids. She didn't want to worry them. Her gaze lifted to the sky, just in time to see Raditz catch Nappa with a right jab that sent the larger saiyan warrior flying backwards.

Meanwhile Sarada didn't look entirely convinced by Chi-Chi's words but she silently conceited that arguing over it would be pointless. She looked past her mother and spotted Gohan who was currently standing in front of Piccolo and waving his hands around above his head. It seemed like he was asking Piccolo if he was okay or not but instead of responding or even acknowledging Gohan's presence, Piccolo kept his eyes on the sky. Watching the fight. Sarada however saw the small smile on her teacher's face.

'Heh.' Sarada chuckled inwardly. She took her mother by the hand and walked with her over to the trio.

"Hey Sarada." Krillin greeted the girl. He was hunched over with his hands on his knees. "Wow… I thought we were goners there."

"We almost were." Piccolo reluctantly admitted. He folded his arms over his broad chest and huffed. "I hope Raditz isn't expecting a thank you."

"I don't think Raditz is concerned about whether or not we thank him at the moment." Chi-Chi said in a deadpan. "I think he's more concerned with the fight he's currently having."

"Hey when this is all over… I'm still going to give him a thanks." Krillin chimed in while catching his breath.

Vegeta began to laugh after he heard the bald midget's words. His laughter drew their attention over to him. The Prince of all Saiyans turned his head to look at them with a condescending smirk on his face. He took note the look of fear on the midget and half-breed's face. The look of annoyance on the faces of Piccolo and Kakarot's mate. Paragus's brat stared at him with eyes about as warm as a glacier and her face shined with anger.

"You talk as if all of you will be alive after this fight is over." Vegeta sneered. "Well… if that foolish notion is keeping you from soiling yourself then feel free to have your little delusion."

Sarada took a step forward, standing protectively in front of the others. It was a laughable sight to Vegeta. That this child had more power then those behind her. Perhaps even more power than all of them combined. He was having too much fun with all of this. These weaklings were already down three fighters. Four if you count the weird child like being that left. Even then he was still waiting for the arrival of Kakarot. He wondered what the low-class weakling would do at the sight of his dead friends and family. Of course, that was off the assumption he showed up at all. Was Kakarot a coward?

"You've already taken three of us." Sarada said with a growl in her voice. "You will be taking no more."

Vegeta almost started laughing again. Almost. Instead he pushed his laughter away to eye the saiyan girl. His lips curled up just a fraction as he knew that look in her eyes and that growl in her voice. Saiyan pride. It was refreshing to see. Since it sounded like Kakarot didn't have any and Raditz had clearly lost his.

"Big words for such a little girl." Vegeta said tauntingly. Trying to goad the girl into a fight. "You might have beaten Raditz. You could kill Nappa right now…" He took a single step closer and relished the fear that danced on the faces of Krillin, Chi-Chi, and Gohan. Piccolo only tensed up and glared at him. Sarada didn't move. "But you won't lay one hand on me girly."

"Maybe we should test that theory… right now." Sarada said in a tone that just dripped malice. To the shock of the other defenders of Earth. She even took a step forward before Chi-Chi reached out and put her hands on the saiyan girl's shoulders. To keep Sarada from doing something stupid. Chi-Chi knew that Sarada could easily tear out of her grasp if she really wanted too. She just hoped that Sarada didn't really want to start fighting Vegeta right now.

"Tempting offer." Vegeta turned his head to look back at the sky to watch Nappa and Raditz. "However, I want to see Raditz die first." Death is what traitors deserved after all. Joining up with these pathetic vermin over his Prince? Yes, death was all that low-class warrior trashed deserved.

Sarada glanced up at the sky just in time to see Raditz dodge a kick from Nappa.

'I will not let anyone else die...' Sarada thought, a determined look on her face.

