Author's notes: Here we are now. At another ending. As you can see from the title, there is a direction I managed to come up with where we can go from this. I have had many ideas, but in the long run I hope people will be happy or at least okay with this one.

New actors working here in this last chapter are Lucas Till as Red Robin, Malese Jow as Black Bat, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern and Christine Willes as that character near the end. Oh, and I also got lazy translating John Constantine's exorcism to Latin so now it's just in italics.

Apokolips... NOW!

Happy Harbor, Rhode Island

''One more for that old bastard,'' John Constantine said sitting down on the ground after exorcising Voldemort to Hell. ''Well, aren't we done here?''

Constantine raised up and looked at everyone still in a circle around him, Harry and Lex Luthor.

''That we got that one guy crippled, those two broads are out and I split the candle-man in two. I don't see the ring bearer anywhere and the Owl probably been Bat-handled. So, I don't know about any of you, but I'm headed to the nearest pub. If anyone wishes to join in, the first round's are on me.''

''PROTEGO!''

TZAAAAAP!

Harry managed to point his wand up and create the shield-spell to cover Constantine and with Luthor's power-suit and Zatanna joining in, it was strong enough to protect everyone in the circle from Ultraman's heat vision.

''YOU CAN ALL STILL DIE!'' Ultraman barked at the as he was stooting fire from his eyes. ''YOU DEFIED THE SYNDICATE AND YOU WILL WILL DIE FOR IT!''

THOOM!

Superman and Shazam beamed at Ultraman from the sky and pushed him to the ground. As expected Ultraman fought back, but was underpowered against two men pushing him to the ground. Having been flown to the Sun and back, Superman was now back to full strength and Shazam had magic on his side, the kind of magic humans couldn't affect.

''Convenient timing for you to come back at the twelfth hour,'' Luthor said approaching Superman and Shazam. ''Can't believe I'm actually saying this, but welcome back. Now how are you going to imprison him without killing?''

''Look up to the sky,'' Superman said and as everyone turned to look at the Moon still blocking the Sun, they saw the Moon glowing green. Or actually the Moon wasn't the one glowing, but it was the four construction claws holding it and moving it away from blocking the Sun.

Like a vampire in daylight, Ultraman begun to get weaker against Superman and Shazam's strength and soon it was no longer necessary for them to hold him down. Superman and Shazam let go and stood back as the weakened Ultraman stood on his knees and tried to cover as much of himself as he could with his cape.

''We met four Green Lanterns on their way back to Earth when I was flying him to the Sun,'' Shazam explained as people were looking at humiliated Ultraman and the Moon being moved back to it's place. ''Superman said he knew his counterpart would be weakened by Sunlight so we had them move it while we held him in it long enough.''

''And it worked,'' Harry said pointing his wand at Ultraman. ''So what are we going to do with all of them?''

''Kill me,'' Ultraman said under the cover of his cape. ''Just kill me.''

''Kill you?'' Luthor said before Harry got to wave his wand. ''Oh no, Ultraman. Why would we ever kill you now that you are reduced to being the weakest man on this Earth both physically and mentally?''

''What? He killed people in Hogwarts!'' Ron said holding onto his children. ''He took my children and was going to kill them with me and the rest of our family.''

''And now he can't do that or stand up,'' Luthor said looking down on Ultraman, who he was sure to be weeping under is cape.

Watchtower, Conference Room

''Cyborg!''

As Grid had been taken down long enough time ago, the communications and every other technological systems had had enough time to reboot and return back online. With that, Batman had been able to turn Watchtower back on and get in touch with the Justice League and Luthor's team outside. Owlman was cuffed and under watch of Red Hood and Red Robin on the floor while Black Bat was standing next to Pandora.

''I hear you, Batman.''

''Owlman is down and I can see you're done with everyone else outside,'' Batman said holding his hand on his cowl's ear-comms and looking outside from the window. ''Didn't think I'd ever be this happy so see the Sun again. Is everyone there alright?''

