Okay I have to get this out of the way first: The format was a little confusing. It took me a while to figure out that it was Arthur and Merlin speaking to each other. If you would just put each line in quotation marks, that would do wonders towards making it more understandable and easier to read. :)

Now that that's out of the way... I loved it! L.O.V.E.D it. Emphasis on loved. :3 I've never seen a story like this before, and I'm talking about the writing style AND the plot. Genius! And I love how you made this a tribute to those first fanfictions... they're special, aren't they? ;) Very cool, very cool.
All together, I love what you did with it! Absolutely the only setback was the slightly confusing format...

Wow - that was crazy! in a totally good (awesome) way.

I've never read something written like that before - it kind of made me feel like I was listening to a black box recording on a plane that had been discovered sometime after a crash. Trying to piece together the last moments and what led to the disaster. I just imagined the two of them in total darkness and these jumps in time as Merlin descends into madness and Arthur starts to realise the implications of what his servant is saying.

It starts off so light, almost comical and then spirals into darkness and despair.

Ack! Do they make it out? Does Merlin die? You just leave us hanging here! *lol* I was wondering at first, why the style was the way it was, sine it's very different from what you normally do. Always interesting to see where a writer's roots come from.

Loved it! And I must say, I'm very impressed that you wrote the whole thing in only dialogue- it sounds very difficult! :)

My goodness, what a challenge...all dialogue and no descriptions, asides or inner musings. Not something I would want to undertake myself...and why would I even attempt it when you have just delivered a master class in how to achieve it? Simply brilliant chapter (as indeed are all the others, especially chapter 3). The drama was immense, the dialogue totally in character and the sparseness and brevity of the language really gave a great insight into their feelings, reasoning's and motivation. It was emotional ( yet not "gooey") ; tense; beautiful and brilliantly written.

At first I was confused by the lack of traditional punctuation but then the more I read the less distracting it became. Once the setting was mentioned, it just took off. Very intense and fast paced. The lack of descriptions didn't bother me as my imagination took over and supplied what was lacking. Enjoyed that you ended abruptly leaving them to 'stew in their own juices'. Really liked that once again Uther, the 'I abhor all sorcery' champion, has taken advantage of one to suit his purpose.

I am not sure if i have already reviewed on this so sry in case i repeat myself:) Youre oneshot collection is really beautiful, it shows the small and the big sides of Merlin and Arthurs relationship and it is really well written, even if i have to confess i found the last one a bit , great job:)
