RWBY Ruby goes to Haven

"Why do you have a poison on your dagger that eats Aura? Grimm don't have Aura!" Selina demanded looking at Ruby alarmed and in jealousy while Ruby smiled brightly as she skipped back towards her team.

"Oh I'm training to be a special type of Huntress. I'm going to be an Onyx Huntress." Ruby said brightly while the others except Headmistress Stone sucked in sharp breaths at this. An Onyx Hunter or Huntress was often the most dangerous kind of Huntress. They were the ones sent after rouge Hunters as well as the strongest Grimm and, recently, the Elite White Fang as well. Any threat to the populace that had Aura, the Onyx Hunters were the ones dispatched to deal with it.

"But you're just a cub!" Arslan said dismayed at the thought of the cub having to fight against and possibly kill other humans and Faunus.

"Won't always be this little." Ruby said pouting a bit as she collected her dagger before she grinned as she sped over and jump on Headmistress Stone, making everyone freeze as they looked at the sight. The tiny reaper was hugging the stern no nonsense woman as if she had just been given a priceless gift.

"I did it I did it I did it! Thank you for inviting me here!" Ruby said hugging the taller woman who gave a surprised laugh at the small girls exuberance and surprise hug. The other students gaped as Ruby clinged onto the older woman who smiled slightly down at her and patted her on the head. Something which did not fit her image in the slightest bit at all.

"You've earned your spot little reaper. Just keep this up and make me proud." Sylvia said smiling slightly as she ruffled the girls hair, earning a wide beaming grin and a rapid near super speed nod of the head. Something that made the girl look almost like a bobble head figure.

"I will I promise!" Ruby said beaming brightly up at the woman whose smile was just a bit wider as she gently detangled herself from the younger girl. She could have easily pried the girl off with brute force and hurt her… but instead she very gently untangled the small reader from her body without hurting the little one at all.

"Now that the matches are over, I will hand you all over to my colleague Headmaster Lionheart. He handles the school board, field trips, and funds, I handle the recruitment and some of the classes." Sylvia said coughing to regain her composure as she saw all of the freshmen students gaping in disbelief at her and at Ruby as well.

"The rest of you will be going with him for the formal orientation. Ms. Rose, Ms. Altan. As the Omega and Alpha students you will be coming with me to meet with the other Omega's and Alpha's in the upper years." Sylvia said making the two teens nod and begin to walk behind her as another man came walking in and nodded to Sylvia although he looked a good bit nervous at the sight of the woman. Actually when Ruby happily waved at him he gapped and then recoiled from her in shock and what looked like horror.

"Shall we?" Arslan asked holding her hand out to Ruby and causing the girl to grin brightly and latch onto the older girls hand happily as they walked behind the older woman. Ruby was waving their joined hands back and forth like a child which earned a soft smile from the older girl.

"We're off to see the wizard. The wonderful wizard of Oz!" Ruby sang making Headmistress Stone give a strangled snort of amusement.

"I'm afraid that he's at Beacon." Sylvia said her voice a bit strangled and she was so very much wanting to be there when the Vytal Festival happened just so she could see Ruby sing that where Ozpin or Goodwitch could hear her.

"Darn." Ruby snapped her fingers with a small pout, looking as if her grand plan was foiled.

"Wait until the Vytal Festival. It's at Beacon this year." Sylvia said as she led them down the hall towards the meeting room where all of the Omega and Alphas of the older years were already gathered.

"You got it boss lady." Ruby said grinning widely at that and then they stopped in front of the door and Headmistress Stone grinned as she reached forward to open.

"Meet the new Omega and Alpha students for the First Years." Headmistress Stone said, her serious face on, as she guided Ruby and Arslan into the room where they saw a couple of older students. The Omega's all gathered in one corner and the Alpha's in the other. It was obvious to tell which group was which because the Alpha's all had a red sash around their waist while the Omega's all had the same black and grey symbol somewhere on their clothes.

"So you're the Omega of the First Years huh? Nice to meet you." A boy with navy blue hair said stepping over to shake Arslan's hand.

"Hey there fellow Alpha! Way to go on being the Alpha of the First Years." A grinning dark green haired girl said bounding over to Ruby and wrapping an arm around her shoulder in a hug.

"Um…actually…" Ruby grinned slightly at how everyone was mistaken on who was the Alpha and who was the Omega.

"Allow me to introduce who is who." Headmistress Stone said smirking amused as she looked at them all and causing the older years to back up a bit respectfully.

"In order from Fourth year down for the Omega students there's Jet Brown, Jack Garden, and Latte Carem. For the Alpha students starting from Fourth Year and going down are Cyan Race, Peach Gomba, and Slate Brown." Headmistress Stone said pointing at each person as she said their names. All together it was pretty balanced gender wise. There were four boys and two girls but counting in Arslan and Ruby now there were four boys and four girls.

"Everyone allow me to introduce the current Omega and Alpha of the First Years. For the Alpha we have Arslan Altan. Her partner is the Omega student this year, Ruby Rose. Treat them well." Headmistress Stone said patting Arslan's shoulder and then smiling softly as she patted Ruby on the head.

"Huh." The one she pointed out as Cyan said blinking as he looked at the small reaper and then at Arslan.

"That's unexpected."
