Chapter 27

Naruto roared in rage as wind chakra infused shuriken bounced off him, the shuriken completely ineffective against his thickened skin, before he charged at Danzo. He was getting seriously pissed off as the man wouldn't die, constantly fading away the second he did die only to reappear in a new spot.

"Is this how you beat me!? By being killed and running around!?" he yelled as he flapped his wings, creating a powerful gust that stopped the wind release technique Danzo had been trying to hit him with.

'The eyes on his arm close every time he comes back. I think there is a limit to how many times he can return from death' Vergil said as Naruto laughed and used his tail to effortlessly break Danzo's attempt to stab him with a wind infused kunai after appearing behind him after having been killed again.

"All I have to do is keep squashing you until you stay down right?" Naruto growled out, smirking more as Danzo's eye widened ever so slightly before his head was severed.

"To think a beast like you would exist. I will not allow myself to be crushed by a creature like you. I guess I'll have to get fully serious to put you down" Danzo said as he tossed off the top of his kimono to reveal a face sticking out from the left side of his chest different from the one on his shoulder.

"You aren't the only one with a demon inside you but unlike yours mine was unable to help me recreate your power. It will though give me the power to end you!" Danzo yelled as the face on his chest opened its left eye to reveal a pure red eye.

Naruto watched, more due to curiosity, as Danzo's body mutated grotesquely before turning into a form Dante had seen long before. The locust themed demonic body was definitely that of Agnus only his now closed right eye was replaced with the Mangekyo Sharingan on Danzo and his right arm was covered in the eyes of Danzo's arm. He also noticed an extra pair of arms under his usual arms, them looking almost wooden like a puppet's arms with ball joints and everything.

"So this is where you ran off to Agnus you cockroach. Though if you think you are any match for me you are still as stupid as when I last killed you" Dante said as Danzo laughed.

"Yes! I came to this world like you did those years ago but unlike you I wasn't able to recreate my body, stuck in a hollow empty husk, unable to move until this man found me and as you see I've taken your words to heart! I am just like you now! Half human and half demon! And unlike last time we will defeat you!" Agnus' voice spoke out before his head twitched and he narrowed his eyes at them.

"With this creature's powers you will die and through your death Konoha will strive!" Danzo roared as he opened his wings and flew at him.

Naruto narrowed his eyes as he leapt up at Danzo, wasting no time as he used his own wings to take to the air and tackled the beast mid-air. "If you think this roach will give you the power you need you are even more stupid then I thought you were!" Naruto laughed out as he grabbed onto Danzo's wooden arms and ripped them out, smirking at the roar of pain from the man before it was silenced by his tail stabbing through his head.

He quickly landed as Danzo's body fell down to the ground before he emerged from the back of it, unscathed and alive again with another eye closed and a smirk on his face.

"You truly are an idiotic beast if you thought Izanagi was my only technique" Danzo said as the wooden arms in Naruto's hands almost melted and bound themselves around his arms. Naruto widened his eyes, trying to rip them off before the wood around his arms started to grow until it started to swallow his body in what he figured to be a massive tree.

"See I told you while you were unable to control Hashirama's cells all it needed was some demonic energy to subjugate them to your will. Mokuton can bind even the fearsome Bijuu, demon is easily the same" Agnus spoke through Danzo's mouth as the man nodded.

"Now we can finish this" Danzo said as he drew back his hand to pierce through the tree and kill Naruto inside onto for the metal tail of Naruto to shoot out of the tree and slice off his arm of Sharingan.

Danzo roared in pain, desperately trying to reach for the arm only to be blown back as the tree exploded and a furious Naruto glared at him with fire pouring out of his mouth. "I'm not a Bijuu you moron, I fought and beat one so don't look down on me like you do everyone as that is a deadly mistake" Naruto panted out, the tree being more of an annoyance to escape from than any real danger.

"W-What the hell! H-How can that be! Quickly we must reattach the arm!" Agnus cried out as he tried to dive for the arm only for Naruto's foot to intercept him and collide into his face, sending him flying back to create a trench in the ground from the speed and force of it.

"What, no reviving? Did I stop it before you could do it again? Are you out of your bullshit you've been using to save your ass?" Naruto mocked as he picked up Danzo's arm, watching as it reverted back into a human arm with two Sharingan left open before he tore it apart, making sure to pierce the left over eyes to destroy them.

Naruto almost laughed as he saw the look of fear on Danzo's face even though he figured it was mainly Agnus revealing their combined emotions. The fear and anger on their face was almost funny as he walked towards them.

