Sailor Justice Chapter Twelve In which almost nothing makes sense

When Serena opened her eyes it was to find that she was chained to a wall in a dank looking stone room. To make it worse it smelled putrid. Her head was soon swimming from the smell, although it might also have had something to do with the fact that her stomach was empty. Since she was all alone she did the only thing she could think of.

"Help! Somebody let me out of here! So help me when I get out, I'm going to turn you all into lunch meat!"

No answer. Only her own words echoing off the walls mocking her.

"Drat."

"Hello dearie." A woman who looked pretty good for her obvious age now stood in the doorway. She had white hair and wore a yellow outfit which to Serena looked ridiculous. "How was your sleep."

"How about the word Awful."

"Awe you should be nicer to your granny." Mocked the woman.

"Granny?" Serena sounded skeptical.

"Why yes. I'm Granny Goodness, and we're going to become great friends just like I did with the Martian girl. Let's begin shall we." she shut the door and the only thing to be heard was a scream.

Rini, or as she was currently, Mini Moon paced the floor of the watchtower. Her heart was beating fast as she waited in expectation. "Hello." She jumped around to see a man dressed in gold and blue. "Are you alright little one?"

"Yes, I'm fine." She replied.

"I sense great turmoil within you, if you cannot control this you may endanger your friends like before."

The Pinkette turned sharply. "How did you...Know about that?"

"I know many things little one. I know of your previous connection to the darkness. I know that not even your mother could dispel it completely from within you heart."

The girl looked up at him with hope in her eyes. "Do you know where Hotaru is?"

The man paused then spoke. "She is beyond where I can sense her, but I believe she is safe."

"Do you know at least who has her?"

"You will have to consult your friend Pluto on such a matter, I believe you'd take it better from her."

"No. Please tell me." She gripped his arm and had such longing in her eyes that he finally conceded.

"Your friend has been taken by one who has more magical ability than I. He is one who crossed may different dimensions to find her and in doing so has caused your history to alter and create yet another dimension. He is dangerous yet I fear another may rise up beyond him. The man is your friends brother Hidou."

"But Hotaru doesn't have a brother."

"She does little one." He patted Rini's head. "When the explosion occurred in their fathers lab it awakened Hidou to his power and more than likely would have done to Hotaru if she hadn't died. Hidou had the power to travel through the shadows into different dimensions, the explosion sent him flying into another much like ours, but where Hotaru and their father died in that very explosion. I fear he may have been taken by someone at the time."

"How do you know all this?"

"I knows many things. It has taken me a long time to find this out, I started researching as soon as your friends came here."

Rini looked up at him with tears of thankfulness in her eyes. "Thank you for telling me this. What's your name?"

"Fate. Doctor Fate."

"Well thank you Doctor Fate. You've relieved my fears a little bit, but I can't help but wonder why he took her."

"That is indeed a very good question little one, and one that would take quite a while for us to discuss."

They chatted for a little while longer when Rini saw Conner walking sulkily into the mess hall. "Excuse me Doctor Fate, I'll be back in a bit." So saying she ran off to catch up to Super Boy. "Hey, Conner!" She called out, but he didn't hear her. That or he chose to ignore her. She slowed down in front of the table he was at, but flinched mentally at the glare he gave her. "Are you alright?"

"Do I look alright to you?" He spat back.

Placing a gloved finger to her lips Rini crossed her legs thinking style. "I don't know. You don't seem 'alright', you look more provoked than anything."

"Yeah, well I have a reason to be. They took Megan." Rini's heart broke as she saw the crestfallen look he now held. "I tried so hard and there was nothing I could do. I feel so useless." He rested his face in his hands.

"You big dope!" Rini smacked the back of his head. She now stood hands on her hips using all the height she could muster in her heeled boots. "Stop moping like a lovestruck boy and get on your feet. If you want to get her back then be stronger. Be a stronger person."

"It's not that easy."

"Well obviously it's not easy! Do you think I'd be here right now without training." She slammed her hands on the table making the boy jump. He shivered at the dangerous gleam that was now within her eyes. "We're going to get back your girlfriend and my mom."