''Your antidote to the Joker Venom worked. Luthor found a way for Element Woman to make more of it, but I think the kids are going to need therapy after what happened,'' Cyborg's voice said. ''Superman is back too, said he and Potter had been in the Syndicate's world. Weasley wants to know his wife is alright.''

Batman didn't reply immediately. He turned away from the window and looked at Pandora sitting on her knees with Black Bat next to her and Valeyard's corpse laying in front of them.

''If everyone was healed, have Constantine sent in here,'' Batman said keeping his gaze on them. ''And Weasley, but not their children. They don't want to be here.''

''Why?''

Batman turned around to see Superman having flown inside.

''What happened in here?'' Superman asked first looking at Owlman on the floor with Red Hood and Red Robin waving acknowledgements while on guard, then at Batman and then at Pandora and Valeyard's corpse. ''Hermione?''

Superman walked in fast pace towards Pandora and knelled next to her.

''What happened to her face? And hair? And did she do this!?''

''That is why I asked for Constantine,'' Batman said as a Boom Tube brought Constantine, Wonder Woman, Ron Weasley and Harry Potter to the Watchtower Conference Room. When they saw the Valeyard's corpse laying near Hermione, Batman showed them the decaying skin in his hands and said: ''She thought he was the Joker.''

''Hermione?'' Ron and Harry both said getting near their friend in shock as Black Bat sat up and went to watch over Owlman with Red Hood and Red Robin. John Constantine shoved Valeyard's body off in front of Hermione and begun to examine her pupils and any signs that could have made exorcism the best option.

''I'm not hundred percent sure she's gone, but I'm still worried,'' Constantine said as Ron took a hold oh Hermione's, wine red colored leather glove covered hand. ''Well, here goes nothing. I'm addressing the entity that inhabits this vessel. Hermione Granger, your husband, children and friends are worried about you. If you are in there, give us a sign. Come on, luv. By the power of Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, come back to the light to us.- Wonder Woman, your lasso.''

Wonder Woman looked down to Constantine, but didn't give her lasso back yet.

''Earlier I managed to get you lot out of Firestorm's Matrix with the help of that lasso,'' Constantine said extending his hand for her to give it to him. ''If there is any of her still in here, I might be able to get through to that with it.''

Wonder Woman looked at Batman standing next to Superman and he nodded to her his approval to do so.

''I understand,'' Wonder Woman said, but didn't give Constantine her lasso. Instead, she knelled down and tied it around Hermione's wrists herself and held on to it. ''Carry on, Mr. Constantine.''

''Heed my words, the power of Zeus and the gods of Olympus compels you,'' Constantine continued. ''The power of Christ compels you-''

'''Mione?'' Ron said, and to everyone's surprise, she lifted her face from the ground and looked at him.

''She's not possessed, she is still in there,'' Constantine said looking at Wonder Woman's lasso. ''It's the lasso that made her react.''

''And probably the fact that she doesn't speak Latin!'' Ron told Constantine.

''Can you hear me?'' Constantine asked in a normal manner and gave Ron the finger.

She nodded.

''Can you speak?''

She nodded.

''What color is my hair?''

''What kind of question is that?'' Ron asked when

''Your hair is blond, John Constantine!'' she finally answered, looking at Constantine and showing her eyes burning like neon lights.

''Hermione-'' Harry was about to ask, but

''What was Hermione,'' she said taking the scythe and stood up, placing it near her hip, ''died along with this man.''

This hit Ron and Harry the most as they looked at what was sadness and regret Hermione's face before she apparated away from the Watchtower, with only evidence of her presence being Wonder Woman's lasso falling from where it had been tied on her hands.

Justice League Watchtower, 22 300 miles above Earth's Orbit

Some days later…

''Welcome back,'' Superman told Harry and Ron as they arrived to the conference room where the Justice League, Zatanna and John Constantine was waiting for them around their table.