"No! I won't die! If I am I'm going to take you down with me!" Danzo yelled, Agnus' voice mixing in due to the man's fear, before the locust demon latched onto him and a set of seals appeared on his chest.

"Reverse Four Symbols Sealing!" Danzo yelled before gasping as Naruto's tail pierced his chest and Naruto grabbed his head.

"Here's the thing about seals when it comes to demonic energy: they always break under them" Naruto whispered out as he injected a flood of his even more destructive demonic energy into Danzo's body, smiling as the man's body started to crumble.

"N-No, I can't die. I-I was supposed to usher in Konoha into its golden age" Danzo croaked out as the seals faded and his body started to crumble. "W-Wait! I can still be useful! What if I told you that the Akatsuki is starting to move and track down the jinchuriki? I can help you act against them!" Danzo begged, as if trying to say anything to keep him from being killed.

"Honestly that won't save your hide as the world will be a better place without you so just die!" Naruto roared as he quickly used his tail to slice Danzo's head off, killing both him and Agnus as his body shriveled up and scattered away in the wind.

As Naruto forced himself out of his Perfect Devil Trigger he forgot just how painfully taxing this form was for him to use. His whole body was on fire and, as he fell onto the ground, he cursed himself slightly.

"D-Damn it, t-that was a lot more p-painful than I remember" Naruto groaned out as he tried to push himself up off the ground only for his arm to buckle under him.

'You need to rest Naruto, after using that form your body has been strained immensely. I'm honestly surprised you are still conscious' Vergil warned as Naruto shook his head.

"N-No, there is still the Hell Gate we need to destroy. I can't just crawl back to Iwa like this" Naruto groaned out, trying to push himself up again only to falter.

"Then how about I help?" a familiar voice spoke out as Naruto shakily turned his head over to see Sasuke smirking down at him from a rock spire.

"Sasuke? W-What the hell are you doing here kid? This place not only is dangerous but in Iwa of all places" Naruto said while he forced himself onto his feet only to nearly fall until Sasuke caught him.

"I'm here because Tsunade sent me to help" Sasuke said as he helped Naruto sit down on a slab of stone. "She said how she knew you were going to Iwa due to the demon activity and I begged her to let me go to help" he added as Naruto looked at the Uchiha with a raised brow.

"Sorry but this is a Hell Gate kid, these things aren't easy to destroy. I thank you for the thought but I don't think you'll be up for this" Naruto said as he tried to sit up only to hiss in pain and sit back down.

"And you will be able to when it hurts to even move?" Sasuke asked before sighing. "Please let me do this for you Naruto I just….I owe you so much for saving me from leaving to Orochimaru" Sasuke said as he clenched his fists hard enough to draw blood while looking Naruto in his eyes.

"This demon won't be some push over or anything kid, it is made to guard the Hell Gate. If you take it lightly it will kill you" he said, trying to emphasize the danger in it all but Sasuke merely nodded.

"I know the risk but if it isn't taken care of now then Iwa could very well be overwhelmed and in you in your weakened state I doubt you'll be able to return to it on your own right now" Sasuke said as he had seemingly been filled in one what was going on in Iwa, most likely by Tsunade's clone who had been filled in by the real Tsunade.

Naruto, after a few minutes of staring at the Uchiha with a frown as he weighed his options, could only sigh and let out a loud groan as he knew the kid wasn't going to just leave.

In all honesty this was the best choice that ended with the Gate most likely being destroyed but also gave him time to recharge and some way to help him get back to Iwa. While he'd rather not have him get involved he knew arguing wasn't going to solve anything in the end or stop him, making him figure he might as well help to ensure the kid wouldn't die.

"Fine! If you are going to be so stubborn I'll lend you something but listen to it and don't go too overboard with it as it'll be powered by what little energy I can offer right now and whatever it already has in it" Naruto said as he held out a Beowulf's gauntlets towards him.

"Is this one of your weapons? Will it work for me?" Sasuke asked as Naruto nodded with a tired sigh.

"It will for this fight just try not to push it as it isn't at full charge or anything. It'd say a little under half charge but it should be enough to help you in battle" Naruto said while Sasuke put Beowulf on his limbs, testing his punches and kicks to find them fast enough to make small shockwaves. "By the way its name is Beowulf just be sure to listen to it and what it says. It'll help you fight with it and offer advice…I think. All depends on if he's pissed off or not" Naruto added making Sasuke raise an eyebrow in confusion before a chuckle sounded out in Sasuke's head.

'Do not push your boundaries brat. You are lucky Naruto is allowing this or I would crush your limbs now that I am not bound anymore' a demonic voice spoke out in Sasuke's head, something he expected given he had seen Naruto's other weapons talk before.

