The Final Battle

Last time so did Jake and Rose learn that Lao Shi and Fu Dog had found pieces of the temple for the Thousand Year Reunion, which meant that the Dark Dragon were most likely had returned and they had to prepare to face him when he showed himself again, and he did after a few days. But during the battle so were Jake deathly wounded, but one of the Dragon Councils managed to heal him and temporally forget his pain so he could continue fight, but the pain would return more intense after sometime, but then Jake were trapped with the Dark Dragon in the Dark Force Sphere in a one on one battle, Jake managed to beat him since the evil dragon were a bit exhausted from fighting for so long, but then the power of the sphere activated, and Jake was almost forced to absorb the evil dragon's power and soul, but he managed to reject it and after the sphere disappeared so did he ask a spell to cleanse the Dark Dragon of his dark power and used it to drain the Dark Dragon on most of his power, but soon after so did the pain return more intense than before and he collapsed, what will happen next?

Chapter 7- The peaceful days returns

FOUR HOURS AFTER THE BATTLE,

Jake groaned as he began to regain consciousness, he opened his eyes and saw the ceiling in his room, he tried to lift his hand but felt an almost mind shattering pain, he then remembered what the healer dragon had said about that when the pain returned so would it be so intense that even moving a finger would be unbelievable painful, he then felt a hand on his cheek, he looked to left and saw Rose smiling at him, happy that he were awake, "Hi there, wait a little, the others are down stairs and I promised to tell them when you woke up".

Jake nodded slightly and groaned in pain, Rose looked at him worried before she left the room and left to tell the others that he had woken up. A minute later did he hear three pair of feet running up through the stairs with more feet following them, in through his door did Haley storm in closely followed by Trixie and Spud then his parents, Lily and Rose and finally Lao Shi and Fu Dog, all of them had a happy smile on their faces when they saw that Jake were awake, the only thing keeping both his sister and mother from hugging him tightly were because they knew that he would be in great pain for about a week.

Spud walked up to him, "Jake old friend, when we got a call and heard that you had been greatly hurt and were unconscious so did we almost have a heart attack, but then we learned that the wound you got had been healed during the battle". Trixie looked at Spud like he were crazy, "Wound? Spud, Jakey got IMPALED! Now we know that Sara was talking about, but it's good that you got healed and survived, but still only you would want to continue to fight after having something like that happened to you".

Jake smiled at them, Jonathan came towards him with a relieved look on his face, "I'm glad you're alive Jake and I heard you managed to take the Dark Dragon down, well done kiddo", Jake's smile grew more before he looked at his grandfather with a serious look, "Speaking of him, what did they do with the sphere that his dark energy were drained into?"

Lao Shi looked at him, "They hid it at a secret location and then used a memory erasing magic to erase the memory of where it were hidden from everyone who knew it, so that no one would ever find it again and so the Dark Dragon would never regain his dark powers again".

Jake got a smirk on his face when he heard that, "I hope that they haven't told him yet, I want to be there when he is told that", Lao Shi got a troubled look on his face, "He and Chang have both been told about that, and he went completely insane, demanding that they would give him back his powers". Jake laughed a little when he heard that, he had expected him to react like that.

Susan looked at the others, "I know that we all want to stay here and be with Jake now that we know he's awake again, but I think he would like to have a little private time with Rose, so let's all leave them alone for a little while", Jake smiled thankfully to his mom as the others left, but Fu gave Rose a sleeping potion to give Jake soon before he left, but then Rose and Jake noticed that Lily hadn't left yet, she smiled at Jake, "I just wanted to thank you for saving my twin sister's life, I heard you got impaled because you took an attack meant for her", Lily took and gave him a kiss on the cheek, causing him to blush and Rose to glare at her, Lily smiled at her sister, "Don't worry Rose, while I'm a little interested in Jake so am I not going to try and steal him from you, that were only a thank you kiss for saving your life".

She smiled at Jake again, "I think you will be a good brother in law", both Rose and Jake blushed when Lily said that, Lily giggled when she saw that and said good bye and left the room, Rose looked at Jake and smiled as she stroke his hair, "I were afraid that I would lose you, three times actually, first when you got impaled, then when you almost were forced to absorb the Dark Dragon's dark power and soul and finally when you tried to cleanse him of his dark power and you could have been corrupted by his dark power".

