Satan - (part 2)
11) Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
12) Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord God; Thou seals up the sum, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.
I covered in the first half of this study, that Tyrus means "sharp as flint" / "knife of flint" or "sharp as a sword".
Now: "thou seals up the sum, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty".
"Seal" means "to stop", "mark" or "make end" (of). The word is used in context of a king who puts his seal on a document. This is the king's decree. Here is what he has decided and this is the official rendering.
"Sum" is derived from a string of "add ons" to the root word, which means "to estimate". It's akin to the principle of "consider the cost when building a tower". One makes an estimated hypothesis of measure when constructing something. The "sum" in this context, is the domaine of the entire created order.
Lucifer was the "signet" of the King's decree on what He'd created. He was the "head honcho" angel. He was the "project foreman" set as a "covering cherub" over (initially) appears to be the "face of the deep"; (which would later become the Lake of Fire). Man's domaine was earth. God's domaine is heaven.
"Full of wisdom" means to be well instructed, to be well learned. (And in those who are humble; means to remain teachable!) Pride turns "wisdom" into mere parroted knowledge. And like Paul speaks of "gifts" exercised without love, are nothing but a clanging gong or tinkling cymbal. The "speech" ceases to be an intentional communication and becomes merely noise.
"Perfect" (Now here's an interesting word!). This is not the typical "perfect" as in "whole" or "complete". This word is used to describe animal sacrifices that are completely burned.
"Beauty" This word comes from a root that portrays the idea of beauty through being a luminous source. The "add on" to the root means to be "decked", "arrayed" or "dressed" in conjunction with one's own luminousness.
So the implication of this verse is that Lucifer "became" the head angel because he was a "quick study". He succeeded being tried ("burned") by showing initiative in "learning" God by observing the creation process. He put effort into attaining his position.
Now was that motivated already by greed having been corrupted by evil? That doesn't seem to be the case until after the creation of man. I'll get to why I come to that conclusion a bit later.
13) Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.
Now what do all these stones mean and what are tabrets and pipes?
The "precious stones" were his "covering".
"Precious" means to be "heavy" in value. These were costly stones implied as "bought with a price". These stones were Lucifer's "covering"; or rather what he'd been "decked", "arrayed" or "dressed" in.
Sardius - "dyed red" - The covering for the tabernacle was made of skins dyed red.
Topaz - Job mentions the topaz of Ethiopia. Probable origin of word "Topaz".
Diamond - "to smite"
Beryl - Akin to "Tarshish" also "Tharshis"; a Benjamite possibly color of yellow jasper.
Onyx - From unusual root probably meaning "to blanch".
Jasper - "to polish"
Sapphire - "to tally" (a written record)
Emerald - "to glisten"
Carbuncle - "lightening" or "flashing sword"
Gold - "shimmer" but also used as measure of weight, description of the sky / weather.
Now anyone who looks up these stones will note that they were all to be mounted in gold and placed in the breast plate of the high priest. (Exodus 28) There were 3 other stones in the breast plate that are not in this list:
Ligure - stone of unknown origin, but described as having magnetic properties.
Agate - from two words "to be carried away" and "in flame".
Amethyst - Possibly from the word "to dream". Also prophetic or false prophetic dreams.
The stones in the breast plate were to represent the tribes of Israel. Which stone represented which tribe isn't stated. We might be able to make some educated guesses based on descriptions of tribes, or an understanding of their occupation or duties (like Levites being "sapphire" i.e. "to tally a written record").
I find the stones that aren't named as having "covered" Lucifer to be pretty interesting though. One is "magnetic" (i.e. "draw all men to me"), another "carried away" (to be) "tried by fire" and the third is "prophetic" (i.e. proclaims God's word). Note; all of these have to do with the gospel. (Was "he" who was to be decked with those stones Christ?)
Which this goes along with my hypothesis about Lucifer and Adam; (which I still haven't gotten to yet). I'll get there, I promise. Let's finish the text first.
"The workmanship of your timbrits and pipes."
"The workmanship" - is the task one is sent to; the occupation assigned.
"Timbrits" - are small hand held drums with bells on them. (Having a bit of a disconnect here picturing Satan as a Spanish dancer with tambourines. LOL!)
