With the Second Wizarding War several years over, the public needed some new juicy gossip to satisfy their appetites.

Especially since Harry Potter had done such a wonderful job at avoiding the spotlight as much as possible.

The public, though, finally got their huge, gossip-worthy story when they found out which men the two Greengrass sisters were planning on marrying.

It happened around the same time, with the younger sister's marriage scheduled to take place only a few months after the older sister's. And that brief separation of time had only been put into place so that both sisters could fully enjoy her special day without having the worry about sharing the spotlight with the other one.

Daphne and Astoria had always had a loving, supportive relationship; and they were never known to be jealous of each other.

Daphne had no problem with being the quieter of the two sisters because that was just her personality, and Astoria never thought less of her older sister just because she was not a "social butterfly."

The two sisters had two different personalities, and that was just fine with the both of them.

Not that the public would care about any of that, however. No, the public only cared about drama, and two sisters that loved each other was not a source of drama.

All the drama came from the two men the two sisters were going to marry.

Older sister Daphne was engaged to marry Theodore Nott, while younger sister Astoria had promised herself to Draco Malfoy.

Theodore Nott and Draco Malfoy, the children of known Death Eaters.

And along with being the son of a Death Eater, Draco Malfoy had also been a Death Eater himself.

It truly was seen as scandalous news. The Greengrass family was a Pureblood one, but they had remained neutral during both wars.

And now both Greengrass sisters were soon going to be joined through marriage to two families that were looked at with scorn and suspicion.

The Notts and the Malfoys.

It was slightly worse for Astoria than it was for Daphne, however, as the Malfoys were a much more prominent and a much more known family than the Notts. And it certainly didn't help Astoria that Lucius Malfoy had been higher up in the Death Eater ranks than Theodore's father ever had been.

Everyone wondered what Daphne and Astoria had been thinking. True, all three families involved were Purebloods, and Purebloods preferred to marry other Purebloods as much as possible (especially since there was so few of them). But still, there were less scandalous Pureblood families that the Greengrass sisters could have chosen.

Yet, Daphne had chosen Theodore, and Astoria had chosen Draco.

The public, however, didn't care to know the whole story.

The public, for instance, didn't care that Theodore and Daphne had been friends since before their Hogwarts years, and that the two had always enjoyed studying and practicing magic together. The public didn't care that Theodore and Daphne, despite believing in blood superiority, had both always cared more about receiving a good education than anything else.

The public also didn't care that Astoria had liked Draco from the moment she first saw him, and that despite her usual carefree and open personality, she had always been nervous and awkward around the Malfoy heir during their Hogwarts years. The public didn't care that Astoria had often been sad and jealous whenever she had seen Draco and Pansy Parkinson together.

But the Greengrass sisters could have cared less what the public thought of them. Daphne loved Theodore, and Astoria loved Draco.

And that was all that mattered to the two scandalous sisters.
