That was just too great! It would also be funny if the ghost grabber exploding in Danny's face had the slight side effect of also making him say "I'm a ghost" at the end of every sentence... Hahahahaha XD amazing job with this! I laughed my apricot off! XD |

MsFrizzle chapter 1 . 12/27/2013 This one was more fun than I thought it would be. I did get a chuckle out of it. It also made me think of perhaps taking a line from your story and writing one of my own, with your permission. I have to admit that part of the reason I found Danny's plight so funny is that I very seldom swear myself. I suppose Mr. Lancer might agree with me, it's an occupational hazard where it could get you fired for saying the wrong thing. Maybe I'm just over civilized. Pickles! Even first grades find it funny. I'm not sure about your statistics as I generally didn't swear as a teenager and neither did the people I hung out with. If you use those terms in casual conversation it can be left wanting when you need a really strong word to express a really strong feeling. I recall a TA for a history course who used swear words a speech habit it they way other people use "um..." or "er...". Every third word was like "f...king George Washington." So I suppose the statistics average out. My son showed me a vsauce vid. on youtube about swearing which as Tucker has implied has changed over history. It's rather amusing and educational. |