"Just listen to Beowulf and be careful. Kill the demon guarding the Hell Gate and destroy the gate and come right back. Also bring back the Devil Arm left behind if there is one" Naruto said as he leaned back against the mountain behind him, hoping to recharge enough to let him walk or at least stand up by the time Sasuke finished.

Sasuke nodded, having already steeled his nerves for this as he now wore the Devil Arm on his arms and legs. He continued on, staring down at the wolf like gauntlets that glowed on his arms, and felt a little odd wielding the power that drove the man that kept him from giving into his darkness.

'If Naruto let you live after that confrontation then he sees something in you. My master is someone who can see the good and bad in everyone, comes with being a half-demon' Beowulf spoke to him as Sasuke hand's went over the scar on his stomach as he remembered fighting Naruto at the Valley of the End.

In the end he was immensely thankful towards Naruto for pulling him back from the edge and helping set him back on the right path. Sure he had to be impaled to do it but it was a good lesson in the end.

'Stay on guard, we are nearly there. The demon feels mid-level, nothing too dangerous I think but be wary as some demons look not too dangerous but can still be deadly' Beowulf warned him before Sasuke nodded and clenched his fists.

As Sasuke made his way onto the plateau top of the mountain, which was surrounded by the peaks of the other mountains, he frowned at the massive monolith in front of him. "This is a Hell Gate? Seems bigger than I expected" Sasuke muttered to himself before he quickly leapt to the side to dodge what looked like himself only made entirely out of shadows.

"My, my, my, aren't we quick to react and you even have a Devil Arm, this is a surprise. You aren't the man I was expecting but I guess you'll do" the shadow version of himself said as Sasuke narrowed his eyes, activating his Sharingan and stared down the demon.

'It's a Doppelganger, a shadow demon that can copy your appearance. It's invincible when in a shadowy area but with my light it won't be too difficult. Stay alert and I'll lend you my help at least' the light elemental demon said as Sasuke nodded and quickly rushed towards the Doppelganger, surprising it with his speed before his foot collided with the demon's head and sent him flying back.

'Your speed is impressive even without me adding to it. Feel free to use your chakra and channel it through me as it is similar enough to demonic energy' the arm said while Sasuke nodded and readied himself as the Doppelganger had stood back up seemingly unharmed from his kick.

"My, so violent though I have to say you are brave to face me. Not a speck of demonic energy in you besides what is in those weapons on your arms and legs. How do you expect to defeat me with only a weapon that will only work for so long?" the Doppelganger asked before Sasuke smirked and disappeared in a burst of speed.

"Quickly that's how" Sasuke said as he appeared in front of the demon, crouched down before he launched up and struck him with an uppercut that released a bright flash of light from the maw of the howling wolf gauntlet on his arm.

The Doppelganger's skin sizzled from the light as it flew up into the air due to the force behind Sasuke's uppercut as the Uchiha followed him and his ascent upwards. He didn't let up as Sasuke quickly unleashed a flurry of kicks into the demon, slashes of light trailing along the kicks and leaving deep gashes in the demon as it flew back.

Sasuke though continued to follow it through the air, using the platform Beowulf created under his feet and dashed after it. He saw the demon try and right itself in midair but again he didn't let up before he spun forward, the claws of his greaves tearing through the demon as a crescent moon of light energy formed from it before launching into the demon and sending it crashing into the ground with a loud crash.

Sasuke watched as Doppelganger stood up from the crater he formed from his crash, a deep gash in his chest as black liquid dripped from it before shadows around them launched towards it and healed up its chest.

'You got to do more damage than that and keep at it. My light is a shadow's natural bane so don't be afraid to use me. I have enough energy in me to finish off that pest' Beowulf said while Sasuke nodded and kept his eyes trained on the demon in front of him.

"That really stung you punk but it's pointless. As long as I'm covered by shadows I can heal anything you do to me" the Doppelganger said with a massive smirk before Sasuke smirked slightly as well.

"Then I'll just have to brighten up this whole place and kill you then" Sasuke said as he disappeared in another burst of speed before he appeared in front of the demon, his fist cocked back as it chirped with lightning that was almost blinding for him with the light infused with it.

Sasuke let Beowulf guide his fist as he closed his eyes just as the lightning burst and created a powerful burst of light that was powerful enough to destroy the Doppelganger's illusion. 'Keep up the lightning and I can help with the punches' Beowulf quickly said as Sasuke planted his legs firmly and charged lightning chakra through both gauntlets before Beowulf quickly helped him unleash a fury of punches.

As each punch connected a powerful flash exploded, burning more and more of the Doppelganger away before Beowulf held back his fist, charging up most of the remaining energy he had to finish it off.

