A/N: Pickup with 4 To Go Enjoy.

9: Overblown at Christmas

"How the bloody hell does Harry know how to deal with this." My aches were palpable as we moved nearer and nearer to the tree. In the dimming sun somehow, this purple glow was all that was present. Yet my mind was on 2 things keeping out the seeping pain. My kiss with Hermione at midnight and whatever Harry now found himself in.

"Ron Look…"

Now we could see the tree and what was embedded in it. As she picked about it we checked the time turner to see how much time we had left.

"We got 41 minutes, you sure that's worth poking at?"

Now I could see she suddenly got an idea in her head as she ran and pulled the time turner out of my hand. I got a glimpse of her holding it up to the embedded object in the tree. It was larger and look more crudely made but as we could now see the glow coming from the sand in what appeared to be a near identical hourglass to ours. She backed in up shock and realization.

"It's a time turner…"

"I know what that looks like but If Harry vanished between 10:30 and 11:25 and here we are at 6:44 how is that still there?"

"From what I learned from Professor Dibbet at Durmstrang, time turners when in use vanish to the wearer of the object no matter what. So, if what we're assuming happened indeed came to fruition this is the question. If this is what Harry had used to go back in time, then what would it still be doing lodged in the tree?"

Now of course we got an answer as a random barn owl suddenly swooped from the sky near our location. Nearly 300 ft, ahead of the tree we could see her start to poke at the snowbank repeatedly.

"Hermione move…"

"Ronald…"

I ran full sprint to the awaiting owl as she continually pecked the hill repeatedly. Hermione finally joined me out of breath as can be while poking the bag in anger.

"Jeez Ron, New Years Eve is not the place to be doing this…" But I shushed her as the snow gave way to a very familiar shape. We couldn't make it out completely but in the near decade we've known him, his glasses are the easiest telltale sign.

"Oh my…"

Tears began to form and freeze near instantaneously on her eyes as she stood shell-shocked at the turn of events.

"No…"

Hermione held me and continued weeping but the owl now picked up the discarded glasses and moved toward us. Now I could start to tell that it was trying to get our attention specifically.

"What the…" The nose bridge now showed a tiny paper scrolled up on the rim. Somehow not wet and falling apart. As she grabbed the paper away, I looked at the glasses thinking the worst had befallen Harry. But for some reason the bird somehow would not fly off that quickly.

ENGORGIO! The tiny scroll had now blown up to its full size. As we looked, we could tell it was weirdly made yet we knew what it had come from.

"It's a corner of the Marauders Map."

But now it had been re purposed and we could see where we were in proportion to the burrow, the barn owl and a timer in the corner counting us down to the point where we had to go back.

"Ron look here!" Now she pointed out something new a small dot right by the countdown that showed a wand tip, like the maps purpose I finally decided to try the intended effect when you open it.

"I solemnly swear that I am up to no good."The Map itself had now wiped completely and a journal entry had now taken its place. As the words formed, we were in disbelief at what it spelled out.

"Harry?" Hermione pondered while I began reading aloud.

Ron & Hermione

If His calculations are accurate then you should be seeing this on December 31st 1999 at approximately 6:51 P.M. I want you both to know that I am fine, but the series of events that must unfold in order for me to return, have to go in this exact method. The piece of the Marauders Map which I've altered will give you the locations of not only 5 Jars of Pensive Solution but Where you will also find my body. As I write this on December 2, 1926, I will be placed into a near vegetative frozen state the next day on what will become the land where the Weasley Burrow will eventually be built. You must find me by 11:50 P.M. that night or I will finally give out and perish.

Ron, If this doesn't end up working please tell Ginny that she was right, I could do better. This will show her I can.

Your clock is ticking….

We were a bit shocked at what had now transpired as the Barn owl once again swooped our way and landed on my grabbed the map away and switched it back to the task at hand.

MISCHIEF MANAGED "For Now…" As it had gone back to map view 5 dots now shown with 5 descriptions. Jumper, Chamber, Army, Wedding, and Battle.

"Come on Ron, our clock is ticking…" We headed off into the landscape now knowing more was at stake then we figured.

November 30, 1926 Queens

"You do have an appetite Mr. Radcliffe." The sandwich was the least of my concerns as I gobbled it down in one bite. Queenie looked on at the customers trying to see if they were staring at me, the nut from Nebraska.

"Haven't eaten in…"

"5 Hours, or in your case 73 years,"

Her words although meant as a joke made me choke but somehow, I could now feel myself getting Heimlich by another who happened to walk in.

"Take it easy…."

As I got my breath back the gentleman happened to sit down next to us. He was figured for sure but somehow, I could tell there was something off about him. Until my host pointed it out.

"Mr. Graves what a nice surprise."

Now I wanted to be choking again as I was unknowingly in front of Grindlewald himself. The guise was convincing enough at least.

"Your sister asked me to see about getting Mr. Radcliffe closer to getting out of the city. Figured you be on his way back to Nebraska."

I nearly began to mouth Revolio when Queenie tapped me on the leg to hold me off.

"Figured he could eat first before I do that, he seemed hungry enough."

With that tension out of the way Graves walked off while Queenie turned her attention back to me.

"You don't want to change the course of events to come."

"What events, what do you know…"

"Just glimpses, and something told me that it wasn't time yet for a glimpse to show itself. Now as for you, I do believe I can send you where you need to be at the moment."

Without realizing it I found my self apperating to a boat in the middle of the the deck of the ship I screamed out in a loudly quiet tone.

"How the bloody hell could this get any worse!"

A small green thing exited my bag and crawled along the deck heading off just as I hear footsteps coming this way.

"That's How!"

My legs sped off unknowingly spearheading me to a fateful moment.