Jake gave her a sad smile and apologized, Rose shook her head, "You don't have to apologize, but I think you should maybe go back to sleep now and get more rest", Jake nodded sadly, even though he knew that so had he just woken up and he didn't go back to sleep right away, even if it were for his own good. Rose gave him a quick kiss before she got him to drink the sleeping potion and he once again fell asleep.

A WEEK LATER,

Jake had finally regained his strength and could move around again, Jake had recovered enough to move around a few days ago but he were not allowed to return to school again before he had fully recovered and were absolutely not allowed to do any of his dragon duties, even after a whole week so did they think he should wait a few more days before he got back into action, so during this time so had Haley, Lao Shi and Sun been doing his duties while recovered, so it would not put so much press on Haley as it had done last time she temporally took over his duties.

Jaden were currently sitting in his room with his friends, "So what did my parents tell the school about me being absent from school?" Rose looked at him, "They said that you had have an accident in your grandfather's shop, and you needed to rest, but tomorrow so should you be allowed to return to school again".

Jake groaned, "Great, returning to school and have to meet Rotwood and Brad again, I think I would rather face the Dark Dragon again". The others laughed as he said that, then Rose kissed him on the cheek, "Yeah but it's good that you're feeling good again". Jake nodded his head with a smile and saw all of his friends smiling at him.

A FEW DAYS LATER,

Jake were on the roof and watching Rose training Lily in hand to hand combat, she had promised to train her, Trixie and Spud so that they would be able to defend themselves if they would ever need to, Jake smiled a little when he saw how Rose knocked Lily down to the ground, Lily groaned as Rose held out her hand and helped her sister up, "Man I'm almost jealous that you have two set of memories, I would like to be as good as you in hand to hand combat".

Rose smiled at her sister, "Well if you train hard then you will soon be pretty good since you're a quick student, not as good as me but still pretty good, the same with you Trixie and Spud". Jake smiled as he looked at his two best friends as they both groaned as both of them were in quite a bit of pain from their own training sessions with Rose.

Jake then thought back to what had happened the past few days, Brad had tried to pick a fight with him as usual, only for Rose to use her skills to toss him to the ground and then warn him that if he ever tried to mess with Jake again so would she make sure that he would never be able to get children in the future, even though she really considered it so she would spare the girl the regret of being the mother of Brad's child or children. Jake then remembered when he had gone to the magical prison to meet the Dark Dragon.

FLASHBACK,

Jake had just arrived at a cell and the guard told him to be careful, even though he were weakened so did they not take any chances with the former most powerful dragon in the world. Jake looked into the cell through the bars, he saw the dark blue dragon that used to be the biggest threat to the magical world as he were chained to the wall, the former Dark Dragon looked at him and growled in hatred as he saw the young dragon that had caused his downfall, he fought against the chains that held him trapped against the wall.

"This is your fault American Dragon, I swear that once I get out of here so will I somehow find the sphere that holds my powers and once I regain my full strength so will you be the first one that I'm going to kill".

Jake shook his head, "You don't get it do you Dark Drag? You will never rise to power again and you will stay looked up in here forever, and this is something that has been coming your way for a long time", then Jake turned around and walked away with a smirk as he heard the former Dark Dragon curse him, knowing that he had helped take down the biggest threat to the magical world, and that the Dragon Council had giving him their gratitude for taking down the magical world's greatest foe and had told him that if he ever had a request they would grant him it, if it were possible.

END OF FLASHBACK,

Jake looked up into the sky and smiled while Rose once again knocked her sister to the ground, he were happy that things had returned to being peaceful again, well his kind of peaceful, with him just doing his normal dragon duties, knowing that Chang, the former Dark Dragon and Bananas B were in prison with no chance of escaping this time.

With Dark Drag finally taken down for good so will things be more peaceful in the magical world since the Huntsclan is also gone thanks to Rose, now I can continue to do my duties as the American Dragon and enjoy my free time with my friends, my girlfriend and my family, Jake thought as he transformed as he would now spar with Rose.

P.S One reader who is Percy4772 asked me to continue to write about their life after the battle but I'm all out of ideas and so I won't be able to make a sequel, so since he wanted to have one so would I ask if someone felt to make a sequel to this story, if anyone is interested them just PM and tell me that you're interested.