Besides the members of the League Harry and Ron already knew, there was also a brown haired man in a green and black suit with a green domino-mask and white gloves with a green ring in his right hand.

''So what is the situation?'' Ron asked in a bitter voice.

Unlike Harry who still looked as prestige and official as he should have, Ron's face was unshaven and he didn't understandableby look very happy.

''Zee and I have gathered a group magics as another faction of the League and they are currently looking for your wife,'' Constantine said as the table showed a hologram of a group of people and their information. ''We call 'em the Justice League Dark. So far they have been looking into the Trinity of Sin. The clothes Hermione was given to belonged to a member of that group.''

''Pandora. Yes, we know,'' Harry said nodding.

''Other members of that lot are the Phantom Stranger and a fellow called the Question,'' Constantine continued as the holograms turned to images of Trinity of Sin. ''Where Pandora opened the box by the same name, these two did something so bad, the other one threw his identity away and the other one was robbed of it.''

''That one looks familiar,'' Harry said pointing at the hologram of the man in fedora hat and traveler's cloak. ''He was at Hogwarts when we fought Voldemort.''

''I remember,'' Superman said. ''I met him once there, and from how he spoke, it was clear he was acting under orders.''

''And he appeared to me and Zatanna too during the Zero Year,'' Batman mentioned.

''And how does this matter with Hermione's current situation?'' Ron asked impatiently.

''Plenty of ways, mate,'' Constantine said pointing an unlit cigarette at Ron. ''She is one of these two now. The JLD is also trying to find these two for any possible information they could have on her current condition and whereabouts. Hell, at best they could know how to turn her back.''

''Is that the best you can do for her?'' Ron asked bluntly.

''At the moment, yes,'' Superman said. ''The Crime Syndicate's invasion left all of our hands full at undoing the damage they did in the world. Having the Moon move twice caused tidal waves in many coast lines all over the world and left many people without homes.''

''Central City is also in need of rebuilding after they sent super-villains to destroy it and hunt the Rogues for disobeying their orders,'' the Flash added.

''There is also the impact they left on the psyche of the public and the government by their actions,'' Wonder Woman said. ''The United Nations are negotiating on the future relations between the nations after what has happened and the US Congeress is issuing on how we can still work to protect the world.''

''I hear Lex Luthor has been talking in your favor on that issue,'' Harry said, making Superman grunt.

''Luthor also spoke the Government to pardon Deathstroke, Black Manta, Black Adam, Sinestro and Captain Cold,'' Aquaman spoke in with his King-attitude sounding in his voice, ''and not only hours later Black Manta was seen killing a man in Hobbs' Bay and Deathstroke was reported to have killed a diplomat in Bialya.''

''Black Adam has also returned to Kahndaq and threaded to destroy anyone attempting to cross it's borders,'' Batman said as is attention was taken by a call to his cowl.

''And Sinestro doesn't do anything with a pardon on Earth as he has gone back to his Corps in Korugar,'' Green Lantern added showing Sinestro and his Corpsmen as a construct from his ring.

''Captain Cold and the Rogues haven't done anything yet either, but that's just a matter of time,'' the Flash added. ''As for the Crime Syndicate, Luthor and his team only left the five of them alive and Power Ring's ring is also still out there.''

''Superwoman is imprisoned in Azkaban and the isle guarded by Atlanteans,'' Harry said counting their situation. ''We were also told that Ultraman is in a yellow sun litted cell in Belle Reve and that Johnny Quick and Atomica are in Iron Heights prison.''

''That just leaves Owlman who managed to escape,'' Zatanna said in a dark mood and held onto her arms. ''Outsider and the Court of Owls managed to intercept his prisoner transport to Blackgate and he is still at large.''

''WHAT!?''

Batman had stood up holding his hand on his ear and whatever he had heard on his comm had made him look very angry. As the League, Harry and Ron looked at Batman, they could see what he had heard had probably added a new issue to the pile of those oter things keeping them from looking for Hermione. And the fact that Batman left the table walking in a fast pace past Harry and Ron without saying anything but just showing his teeth in anger made it clear it was very important to him.

