i feel like every gift for every year matches perfectly, and i don't know how you did it, but you characterized james and his evolving idea of a christmas gift perfectly and lily's reactions as well. i really liked how you talked about the future, lily wearing the ugly bracelet and kissing james to get him to shut up — asdfghjkl. overall, this left me with a warm feeling but then i was still kinda sad (idek) bc they're both dying and they don't get enough time together and THAT LAST LINE.
