toast.

Jace stared up at his ceiling, bored as hell.
He was throwing a hackey sack that he had swiped from Simon earlier that week up into the air and catching it.
He continued on like this, bored. Catching and throwing almost endlessly and restlessly, it was nearly mind numbing. But what else was there to do, when he could find nothing.
He had already cleaned and even reorganized his room, Clary was busy studying for school finals and his siblings were each respectively at their partner's homes, so entertaining himself by bugging them was out as well...
He sighed, concentration breaking as he let the sack hit the floor. It was turning out to be a regular tuesday and he was beginning to hate it.
A knock sounded at his door, and confused he didn't move for a moment before the knock sounded again. Sitting up, he said aloud "Door's open.."
In mere seconds his eyes were alight as Clary popped her head in, he gave a grin leaning back against his headboard. "Come on in.." he called to her in a lascivious manner.
Clary merely grinned back and gave a laugh, opening the door more so she could come in. Gesturing to the plate in her hand she said "I made toast"
Jace, still grinning, raised an eyebrow. "And why..my dear girl did you bring me toast?"
Clary snorted, "it's not for you" she replied.
Jace raised both his brows. "okay...to clarify, why are you informing me that you made toast?"
Clary gave a shrug of shoulders, "Thought it'd be a good convo starter.."
Jace laughed, "Well it was definitely an interesting one.."
Snatching a piece and nabbing a bite, ignoring the exclamation of an annoyed 'hey', he decided maybe Tuesdays weren't so bad if he got to spend them with her...
Plus, there was toast.