"Pipes" - a bezel or setting a gem is placed in.
These things were established in Lucifer as part of his being, from the "day" he was created. The word "day" is the word "yom" which explains to us that Satan was part of the 6 day creation. What day were angels created on? The only option we are left with is "day #1" because Job 38:4-7 states that the angels were present when God laid the foundation of the earth.
Job 38:7 "When sang together the stars (plural), (the) morning (singular), shouting for joy all (singular) sons (plural) of God (plural)."
Now as is named here in Job; we have "stars", "the morning star", "singing" and the "sons of God" "shouting for joy". The "stars" here are not stars (suns or planets) in the cosmos because they have not been created yet. They are created on day four along with earth's planetary sun and moon.
So if Lucifer is a "cherub" I would venture to guess that the "stars" mentioned here are other "cherubs". "Cherubim and Seraphim" are a type of angel that are described as having wings that cover their bodies.
Now who are the "sons of God"?
Given the context of this study; I would not say they are extra-terrestrial life forms; but apparently are some form of non-carbon based entity. I conclude this based on the fact that carbon based life had not been created yet and obviously planetary life is of some form of "carbon based".
I would hypothesis that they are the "ministering spirit" type of angel who are sent to assist and protect humans. Now are these the types of angels that (as theory may have it) put on carbon molecular appearance when instructed to "materialize"? That would make logical sense. Gabriel and Michael (who in reality are more theophonic figures than "angels" per se) would fall into this category.
Although Michael is called an "archangel" or "chief messenger" and Gabriel is also usually seen as an "archangel". They are theophonic depictions of Christ. The name Michael means "who most assuredly is God" and Gabriel means "God man". Michael is depicted as the lead general of the angelic host and Gabriel we see as a messenger. Gabriel generally only appears in relation to prophetic information about Christ. He appears to Daniel, Mary, Joseph and Zachariah (John the Baptist's father).
There are also two fallen angels named in the Scripture. One is Lucifer / Satan and the other is named in Revelation 9:11 as Abaddon / Apollyon. (Hebrew / Greek - in both languages the name means "destruction".) He is the "angel" of the bottomless pit. The name is only given in Revelation; but the Hebrew word is used 6 other places in the Scripture and is always translated as "destruction". It is also always named with either "hell", "fire" and / or "death".
Now "Abandon / Apollyon" may be Satan's "chained in the bottomless pit" "new" name; for he is / will be in a state of perpetual destruction.
"Sons of God" on the other hand is used in two places in the Old Testament. (Genesis and Job) and four places in the New Testament (John, Romans, Philippians and 1 John). Interestingly, the places in the Old Testament; it's pretty clear the texts are talking about non-human entities. In the New Testament; it pretty clearly states that believers are "now" / "have become" the "sons of God". (Interesting flip there.)
I previously explained in the last chapter "the nephilim incident" and how the "sons of god" (in this instance) aided by cooperation of human males, created these "might men of renown" back in history past.
And with that; I just recently came across another verse that defines who these "men of renown" were. They were of the "cleric class". This obviously was before Abraham, so they weren't "Jewish clerics"; but that definition of "men of renown" being clerics, does come out of Numbers. (Numbers 16:2) These were "princes in the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown" who opposed Moses. This is the incident where the ground opens up and swallows a bunch of rebellious people.
Back to the "sons of God". We see the "sons of God" (big G) in Job present themselves to the Lord. If these are indeed "ministering spirits" they may be relaying to God the accomplishments of their given missions. Obviously from the context of Job being written post flood; we know these aren't the disobedient "sons of god". We know this because 2 Peter tells us God condemned those "angels who left their first estate" to be "reserved in chains". So if they are reserved in chains, obviously they are not appearing before God.
Interestingly though, Satan is appearing among the "sons of God". How these other demons are "reserved in fire" and Satan is still "running around loose"; I'm not sure? (Other than having usurped Adam's kingdom from him.) There does not seem to be any indication here that he is trying to disguise himself as a "son of God"; but that may be, seeing how he disguises himself as an angel of light and he is the "accuser of the brethren", as we see here in Job. We also see where Satan disputes with Michael over the body of Moses; but that doesn't seem to have happened "in heaven" as Moses's carcass would not have been "in heaven".