-Linebreak-

Nappa's grunt was a mixture of annoyance and pain as Raditz had dodged his kick only to follow up with a punch. Raditz's fist had smashed into the side of his face. With a roar, he rushed forward and unleashed a furious barrage of punches and kicks at the spikey haired warrior. The look of surprise on Raditz's face was enough to make Nappa grin. The assault was too much for Raditz. He had been able to block a fair amount of the punches and kicks but when he thought that Nappa was attacking at full speed, the speed behind his attacks increased to the point that after every few punches one would catch Raditz right in the face. A kick would catch his leg or his side.

Deciding that the best course of action for him was to create some space. He blocked one last punch before moving backwards through the air at great speed. The wind whipping around him, sending his spikey mane in every direction. Raditz knew that Nappa had been stronger than him when he first arrived on Earth, but he had felt that after his year of constant training that he had surely surpassed his old comrade who had spent the year in the space pod. Not fighting at all.

Yet… those punches… those kicks.

A few had almost been faster than he could see. Luckily, he had been able to react on instinct.

Nappa laughed as he flew forward after him.

Raditz was still moving backwards through the air, not having to worry about hitting anything since he was so high up. He wasn't caught off guard by Nappa's decision to pursue him. In a swift movement he spun around to where his stomach was now facing the ground, a light blue ki aura engulfed him and his speed increased greatly. Taking off like a rocket he shot across the sky leaving behind a small tail of blue ki behind him.

"Eh?!" Nappa's face morphed into one of shock and surprise. Which quickly turned into anger. He growled, wondering what Raditz was doing now. It didn't take long before his own aura shroud rose up around him and he was chasing his former comrade across the sky. What kind of tactic was this? Running away? No. Raditz wasn't running away. Instead of continuing onward Raditz had come to a sudden halt. In the blink of an eye Raditz whirled around and brought his right hand up. In the same motion he had placed his left over his right wrist to help steady his hand. A yellow orb appeared in front of the spikey haired saiyan's palm before being unleashed as an energy wave.

Instead of stopping or dodging, Nappa simply increased his speed. Flying straight for the oncoming attack with no sign of fear on his face. A veteran of more fights than he could put a number too without some serious thought, it would take more from Raditz to make him balk. Nappa dodged to the right and fired his own ki attack.

Raditz huffed as he let his energy wave die and swiftly brought his left hand up to back hand the weak ki blast that Nappa had sent at him. His eyes hadn't left Nappa and he remained in place as his old mentor closed the distance. He brought his arms up to block what he believed to be an oncoming punch only for Nappa to vanish. Raditz's eyes widened at Nappa's use of rapid movement. Sensing Nappa's ki above him, all he was able to do was tilt his head back to look up before Nappa's fist crashed against his forehead.

The next thing Raditz knew was Nappa had gotten in close and was hammering him with powerful punches. He felt himself being forced back through the air do to the saiyan elite's assault. He tried to get his arms up to defend himself but a swift knee to the stomach followed up with an uppercut left him reeling. The uppercut had enough strength behind it to send Raditz's flying upward and it was only Nappa grabbing him by the ankle that prevented him from going even higher up.

The wind howled in Raditz's ears as Nappa spun once and flung him towards a large rock formation. Which had probably been standing there for who knows how long but in a matter of seconds it was destroyed as the older brother of Earth's mightiest hero went crashing through it. Luck was not on Raditz's side. After crashing through the rock structure he had come to a stop on the ground just on the other side. This had weakened it significantly and it was now falling over. In his direction.

'Shit.' Raditz thought as large boulders began to fall from the rock formation, heading straight for him.

Nappa watched the whole thing from his position up in the sky. A confident grin on his face. His grin didn't even wane in the slightest at the sight of a large energy wave obliterating the rocks completely. Once the dust had settled it revealed Raditz on one knee with his right hand up in the air. He watched as his former protegee lowered his hand while pushing himself up to his feet.

The fight didn't immediately renew as Raditz took a moment to catch his breath from the brief but brutal beat down Nappa had just given him.

"Don't move, boy!" Nappa shouted down at him as he began to descend from the sky. "I've had enough of kicking your ass up here in the sky. I'm coming down there to finish this."

