A/N: Drabble-ish stuff of our ODC, unconnected to anything, just plot (dust?) bunnies hopping around in my head, disturbing my peace (or laziness for that matter). I have a ton of that on my hard drive, so there might be more to come. Read at your own risk :-D

The bathroom

.

To the left side of his ginormous bedroom, William opens a stately door that opens to a wide room.

"Who lives here?" I ask.

"This is the closet." He deadpans, throwing me a look saying Really? I eye him with incredulity.

"Who the hell lives in a closet?"

"No one does, silly. This is for clothes. You know… Clothes – closet. Closet – clothes?"

Okay, now I'm stunned. "Who the fudge needs so much clothes that they warrant a closet of such epic proportions?"

"Believe it or not, Lizzy, but as much as I detest it, I'm basically a public figure besides being a business man. I have a lot of public and business obligations and engagements that expect a certain wardrobe."

"Oh my, how the other half lives… What's over there? More clothes of regal importance?" I point to the door on the other side of the dance hall that he labels a closet. He sighs.

"No, that's just the bathroom."

"I have to see that one. I'm a girl and I have expectations, you know. After this closet here." He chuckles quietly and guides me over to the bathroom door. Once that opens, I'm in heaven, celebrating Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving and New Years all in one.

"Jesus Christ!" I sure look like I hit the jackpot. "Now, this I can work with! Can I move in here?" I ask him with childish enthusiasm. Without waiting for a reply, I set about to explore this magnificent result of interior bathroom design. "I don't need a closet if I had this! I would just stay naked."

William laughs out loudly and then settles his gaze at me with wistful adoration.

"Any other woman would rave about the prospect of being able to shop to fill that huge closet with all the clothes they ever desired… and you would rather stay naked and slum away in the bathroom."

"I'm a creature of leisure."

"You're weird."

"You're awkward."

"But I love you."

"Nobody's perfect."

"I think you are."

"Oh Darcy, I guess you should see a doctor. Your perception of reality is obviously damaged."

"As long as it includes you naked in my bathroom, I guess my reality is just fine."

A/N #2 - Yeah, you probably thought, I died. I'm painfully aware that OVERCOME has idled for over a year now. I've not given up on it, but my headspace has been firmly set within the Modern AU sphere of P&P fanfiction for quite some time now and so far I wasn't able to wrap it back around the Regency era. So, I spend my time with reading and reading loads of fanfiction here and typing away those flashes of (modern AU) inspiration that nearly nag me constantly. It's like there's a bigger story looming in the background that is still hasn't taken shape yet but "leaks" from my brain from time to time...