Now in John 12 we have Satan being thrown out of heaven at the commencement of the atonement and obviously at the completion thereof (the resurrection) he is never allowed back in. Also, in Revelation we see that he is cast down to earth and is in a mighty furry because he knows his time is short. (He's also "bound for 1000 years" and loosed at the end "to deceive the nations" once more.)
So, Satan's scheme from the resurrection on, is to cause as much destruction as possible. Not that he didn't try prior, because the only thing he's actually capable of is destroying. Yet now that he knows his end draws near; his wrath is great. He's "going down" "suicide by cop" and taking as much "collateral damage" as he can manage to inflict with him.
Which, this makes me wonder about things like the American embassy move, Trump, the Cyrus coin, the Temple Institute, Covid, supply chain issues, civil unrest, famine, and the general political stability of the world? I could be wrong here, but I think the "beast system" is trying to force the premileenial dispensational narrative onto the world scene. (See END TIMES? "Covid 19 and Bible Prophecy?")
14) Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
"Anointed cherub" - Anoint means to consecrate to a certain task and a cherub is a "type" of angel.
"That covers" - This word "covers" means to protect or defend. Now what was Lucifer suppose to protect or defend? If he was appointed as the "signet" of the King upon the "face of the deep"; was he to protect creation from this "reactive evil" that was present as a result of God's creative action?
Let's continue on. The text may answer that question.
"Upon holy mount of God" (having) "walked up and down the midst of the stones of fire" - Let's take this phrase as a whole, because obviously the "stones of fire" are part of the "holy mount of God".
Now these stones Lucifer was ornamented with apparently are these "stones of fire". Fire in the Scripture represents the proclamation of judgement. Judgement either refines someone (the son that is chastened) or it condemns them for their disobedience.
This goes along with "darkness upon the face of the deep" being a "prototype" of the Lake of Fire. There's no need for the lake of fire until there is transgression in the creation. Yet if Lucifer is walking among the "stones of fire"; that would indicate a knowledge that there is a judgement pending, at least upon the reactive evil. Part of the "knowledge of good and evil" is that God knew He'd have to contend with that "reactive evil" as soon as He created anything.
So this raises another interesting question. We know that God knew Adam would transgress. God knew that was inevitable. Apparently God would have also known Lucifer would fall too. Yet was the "extent of atonement" required, dependent on the will of the creatures whom would be on the receiving end of it?
We know the wages of sin is death and those who are condemned, earn their wage based on the sin they've committed. There are inherent degrees of punishment built into the system.
We also know that on account of the entity God is; He's capable of dealing "in real time" with the decisions creatures make. What any and all of their actions would be, does not need to be "planned out" for God to "control". To have omniscience does not entail the need to create a world that can be "micromanaged"; especially for One who is omnipresent, as well as omnipotent.
So knowing that creatures' actions in time are "fluid"; how did that (or did it even) affect the extent of atonement required? If it did; it's a moot point now because the atonement is accomplished. Yet, being the "lamb slain from the foundation of the world" it was actually a "moot point" before creation was ever commenced upon. And maybe this is why Paul describes redemption in terms of those "being saved", "being justified", "being reconciled"; because the manifestation of redemption in the life of the believer happens in "real time".
15) Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
First off, this verse obviously indicates to us that there was a time between Lucifer's creation and his fall. There came a point "iniquity was found". He was not "created evil". Besides, that would have gone contrary to God's character.
"Blameless you were in your journey from the day you were created until injustice was found out of you."
16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
"From the multitude of your trafficking you became filled up with violence and you have missed the mark; therefore I will pierce you (hollow you out) of the mountain of God and I will destroy you: O covering cherub from among the stones of fire."
Now if we make an analogy of this verse to "the mount of God" being a "constructed place"; we see Lucifer was "the roof on the house". The "mount of God" is named in the Old Testament as Mount Horeb.
"Horeb" comes from a root word meaning "to destroy".
"Sinai" comes from the name "Sin" which is believed to have been the name of a city or region in Egypt. The word is Egyptian in origin and may actually be the Egyptian name for Eden? (Hang onto that thought; you'll understand why I say that in a minute.) Sinai obviously is the mountain where Moses received the law.