"Finish this?! This battle is a long way from over Nappa!" Raditz roared back, his hands clenched into fists. He still had a lot of fight left in him. Just because he might be a little bruised up and bleeding from some cuts didn't mean he was ready to call a quits. The only way he would quit this fight is if he was dead.

Nappa's eyes lit up with respect for the attitude Raditz was showing. His feet connected with the ground with a quiet thud thanks to his boots. He didn't wait long to go on the offensive. Almost immediately after his feet had reached the ground he was kicking off and rushing towards Raditz. Pebbles and dirt went flying up behind him as he closed the distance.

Raditz didn't hesitate to rush forward and meet Nappa halfway, kicking up his own little dirt trail along the way. He dodged the punch that Nappa had thrown with his right fist. Having expected it this time. He responded with a short punch to the man's gut, which was now thankfully devoid of armor do to Tien's attack. Nappa grunted at the impact of Raditz's fist but one little punch wasn't enough to slow him down.

Nappa and Raditz remained in the same spot, just a few inches of the ground. Fists were flying along with kicks. Yet no matter how fast they attacked one another, the other always seem to be able to block or swipe the attack away. The stalemate only lasted a little longer before Nappa moved half a step back and brought up his hands. A bright yellow ki orb formed in front of his hands and all Raditz could do was widen his eyes as the attack was fired at almost point blank range. The ki orb slammed into his chest, drawing out a pain filled gasp. Raditz's feet left the ground and he flew backwards through the air until landing in an ungraceful heap on the ground.

'I didn't expect that. Damn it.' Raditz cursed himself. He didn't even need to look down to know that the front of the orange gi was ruined. He could smell it. Singed clothing. Still smelled better than singed flesh. Before he could even contemplate why Nappa had only put enough power into his attack to singe his clothing and send him flying, a shadow was cast over him.

That shadow belonged to the descending Nappa who had leaped into the air and was currently falling towards Raditz, feet first.

"Fuck!" Raditz shouted as he rolled to the side, dodging the incoming attack.

Nappa slammed his feet into the ground, leaving foot imprints that were a few inches deep. He turned his head to the side to see Raditz getting to his feet. Turning his body to face the direction of his former comrade, he darted forward with a swiftness that some would think a man his size couldn't possess. He stuck his arm out as he went to move past Raditz, his forearm caught the younger saiyan right on the forehead.

Raditz's head throb as he knocked off his feet yet again but instead of falling on his back like before he did his best to use the momentum of Nappa's attack to assist him in back flipping. As he was in the process of completing the flip, he realized he wouldn't be able to land on his feet. Instead he put his hands out as he was coming down. His knees soon came in contact with the unforgiving ground. He looked over his shoulder just to see that Nappa had stopped a yard or so away and was now coming back towards him at full speed. That's when an idea came to him.

Nappa realized to late that Raditz had planned something. The revelation only came when Raditz had mule kicked him, both feet planted firmly into his gut. He hunched forward in pain while Raditz used the time to get back to his feet. The attack hadn't sent Nappa flying like Raditz had hoped for but it had given him time to get to his feet. Now that he was back up on his feet, he pressed the advantage by landing a straight punch to Nappa's cheek.

The large warrior's head snapped to the left before almost immediately being snapped to the right.

'Yeah.. no.' Nappa thought. He extended his arms out at his side, merely grunting after Raditz delivered a barrage a blows to his stomach and chest. Then he brought his hands towards Raditz's head. In the blink of an eye he had smacked his hands against Raditz's ears.

Raditz blinked as he stumbled backwards. 'Damn it!' He thought angrily. 'Were my punches even doing anything?!'

'Damn that boy can hit hard.' Nappa reached up to touch the side of his face. He could almost feel a bruise forming already. He felt a sudden rush of pride at how far Raditz had come. Then came a rush of something else. Sadness? Regret? He knew what Vegeta expected of him. He knew that the prince expected him to kill Raditz for his betrayal.