"Wait, she's you-"

Rini cut him off holding one gloved hand to his mouth and revealing in the other hand the crystal within her locket. "I'm going to use this to get us to Apocalypse. I don't care if I have to die trying, cause I know as a fact Darkseid isn't in the future and he certainly isn't my father."

Throwing the pinkettes hand from his mouth he looked around and sighed in relief that it was only them in the mess hall. Conner looked her in the eye and spoke. "Even if we get there there's no way we'll be able to defeat the furies on our own, let alone Darkseid."

"That's why you have us." Conner let out a muffled scream and turned around to see the laughing face of Mina with Wally by her side. "I want to get my princess back as soon as possible and we need to rescue Megan as well. Serena didn't think we'd have enough power to make it and now with Hotaru gone it's going to be even harder."

"What about the cats?" Asked Conner worriedly.

"They don't know about it. All we need to do now is grab Robin and we'll be set."

"No need, I'm right here." Came the serious voice of the boy wonder. "We leave now right, let's go."

They used the towers transporting system to get to the park where Sailor Fighter stood waiting, leaning against a tree. "Finally decided to show." She said letting a small smile grace her features.

"Sorry Fighter." Mini Moon apologized. "I had to get everyone in on the plan first. I'm just happy it's the full moon or I doubt we could pull this off." Everyone gathered in a circle, Robin handed the coordinates to Apokolips over to Rini. She cast a quick glance over them and nodded. Everyone held hands as the pink haired princess began to chant in the old language of the Lunarians. Venus took up the chant and Fighter started speaking in the language of Kinmoku. The three humans marveled at the power these three people had. Mini Moons hair started to lift in the air, as did Venus and Fighter, for their bodies were beginning to fill with the energy of the Silver Imperium Crystal.

"We're coming for you Usagi." Mina whispered as they were transported to the burning planet.

Cosmos hung on the wall panting. Her eyes held a blank eerie look, and her hair hung limp with sweat. "Yes come in Lord Darkseid, you'll see that she's much more tame than before." Came the croaky voice of Granny Goodness.

The tall stony figure of Darkseid stood in the doorway. His steely red eyes stared the blonde girl down, eyeing her carefully. "The last time I spoke to a person from the moon they tried to make sure I'd be bound to my home of hell."

She looked up at him, a small smirk gracing her features yet not touching her still blank eyes. "Obviously that didn't stop you my Lord." She broke her cuffs in fluid motion and stood tall, hand on hip before the frightening man. "What is it you wish of me."

"I want you to use that crystal of yours to conquer the universe for me." He replied.

She snickered. "I wasn't aware that the great Lord Darkseid needed it taken for him."

Granny Goodness was about to rebuke her when Darkseid stopped her. "I've learned from past experience that I won't be able to do it, and besides." He turned his back to her hands locked behind his back. The contract I hold with my Benefactor says that I am not aloud Apokolips myself."

"Who's your benefactor." She questioned. "He must be powerful to make 'you' tremble in fear."

"Who he is doesn't concern you. Go get changed and meet with your Martian friend." With that said he exited the room and Granny led the way to the armory where the Furies and Megan were.

"are the people silver?"

"no silly."

"Thief!"

"who are you?"

"Just for a few days I promise."

"everyone on the moon kingdom died."

"You are now under my control."

"I'm sorry brother, I'm so very sorry. It's all my fault."

A boy with white fluffy hair was thrown against a cabinet. "Ryo, are you alright?!" Exclaimed a blonde girl with icy blue eyes. She knelt over the young man helping him up. "What just happened?"

"I don't know. The ring just started glowing and when I touched picked it up to put it back on, I got sent flying. It's never rejected me like that before." He looked at the item that now rested on the floor. "I got these crazy visions of Bakura and a girl. Annie, she looked familiar."

"Was it Kurai?" Annie questioned.

"No it wasn't. I don't who she was."

A/N Yay, you reached the end of the chapter and foreshadowing. Sneak peak at the people and stuff I'm doing in another story that will hopefully come soon. I know the end might confuse you sorry about that. Gotta go.
