AN: It is really late but I want to get this one thing up for Seidou Week. The prompt used for this writing was "Jealousy –envy, doubt, frustration". I don't really have much else to say other than I hope this doesn't completely suck as it's my first time writing anything like this. Enjoy~

Seidou stretched his arms above his head and involuntarily let out a small sigh. He was finally finished with his paperwork for the day. The suffocating environment of the office was weighing heavily on Takizawa. Suzuya had been an especially big pain in the butt today too. He stood from his desk and began to collect his messenger bag.

"Takizawa," Seidou almost jumped at Houji's voice. "A moment please."

The young investigator turned to his senior. "What is it sir? I was just about to pack up and head home."

"Well, it seems that a few reports you turned in earlier are not correct. You made some mistakes."

Houji didn't say it, but Seidou knew that the word 'again' was ghosting at the end of the sentence. He made some mistakes, again. Slowly, Seidou took the papers from Houji and sat back down.

"Please have those on my desk tomorrow morning." Houji slipped on his coat. "Good night, Takizawa."

Just as Seidou had grabbed a pen and was preparing to redo his reports Akira and Amon walked past his desk. The simple, disapproving glance he was given told him everything he needed to.

'He has to stay late again?'

Seidou tried to act as if he wasn't bothered by the unspoken thoughts as he hunched over his papers. However, he knew that he really was as pathetic as those thoughts painted him. Did First Class Investigator Amon ever have to stay late? No, and even if he did it would be to go above and beyond what was expected of him.

Akira made everything worse though.

With Amon, Seidou could hide behind the excuse that the man was at least five years older than him and was two ranks higher than him. Akira however… Akira was the same age and held the same rank as him. Heck, he only ranked one place lower than her when they were at school. By all means they were on the same level.

Then why she so much more loved than he was? How come people listened and cared about her opinions so much more than they did his own? The more he thought about it the more frustrated he became. Was he really that expendable? That useless? If he were to look at all the evidence- 'as a good investigator would' his mind supplied- then the answer was yes. No one would notice if one day he disappeared. No one would care if he were to die in battle.

His hands shook and before he knew it he had blotted ink all over one of his forms. The paper was completely ruined. Upon seeing this Seidou began to write something on it, almost feverishly. When he was finished, he slumped back in his chair.

After a good five minutes Seidou finally crumpled up the destroyed work, threw it away, and grabbed a new form from a filing cabinet. He quickly set about to completing it. Both so that he could go home, and also keep his negative thoughts from returning to the forefront of his mind. It took around half an hour for the investigator to complete everything, and as soon as he was finished he slung his bag over his shoulder and left.

However, the office was not empty as Seidou had thought. As soon as the investigator was gone, a young man with stunningly blonde hair appeared from behind the door where he had been hiding. He approached Takizawa's waste bin and pulled out the crumpled ball of paper. Hideyoshi read the two words that were messily scrawled across the entirety of the page.
