Well, that was awesome. A bit at a loss of words right now; mindblowing. Thank you for taking the time to write it, because it's a brilliant, strong story and I loved it very much.
I love how it is about falling in love, yet not cheesy or overly-sweet. It's almost bittersweet, how Dean would fall when Castiel needs him not to, but when he tries the same tactics intentionally, it just doesn't work.. (You can't step into the same river twice, right?)
Loved the 'because he loves him', almost matter-of-fact justification of being kind.
Also, loved Gabriel watching out for his little, emotionally naive brother, even though it seems to be in a cruel way.