''Batman?'' Superman asked, without getting a response. ''Batman!''

But Batman didn't respond to him and just walked to the teleporters, which had been installed to the Watchtower after it had been rebuilt and sent back to the orbit.

''Bruce,'' Superman said flying after Batman who was already setting coordinates to the Batcave, ''if that was League business-''

''It wasn't!'' Batman barked out as he hit the control-pad and was transported out of the Watchtower.

The Forest of Dean

Some days ago…

Usually apparating only worked for limited distances, but in her current state it wasn't an issue anymore. She had just wanted to go away and this was the first place she had thought of. It had been years since she had been here and then too she had been on the run. But this time she was all alone. Well… for it was fine. She enjoyed the silence and just the sounds of the nature. There near was the tree the tent had been placed and the small stream.

Walking towards the water, she took of her hood and looked at her reflection in the water. She gasped for air in shock of seeing the markings in her face, the foreign light in her eyes and the shade of her hair. Quickly, she removed her hood and gloves to take some of the water to wash her face of the markings and her hair, but as she begun to rub the water I her fece she saw more marking on her hands and a terrible thought came to her mind.

As she removed the robes off her, she found the markings expanding to other areas of her body. They were on her arms, in her back, chest and on her legs. Pulling the cloak back on her she shook in fear of what had happened to her. And running her hand through her hair she felt the scythe in her hand and was forced to look at it. The weapon she had used to kill a man. She remembered being in a war all those years ago when she had been on the run, but she didn't have killed anyone back then. Every enemy she had faced then she had simply stupefied or acted on self defense. But now she had had committed a murder and had been marked for that.

The thought of how she would be seen from here on made her cry in sorrow and pull more of the cloak to cover her body.

''Goodness, dear,'' a voice said behind her and she looked startled at an old grandmother standing near her by the stream, ''why are you so sad?''

Stately Wayne Manor

Now…

Unmasked Batman was standing in front of two unmarked graves and held up his arms, shaking in anger that was showing on his face as he looked at the other grave that had been dug open.

''I called you as soon as I found it like this,'' Alfred said standing next to his master. ''Do you assume it was Ra's Al Ghul?''

''No,'' Bruce said turning to his glove's interface. ''If this was Ra's, he would have taken Talia's coffin as well. This was someone else, and if we're lucky the surveillance system caught them.''

As Bruce looked for the surveillance feed with Alfred, Superman flew to them from the sky and saw the open grave.

''Okay, I understand now,'' Superman said as he approached Bruce. ''Do need help scanning the crime scene?''

''I already know who did this, Clark,'' Bruce said turning around and showed the holographic surveillance feed from his glove's interface.

It showed a Boom Tube opening at the grave-site, a robed female figure using a wand to lift the coffin from the ground and walking with it back to the Boom Tube. Bruce rewinded it to show it again and this time showed it to Superman with Audio.

''Wingardium Leviosa,'' distorted and familiar voice said casting the levitating spell to the coffin.

''No, Bruce,'' Superman said shaking his head. ''That can't be Hermione. Why would she-''

''I don't care why, Clark!'' Bruce said with anger and determination in is voice as he shut the feed. ''All I know is she took Damian's coffin from his grave and took it with her to a Boom Tube.''

''But that would mean she's-''

''She took my son to Apokolips, Clark!'' Bruce said pulling his cowl back on. ''That means she is working for Darkseid!''

TO BE CONTINUED...

Author's notes: I have thought of the premise of the next story, but not the whole plot or even the name yet. When I will do that, I will post it to my profile under Upcoming Stories. But, if anyone is asking, yes. That story will feature Darkseid, Apokolips and the New Gods. Until that happens, I hope you all had fun reading this story and found the ending to be suspense enough to carry on.