The two mountains apparently were in close proximity to each other because the golden calf incident happened in the valley thereof. Some scholars think it's the same mountain because "Horeb" is called "the mount of God". It's probably more like mount Moriah though, where it's a mountain with more than one peek. Horeb is where Moses struck the rock and water came out. So "Horeb" which means "to destroy" is the place of judgement.
Now if heaven is God's throne and earth is His footstool; is Sinai unto Horeb as Earth as is to Sheol? (Earth is without form and void and darkness is upon the face of the deep.) Is one a "step" to the other; for God has delivered His people "out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage". We are in bondage to sin, which the recompense is the wage that we earn.
Was Lucifer created as the "covering" to Sheol? We know he was the "roof" (or maybe actually the floor) on the mount of God, which is mount Horeb, which is the "mount of destruction"? Is this what Revelation means when the 5th angel (Christ) took "wormwood" (Satan) "opened" (removed him as the "roof") and threw him in; (chaining him into the bottomless pit)? This happened at the resurrection because now Christ (as the second Adam) wrested Adam's kingdom away from Satan. Christ now has the "keys to death and hell"; having done now what He promised here in Ezekiel, to remove the corrupt cherub!
And here's where the earthy analogy gets interesting.
Satan was in the Garden of Eden. The tree of the knowledge of good and evil was in Eden. The first commands were given in Eden. Transgression brought death into the world through Eden.
Was Satan in Eden because he was the "covering cherub" of Mt. Horeb? Note cherubim were sent into Eden to guard the tree of life (because Adam and Eve didn't "do their job" - I'll get to that later). Was Eden the "middle space" (the Mt. Sinai) between God's throne (Mt Horeb) and the Lake of Fire? Satan was suppose to be the "covering cherub" for the Lake of Fire; yet he ascended to Eden to usurp Adam's kingdom.
Was Sinai and Horeb (where Israel received the law, as well as worship the golden calf); what "was left" of Eden in the material world? Moses struck the rock at Horeb to get water. (The river of life ran through the Garden of Eden.) Moses also encountered the burning bush on Horeb (the tree of life). God spoke to Moses out of the burning bush. The tree of life is a metaphor for Christ. The tree of life was in the middle of Eden.
Moses made the serpent on the pole in Mt. Hor. (Hor means "mountain of mountains".) Aaron died in Hormah. (Hormah means "mountain of destruction".) Hormah was on the Northern side of the kingdom of Israel, on the east side of the city of Petra. The serpents came upon the people because they were complaining of the bread. Could this location be where the tree of the knowledge of good and evil had been? The symbolism sure fits!
17) Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.
Now here's why Satan was removed!
His "heart" (this is not the word "soul")…. It is most often translated "heart". Its secondly most translated "mind".
This gives credence to the idea that angels aren't actually "life forms". They aren't actually "alive"; they don't have "souls" because they don't contain the "breath of life". They obviously are sentient entities with intelligence and they know the difference between right and wrong. They are capable of sin. They have "consciousness", (know morals) but not "conscience"; in that they can make independent decisions to obey or disobey, once they have disobeyed.
Once an angel falls, there is no going back. The fall is "total" and "complete" and they cease to desire to obey morals. Humans on the other hand, don't lose that capacity. This is what makes us both redeemable and accountable for our sin. Angels are accountable (because they have consciousness (or sentience)); but they can't un-decide once they've transgressed. There is no redemption for angels.
Which this brings into consideration the nature of their intelligence. Are angels "more intelligent" than humanity? Probably not, as far as their capacity to reason goes. Creative thought, which is necessary for reasoning capacity, is part of being created in God's image. Animals have a limited ability to "reasoning" capacity; although they can learn and utilize behaviors that mimic social constructs that humans interpret as "anthropomorphic"; (like gratitude, love and empathy). This does not mean that animals can't "love" in context of their own ability to "reason"; but their capacity to "reason out" a course of action, certainly isn't as complex as humans.