Sasuke was lucky he had closed his eyes beforehand as if they had been open when the light from the final punch had flashed, even if their Sharingan was deactivated, he would have been blinded by the intensity of it.

The light was even powerful enough to be visible from where Naruto rested and even Iwagakure through the mountain peaks.

'You can open your eyes now. Your lightning helped amplify my light enough to easily kill it and it even saved me enough energy to be able to help destroy the gate' Beowulf said as Sasuke opened his eyes to see that the Doppelganger gone but what looked like flickering shadows were left where it stood.

"What is that? Is it trying to reform?" Sasuke asked before Beowulf laughed a bit in his head.

'It's a Devil Arm as my light was able to purify it. Last time Dante fought a Doppelganger it gave him a stance, this time I figure this one was stronger from protecting a Hell Gate. Take it and bring it back with you once we destroy the gate, Naruto will know what to do with it' Beowulf said as Sasuke nodded, choosing to leave it there before he walked towards the massive monolith that was the Hell Gate.

"So do we just attack it?" Sasuke asked as honestly he was a bit unsure that he could break it with his bare fists even with Beowulf given the size and thickness of it.

'Trust me it's not as durable as you think as it is weak to the energy it is made of hence why I needed to save some for it. Basically just attack it and it'll crumble' the light demon said as Sasuke nodded and clenched his fists and channeled lightning into the greaves on his feet.

He was amazed as the first kick across the gate cleaved through it like butter before he quickly leapt up to meet it as it started to lean over towards him. His punches were fast and powerful as each hit was coated with lightning and powerful enough to explode out chunks of it.

Sasuke was a bit in awe of the power as he leapt back, using the seal like circle that appeared under him as a platform, and looked over the rubble of the once large Hell Gate.

"For a first time fighting a demon and using a Devil Arm I have to say you did pretty damn well" Naruto said as Sasuke turned to see the blonde sliding his way down to where he was with a smirk before he slightly winced once he stumbled a bit when he reached the bottom.

"Are you sure you should be up and moving? You looked utterly exhausted and in pain after you took out Danzo" Sasuke said while Naruto rolled his eyes.

"I'm fine, at least enough to walk around" Naruto said with a wince as he rubbed his side before he snapped his fingers as if he remembered something. "Oh yeah before I forget take this" he added as he tossed a scroll over to Sasuke who quickly caught it.

"Danzo's head is in there and I believe he has a unique looking Sharingan in it from an Uchiha. Figure it might be best to get that somewhere safe" Naruto said making Sasuke's eyes widen a bit before he slipped it in his pocket before taking off Beowulf's gauntlets.

"Then in return here is your Devil Arm back, it was very interesting to use" Sasuke said as the graves turned to light and flew up into the gauntlets.

"That's one way to put it though I normally describe it as awesome" Naruto chuckled out before his eyes saw the shadowy cloak on the ground. "Say did the demon leave that behind?" Naruto asked as Sasuke nodded and picked it up.

"Beowulf called the demon a Doppelganger" Sasuke said while Naruto looked over the cloak of shadows before holding up towards him with one eye open, as if to see how it looked if he were to wear it.

"Say are you more a trench coat, a cloak, a poncho, or a cape kind of guy?" Naruto asked as Sasuke could only raise an eyebrow in confusion at him.

"I guess a trench coat but why?" Sasuke questioned before Naruto could only smirk as he started to shake the cloak, as if trying to dry it off before the darkness shot off of it to reveal a black hooded trench coat.

(AN: think of the Akatsuki cloak he wore when he fought Bee minus the clouds and pure black)

"Consider this payment for helping me with this plus you were the one who killed it so you get the spoils from it" Naruto said before he tossed the coat at Sasuke.

As Sasuke caught the cloak and looked it over he noticed how it still looked like shadows on the inside and black bits wisped flickered off the bottom of it like mist. "Don't worry it won't bite you. This one doesn't have a spirt from what I sensed and luckily for you doesn't run on demonic energy" Naruto said as Sasuke slipped it on, leaving it unzipped and instantly he felt immensely lighter than before.

"So what does it do?" Sasuke asked as he looked it over before Naruto shrugged his shoulders.

"No idea but then no one knows what a Devil Arm does at first. If I had to guess it's a more defensive arm but the inside looks unique with it being pitch black compared to the normal black outsides" Naruto said as he opened up the jacket, testing it out by poking it only to find his finger kept going and was swallowed up by it. He didn't stop once he noticed that, pressing forward until his whole hand was inside the coat.

