Why hello there.

Can't remember which story this was when it popped up in your email? Can't blame you I also had to reread it haha. I did cringe a bit at the first chapters, but hey 15 year old me vs 19 year old me hopefully have different writing styles lol. I'd totally go back and fix them, which hey lots of time now my country is in a full lockdown, stay home everyone and read lots of sasunaru haha. Sorry if it's short or has mistakes I'm lazy. :)

-Enjoy

Naruto felt a heavy seed in the bottom of his chest. Today was the day he was moving in with his parents. While he was happy to take such a big step in his recovery, he was also sad to be leaving everyone in the house behind. He knew he wouldn't be where he was if it weren't for Iruka taking him into his home and taking it upon him to help Naruto recover.

"Ready to go?" A voice came from the door.

Naruto knew who it was, he and Sasuke had been on shaky terms as of late. He knew Sasuke was probably mad at the fact he was leaving, but Naruto was doing this for himself, not for Sasuke.

"Yeah.." The blonde muttered out.

Sasuke scowled. "I don't understand why you are so upset with me Naruto. What did I do wrong? I didn't even know you would get mad."

Naruto knitted his brows together in frustration. Lately he had been feeling frustrated, it seemed like everyone was trying to tell him what was good for him. All the opinions were coming as him from all angels and he wasn't used to it. He was only ever used to following one set of directions, Danzo's.

"I can get mad if I w-want to." Naruto said to the ground.

"Just tell me what I did wrong." Sasuke pleaded.

"You're not the one who can tell me what to do!"

The two stood there in shock. Naruto wasn't one to ever raise his voice, and everyone in the house who heard him knew this was a long time coming. He had to snap at one point.

Sasuke knew he had to choose his next words carefully, but the rising anger in his chest didn't agree. "And who's that? Danzo-"

"What if it was?" Naruto interjected. He was panting at this point, his emotions becoming all too much for him.

A hand carefully landed on Sasuke's shoulder. Iruka gave the boy a calm look and shook his head.

"Come on Naruto," The older man said. "Let's get you to your parents huh?"

Tears welled in Naruto's eyes and the boy reached out for Iruka, who quickly took the boy into his arms. Harsh sobs came from the blonde as he clutched onto Iruka for dear life.

"It's going to be okay Naruto." Iruka soothed.

Naruto shook his head. "It wont, I can hear him in my head and everyone else outside of it."

Iruka took a deep breath. He had hoped Naruto wouldn't relapse so hard, but three steps forward and two steps back it seemed. Grabbing a tissue from the box on the side table he got naruto to blow his nose and wipe his eyes. "Deep breaths, you'll move on Naruto. This isn't easy and you have been doing way better than any of us expected. You are so brave and resilient, I admire your strength so much."

Steadying his breaths Naruto nodded and stood on shaky legs. Before he lost any kind of nerve he had he grabbed his bag and walked out of his room and down the stairs to where he knew his parents were waiting.

Kushina had a tight lipped smile as she saw her son's red eyes, she wanted to hug him so badly but restrained herself for her son's sake. "Ready to go Naruto?"

Naruto nodded as his father took his bag off him. The boy turned to look at Kakashi, slowly made his way over and put his arms around the man who changed his life forever. "Thank you for everything Kakashi." He whispered.

The cop felt his heart clench. This boy had come such a long way from when he had first found him in that basement. "I'll always be here for you Naruto, anything you need."

The boy nodded as he turned to face his parents giving them a nod. He was ready. There was some anxiety in his chest about leaving the household, he knew his parents would care for him, but the familiarity was something that he would miss.

Naruto couldn't help but let a tear slip down his face as they drove away from the house, and had to keep his heart from ripping into two as he saw Sasuke run out of the house after him.

"Stop the car!" He yelled.

Minato slammed on the brakes as naruto undid his belt and bolted from the car towards Sasuke. The two embraced falling to the uneven pavement and Sasuke couldn't hold it in anymore.

"I'm so sorry naruto, I love you so much please don't leave me, I need you." He sobbed into the blonde's hair.

"I have to go, Sasuke," Naruto said trying to snort in what seemed like buckets of snot pouring from his nose. "This is for me."

Sasuke nodded. He knew naruto wouldn't be gone for good, he would only be a ten minute drive away, but that was much further than a few steps. "I know. Text me when you get home alright?"

The other gave a nod and climbed up from the ground carefully to go back to the car. His knees were bleeding a bit from the pavement but it was nothing compared to what he felt in his chest. Once he had clipped in his seatbelt he felt ok.

"I'm ready. Dad." Naruto whispered.

Minato smiled warmly at his son through the mirror and said what he had only dreamed of saying for what felt like an eternity. "Let's go home Naruto."