Are angels similar in this venue? Good question. They certainly have an intelligence capacity that is higher than animals. They are capable of retaining vast quantities of sentient knowledge. (Even more so than man.) Satan in particular is probably the most knowledgeable entity (outside of Father, Son and Holy Ghost) that exists within the current created order. Lacking creative reasoning capacity though; he can't outsmart the elect. He has to borrow his creative repertoire from fallen humanity. He can learn, but it doesn't seem from verse 12, that he can teach himself something new. Also, apparently, he's really good at manipulation; which he would have learned from centuries of observing fallen humanity.
So does the nature of angels' form of intelligence answer the question as to when they fall, why they are unredeemable? This appears to be the reason.
"Because of your beauty".
"Beauty" here means "fairness" (or unblemished state). This appears to be connected to "you were complete". Lucifer was "complete and beautiful" because of "moral justness".
"…you have corrupted (destroyed) your ability to be wise, by reason of (against) your brightness (to shine, or stand out)."
Lucifer pitted his own wisdom against his ability to stand out. There will always be one/One to shine brighter and ultimately that one is God.
In enters Adam:
And here is where I think Lucifer was tripped up by the creation of Adam. Adam was created in the image of God, but obviously did not bear the attributes of Divinity in that he was not omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, immortal or from everlasting to everlasting. The temporal nature of Adam's being, is what allowed Lucifer to usurp dominion from him.
Yet on account of Adam's creative reasoning capacity, Adam was too "smart" for Lucifer. He had to go through Eve. Eve was deceivable, although not because of intellectual inferiority; but out of the emotional capacity to yearn to be wise as God is wise.
Some people claim Eve wanted to usurp Adam's position to God; but that does not seem to be the case, because the injunction of Adam to "rule over" Eve didn't come until after the fall. Their pre-fall relation to God was functionally egalitarian, even though Eve was created from Adam as his helper. We know they both had equal access because God presented Eve to Adam and when the serpent speaks to Eve; she says: "God said…." not "Adam told me God said….". Now she didn't quote God accurately, but she'd heard the command strait from God.
Adam and Eve's function to each other was a relational one and their first command, (after "be fruitful and multiply") was to "keep the garden". Their relationship reflected the relational reality of love within the Godhead and both Adam and Eve could come to understand how the persons of the Godhead interacted, even though that relationship was not observable, because the only One Adam and Eve could actually "see" was this theophonic representation of Christ. Although Adam and Eve being materially created entities, expressed their understanding of the Divine relationship among themselves through "be fruitful and multiply".
Now the Lord who "walked in the garden" with Adam (and Eve) was a theophonic representation of Jesus Christ and though I'm sure Adam and Eve were aware of the existence of the Father; nothing in the text indicates they had direct access to Him. Eve though, obviously able to see the limitations they both had as created entities, set her desire for wisdom upon the wisdom of God. For as much wisdom as Eve could see Adam had obtained from God; she also knew the Lord who "walked" with them, was the source of that wisdom. So "get it strait from the horse's mouth" makes the most sense to the temporal creature.
Now was this an actual 3 dimensional theophonic presence? Maybe, but we don't actually have enough information to know that. The "post fall" verse says they "heard the voice of the Lord walking…."; but had they actually seen a presence at some point in time? And if so; what form would that presence have taken?
Adam "created in God's image"; one would assume a theophonic form would have appeared as a human. Prior to the fall though, both Adam and Eve were naked, so a clothed theophany would not have made sense to them. Also a "pillar of smoke" or "fire" would not have made sense to them either. So if there was the appearance of a physical presence, it probably was not a "tangible" earthly human form. Although it could have been a glorified human form, because Adam and Eve had not fallen yet and so to see God's glory would not have killed them.
Note though, Eve's desire was not set on God, but rather on His wisdom. Which hearkens to the second command they were given; to "keep the garden". Now "keep the garden" is actually a military term, meaning they were to guard and protect the garden. And obviously they failed to do that; because… how'd this snake get in here?
And here is likely the point we know when Lucifer fell; (at the point he shows up in the garden, he's left his domaine as the covering cherub of the "face of the deep", thus allowing corruption into the "middle world" of the created order. And now that "evil" "seeped" into the "middle world"; we see a change in Adam and Eve, even before they eat the fruit and "officially sin".
