A/N: decided to do a different take on Wendy and Natsu's first meeting. I also changed the order of things from what happened in canon too since it worked with what I am writing. So please don't go on and tell me; 'that's not canon'.

Wendy? That name, it sounds so familiar. Wait, what's that smell? It's coming from her. The only other time I smelled this scent before was from Gajeel. She must be a dragon slayer Natsu thought.

He along with Happy, Lucy, Erza and Gray were a part of a coalition force set up by four of the guilds to combat the rising threat of the Oración Seis. Blue Pegasus, Lamia Scale and Caitshelter also are a part of the coalition. They were all gathered together in the second home of the guild master of Blue Pegasus, Bob.

The final member of the coalition of guilds have appeared, Wendy Marvell of Caitshelter. Natsu just looked at Wendy with interest. From her scent she was a dragon slayer like he and Gajeel was. But what kind was the question.

Wendy looked right at Natsu and their eyes met. She then looked down unable to keep eye contact due to her self-confidence issues.

"Natsu, do you know her?" Lucy asked.

Natsu said nothing as he walked forward to Wendy making his friends look at him with looks of confusion. He knelt down to get eye-level with her.

"What kind of dragon?" he asked.

"Oh, um, I can do Sky Dragon magic" Wendy said with nervousness being so close to Natsu.

Natsu smiled and that put her at ease.

"It's good to meet you Wendy, name's Natsu" he said.

Wendy smiled right back. She was so happy to finally to get to meet Natsu since she heard so much about him from his moniker as the Salamander. That and she wanted to meet him since it was rumored he was raised by a dragon too. She wanted to talk with him about it since she hoped that he had seen the dragon that had raised her, Grandeeney.

"Hey Gray, how does Natsu know Wendy she can do dragon slayer magic?" Lucy asked.

"His nose, all dragon slayers have great noses, at least that's the case with Natsu" Gray said.

Lucy just nodded.

The appearance of a white cat named Carla shocked some, mostly the Fairy Tail group since they thought Happy was the only talking cat. Happy of course tried to start to court Carla with her rebuffing all attempts.

Soon the Trimens, one of the most powerful teams of Blue Pegasus, appeared and began to flirt with Wendy, who looked quite flustered. They had the whole thing set up with the couch. Wendy looked so confused to what was going on.

"HEY KNOCK IT OFF JERKS, YOU'RE SCARING HER!" the fire dragon slayer shouted.

The Trimens looked at Natsu with annoyed looks though Wendy looked relieved. Ichiya stopped the Trimens and they put the things away. Wendy stood by Natsu. Natsu looked at her and smiled and she smiled right back. She somehow felt safe with Natsu. She didn't know why, but she did.

They then began to plan on how to take down the Oración Seis.
