| oma13 chapter 2 . 1/31/2015 Wonderful! Well worth the wait! Merlin's POV was eye-opening and, although similar to Arthur's, gave us quite a different perspective. Arthur finally regretful and repentive, while Merlin was fearful and expecting the worst from Arthur; shattered as world fell apart. That he didn't know what Arthur would do to him or his mother, showed his doubt and insecurity. And bringing up Arthur's behavior of Gwen, whom he loved dearly, was proof of what he was capable of, at least in Merlin's eyes. He was truly afraid, I believe. I loved that it was Kilgharrah and Iseldir/Druids that helped and assisted Merlin. Oh, and as for the previous chapter's Update comments, I recently did some research and read an account that stated Merlin was actually a Druid. I really wished I saved that article, but alas, I didn't. It was quite interesting. And of course, sweet Merlin would be a big hit with the children of the Druid camp, loved that! I found it truly believable (and loved Merlin's POV stating his misgivings) that Merlin still believed that Arthur might be lying and still had ulterior motives. Great, great conversation between Merlin and Iseldir in Merlin's tent. But glad it all turned out so well. Loved the homecoming! "He quickly fell into step beside his friend..." Lovely little story and am looking forward to promised third chapter as stated in the notes at the end of previous chapter! |
| saragorn1996 chapter 1 . 1/31/2015 I think it's very good, I do agree that Arthur doesn't show his emotions enough in the show so this was a refreshing side to see. I only wish the show had ended like this! |
