Interesting take.
Not something we really saw on the show, Abby all upset.

And it kind of creeps me out that Gibbs would think Tony would have sex with Abby after she's been so upset. Creeps me out for all 3 of them.

But, as always, you're writing is exceptional!

This "absolutely " should have been the 3rd show...you nailed it! !

I liked this - lots of juicy nuggets. I especially liked Gibbs edging towards the door when offered movies and a group sob in!

Love Abby's heart. Gibbs is everything to her... comfort, strength, sounding board, definitely her father figure and so much more, but he cannot make Ziva return if she does not want too. He can, however, bring Abby to the place where she can see reason and come to a resolve.

Even though canon doesn't always bear it out, this is the way I like to think about our team - family-close and unfailingly supportive of one another. I like that Abby went to Tony first because it is unexpected. I also like that Gibbs, after lending his own brand of succinct comforting, left them in each others care because, even though he told Tony to take care of Abby, I choose to believe he also appreciates that Abby will be good medicine for Tony as well.
