"Heather if you're reading this, I guess that's bad news for me. Sorry, but I couldn't let Hiccup fly you into a trap. Tell our little brother that if he really wants to hurt Viggo, hit his next dragon auction. It moves around, but if he turns over enough rocks, some worm will tell him where it is. One other thing, I didn't kill our father. When he disappeared, I let people believe that, so they would think I was tough enough to be chief. I did a lot of things I am sorry for, but I couldn't rest in peace knowing you thought I did that. Be Safe. Your brother, Dagur."

She stared at Dagur's letter as rain pour over her, blending easily with her salty tears.
He didn't do it.
Dagur didn't kill their father.
All this time, she had resented him, but he had been innocent.
Now he was gone for good, and her heart squeezed painfully at the thought.
Heather let out a sob, glaring at the ink smudging against the cold rainwater. She began to feel shivers rip through her. At last when her fingertips began to turn numb, she santuarated back inside, the letter still firmly in her hold.
For the longest time, she stared into emptiness as she dried her hair.
She had spent so much time planning out his death, never reconsidered or questioned her dark feelings.
Until now.
Heather eventually buried her face into the bedsheets as fresh tears began to escape.
Luckily, the raw emotion and exhaustion soon put her into a deep slumber.

The next morning Heather woke up to a headache. Eyes still bleary but mind more at ease as the pain in her heart subdued.
During lunch Dagur's last words rang through her mind again when her eyes flickered across Hiccup.
"Tell our little brother that if he really wants to hurt Viggo, hit his next dragon auction."
"Tell our little brother..."
Heather noticed said brother's eyes boring into her.
He appeared worried and she couldn't help but smile at that.
"You alright, Heather?" he asked, concern laced heavily in his tone. He was always so accommodating and caring towards everyone.
Heather shook her head, biting back another smile. "I'm fine."
"Alright. Just remember, you still have us. We are your family now," Hiccup reassured softly, before standing up to retrieve his food.
Heather nodded in thanks, watching his retreating form with fondness and relief.
She may have lost her brother by blood, and it hurt that she never really knew him. But..
Her eyes grazed over Hiccup again.
Dagur was right about one thing.
Heather still had a little brother to look out for.
A brother, not by blood. But by heart.
A/N: *SCREAMS* Season 3 was AMAZING. I am so sad Dagur died but the writers finally acknowledged Hiccup as their brother! Hiccup is considered as Dagur and Heather's little brother and that is so adorable!