We see this same concept with Cain when God addresses him about his fallen continence and sin crouching at his door. Does this actually mean that we are all confronted (proverbially speaking) with our own "tree of the knowledge of good and evil" and the propensity to sin is a result of the presence of evil in the world because the "covering cherub" is no longer protecting this realm from evil?
(See Bible Study: Theory on Origin of Evil)
So did Eve's desire for God's wisdom create jealousy in Adam? (She surpassed him for the "Man" who possessed all wisdom because He couldn't sin.) That's possible; but either way, something was amiss because somewhere in Adam was birthed the desire to disobey when he was confronted with the fruit.
And so herein lies something Adam may have known that Eve didn't. He very well may have had this conversation with the Lord, that if she'd eaten the fruit and he didn't. He knew that would have created a dilemma for himself, knowing he did not actually possess the love of God that would enable him to sacrifice himself for her transgression. (He couldn't anyways because he did not bear the attributes of God.)
If Adam had flat out refused to eat the fruit "ever"; then the test would have passed to the next generation and somewhere in the mix, someone would have eaten the fruit; (thus facilitating being kicked out of the garden) because humans, by temporal nature of what we are, are corruptible.
And so, because humans are created as relational beings; Satan could bring them both down by deceiving one.
"I will cast you down to earth. I will expose you before kings (believers) that they may see (what) you (really are)."
18) Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.
By the multitude of the punishments for your iniquity; for the injustice of your trafficking; (because) you pierced through your sacred position: I brought forth the fire from your midst. It devours you and I turned you to ashes (dust) upon the earth, in the sight of the whole of those who witnessed this. (The redeemed.)
The fire from "the face of the deep" was kindled because of Lucifer's transgression. This is why the "face of the deep" becomes the Lake of Fire. "Death and hell" are cast into the Lake of Fire at the end of time.
The "ashes" (dust) just like Adam whom Lucifer despised; Satan now knows what it means to die the "three fold" death. All that Satan worked for to usurp the kingdom from Adam (the kingdom that he labored for) becomes dust in the recreation of the heavens and the earth. Satan experiences eternal wrath when he's cast into the lake of fire on Judgement Day.
19) All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.
"Knew" - This is the same word "Adam knew Eve…" (and she conceived children). Those who "know" Satan; (in the sense of the language of Revelation 13 have "sought" / "run after" the mark of the beast).
"Astonished" (at thee) - Are made desolate. (Think "abomination that makes desolate".) They who worshiped Satan in their false religions, now understand the bankruptcy of their false religion, like they've never understood it before. They too now see Satan for what he was.
"A terror (frightful master) you shall never be, forever more."
False religion is a terrorizing master, because there is no rest in this life or the next. Works gospels never bring any peace. Antinomian gospels never bring any peace either.
The sad irony is that though Satan is no longer the terror; God is. They who disobeyed God, now see for what Satan really was, who they followed. Double whammy. Not only the fake gospel they followed failed to save them; now they are confronted with their disobedience to the true and living God.
The rest of the chapter goes on to explain the state of the unredeemed. They themselves have been confronted with the truth in one form or another, through multitudes of believers and witness of creation, as well as events around them that they are now confronted with God's presence. They knew His presence was there prior to death; yet they denied it.
And now those genuine believers that the unregenerate rejected, marginalized, mocked, ignored, and in some cases killed; they will see those people are in a land of peace. They will see them in the new heavens and new earth.
Now in no place in Scripture that I've found; does it indicate that those in the new heavens and new earth are actually able to see those in the Lake of Fire. Do those in the new heavens and new earth have any awareness of the specifics of those in the Lake of Fire? I haven't found any evidence of that either. Will believers have any "memories" of those they knew who ended up in the Lake of Fire? I don't know the answer to that either. Do they have awareness that there are those under the wrath of God? Probably, because they are aware of being redeemed.
Yet, according to the remainder of this passage, those in the Lake of Fire can see those in the new heavens and new earth. This idea runs parallel to the story of the rich man and Lazarus; even though that story is not specifically "the Lake of Fire"; that passage names the "place" as "hell" (Sheol).
There are more passages about Satan; which I will get to... when I get around to getting to them.