He was brought out of his thoughts when Raditz had finally regained his bearings and was moving forward to begin the fight once more. Nappa leaped backwards and grinned while his eyes began to glow. White beams of energy shot from his eyes, striking Raditz in the chest. This was the second time he had landed an energy attack there today. Instead of piercing straight through Raditz's body like one would expect, these eye beams exploded on contact. He had done that on purpose. The attack had enough power to wound him, but not kill him.

The elite warrior came to a stop not long after ending his eye beam attack. Surprise crossed his face at the sight of Raditz, who was still standing. His attack should've sent the younger saiyan flying, yet all it had managed to do was destroy the front of the blue shirt that had been under the orange gi. Raditz's chest area was bruised and there were dozens of cuts across his torso. He was certain that attack would knock Raditz out. It hadn't. All he had managed to do was damage his outfit even further and add some new bruises, plus some cuts.

"You really have gotten stronger on this backwater world." Nappa said after a long moment of silence. "If only I was still wearing my scouter." He smirked while folding his arms over his chest, "Of course you would have to stop doing that little trick all of you seem to know, hiding your true power." That skill was impressive. One he would definitely like to know.

Raditz didn't respond right away. He stood up and clenched his hands into fists. His facial features were twisted in a mixture of frustration and anger. With a yell he ripped the remaining tatters of his weighted training shirt off and tossed it to the side.

Meanwhile a certain blonde haired sister to a genius inventor felt her face heat up at the sight of such a hunk shirtless.

Nappa's words from the beginning of their battle passed through his mind.

"Vegeta!" He shouted, turning his head to look over at the short saiyan prince. "Get that scouter of yours ready! I want you to tell Nappa the number that device gives to my power." His gaze shifted from Vegeta to Nappa. "Are you ready Nappa?!"

Nappa laughed in response before shouting his response. "I'll repeat what I said earlier boy! SHOW ME HOW MUCH STRONGER YOU'VE GOTTEN ON THIS BACKWATER WORLD!" Nappa didn't move after he spoke, his gaze locked onto Raditz. The look in the long haired spiky saiyan's eyes told him all he needed to know. Now. Now was the time that Raditz was going to stop holding back. He could feel it in the very fiber of his being.

"Alright then Nappa!" Raditz clenched his hands into fists and he began to yell, his head tossed back as a mixture of a blue and purple aura shroud wrapped around him. His hair began to sway side to side violently as his power kicked up a little wind storm around him, cutting cracks into the ground.

Vegeta stared at the scene with only minor interest. His scouter was locked onto Raditz and the number continued to rise from Raditz's old power level of 1,500. 2,000. 2,500. 3,000. 3,500. 4,000.

4,500.

'So you've tripled your power in one year.' Vegeta noted in his mind. Then he shouted over to Nappa, "His power is 4,500!"

Raditz smirked as Vegeta announced his power level. Compared to the Saiyan Prince it still was a drop in a lake. He relaxed his hands and began to gather ki into them. The bluish purple aura shroud continued to outline his form. Raditz brought his hands up as purple electricity began to spark around them. Soon two purple energy spheres appeared around his hands, he pumped a little more power into them. This made the spheres get larger.

Nappa didn't move. He knew this attack like the back of his hand. The elite warrior could even remember when Raditz had first come up with it.

"You wanted a taste of my power! Now you can have it!" He shoved his hands forward, the energy spheres turned into two large powerful purple energy waves that were speeding directly towards Nappa, who didn't move or even flinch. "Double Sunday!" Raditz bellowed the attack's name.

Nappa still remained in the same spot. Even as the attack closed in on him. When the attack was close enough it covered Nappa in a purple light. Instead of looking panicked or worried. He… he… he… he merely smirked.

Once again… i'm sorry for this taking so long. Almost a year.

I hope you liked it at least.

Maybe even to leave a kind review? Hmm? A favorite? Perhaps a follow? Hmmmm?

Okay okay I'll stop pushing my luck.

Until next time… on Sarada the Legendary Super Saiyan.