"Seems you got yourself a little storage area in there. I don't know how large it is but figuring out what a Devil Arm does is always fun. Maybe you can even personalize the inside if it links up to you" Naruto said as Sasuke frowned a bit.

"Are you sure you are okay with me having this?" Sasuke asked before Naruto patted him on the back.

"Of course as you earned it and have proven twice that you are trustworthy. Karin told me how you ran into her in the Land of Snow and were calmer, you knew it was her didn't you?" he asked as the Uchiha nodded making Naruto's smirk grow. "See as far as I see you've recovered and grown from our last meeting. Do you have a way back cause I can maybe swing by Konoha if you need" he said before Sasuke shook his head before he ran through the hand signs and slammed his hand on the ground, summoning a rather large hawk in a cloud of smoke.

"Thank you for the offer but after my probation and recover I found the hawk contract deep in the Uchiha compound hidden underground. I flew here a direction to go towards in the direction of the flow of this gate's demonic energy" Sasuke said as with Iwa location being unknown the demonic energy was the only way to find and possibly help Naruto.

"Do you want me to fly you to Iwa or at least closer to it?" Sasuke asked as Naruto shook his head.

"A walk back is never bad, plus I still need to recharge a bit and it'll help me do it before I get back. You head back to Konoha and tell Tsunade thanks but before that," he said before he tossed what looked like a stack of business cards bound together in a rubber band "if you ever need me just tear one of those up and a bat will appear to act as a radio so we can talk" he explained as Sasuke nodded and slipped it into his robe which was able to swallow it all up.

"Use that arm well, test around with it and maybe think up a name for it. I know it'll be interesting to see what you figure out with it" Naruto said as the hawk flapped its wings, about to take off.

"I will and thank you again, I still have to repay you for saving me" Sasuke said before Naruto rolled his eyes.

"Forget about it kid, just don't stray back towards that path again. Now get out of here before any Iwa ninja comes to check up on that light and sees you" Naruto warned as Sasuke nodded and the hawk took off.

'That kid made a total 180 degree turn around from how he used to be. You think he'll stay like that?' Dante asked while Naruto could only shrug his shoulders as he started to head back in the direction of Iwa.

"I think he will as all he needed was someone to talk sense into him and rough him up a bit. Sure he's still going to kill Itachi the next time he sees him but at least that isn't his only reason to live or anything" he said with a smile, enjoying the walk back to Iwa before he was met with a worried Kurotsuchi and Samui waiting for him at the gates.

"Naruto! We felt you go into that form! What happened?!" Kurotsuchi yelled as she and Samui ran towards him with Onoki staying at the gate.

"I ran into Danzo, he put his foot in his mouth that really pissed me off, enough so to reawaken my Perfect Devil Trigger. I killed him and got both Cerberus and Beowulf back though so that's good" Naruto said making the two women widen their eyes before Samui cracked a smirk.

"About time you got those back. I guess that means Ifrit is the last one to retrieve" she said as Naruto nodded.

"Yeah but before that, or on the way, we need to go to Kumo. I decided it's about time I come to term with my non-literal demons and Karin starts her progress with hers as we both need to unlock our full powers" he said as the two of them nodded before Samui frowned.

"What you made you decide now was the time?" she asked as Naruto narrowed his eyes as he clenched his fist.

"The Akatsuki are starting to move. I need to look into it and if it is true I want her and myself to be up to par. I won't lose her" he said as he walked up to Onoki who merely nodded.

"Come on in boy and rest. We can call Aye and get things ready so you can leave tomorrow morning" Onoki said as they walked into Iwa while Naruto already was thinking over how Kumo would go.

If what Danzo said in his plea to live was true then there would be a lot to prepare for.

Woo! Sorry to not update in a long time, stuff went down and its settling down. I have an order in mind for updates its just with no schedule I can take my time and make sure things are written at a quality I am proud of

I have had the Agnus form idea for Danzo for a while now with this being the first time I could reveal it. I wanted to save Shisui's MS as when/if Sasuke gets his MS I might make him use one of Shisui's and the other Itachi's maybe.

I liked the Sasuke v Doppelganger fight as Beowulf suits Sasuke pretty well in my mind. Also the cloak I gave him is basically Kaede Nagase's Pactio cloak. It's essentially his own private pocket dimension that will create a world inside it according to Sasuke's mental realm of sorts. I already have a lot in mind for how he'll use it so it'll be fun to use

And yes Naruto and Karin are heading to Kumo for the falls of truth. Naruto's Perfect Devil Trigger needs to be unlocked and Karin needs to get closer with Kurama before the Akatsuki truly start to move.

I have a lot in mind but I want to take things slow as not to rush anything and make it choppy.
