Guest chapter 1 . 4/12/2019
Seriously you’re going to end on this!? No!
doctorjay chapter 1 . 3/22/2017
I have also written a Mycroft deathfic ( Doyle canon, not BBC). I agree that it is the one thing that would destroy Sherlock, perhaps even more than the loss of John. I see Mycroft as the Spock to Sherlock's Kirk, whereas John is the McCoy. The death of a sibling is losing a piece of childhood, and your headcanon Sherlock would not have survived without his big brother.
Well done, with an ambiguous cliffhanger, yet!
Rachelea chapter 1 . 1/3/2015
This is...awful. I love it.
nimagine chapter 1 . 10/2/2014
Suspenseful and awesome. I'm kind of sadistic so I'm not upset, really.
LollypopGuild chapter 1 . 10/1/2014
I actually heard that gunshot.

Basser, this is top notch writing. Sometimes the instictive, angry, reactionary things we write are the most real. Visceral and intimate, it's a stunning portrayal of bitterness and loss. The description of Sherlock in shock in the hospital just sings. It's so authentic, I can't help but be transported back to similar times in my life... and this is what fanfiction and all forms of writing are about. Earnest Hemingway said writing is easy, you just bleed onto the page. The emotional impact of this piece is so strong. I found myself saying oh my god, like I was reading the news. You deserve so much more recognition for this!

Holy crud. Nice cliffy there, leaving us all draped over the edge and freaking out over who shot first. Very nice.
Ennui Enigma chapter 1 . 2/20/2014
Nicely written!
Some believable reactions in this chapter. Interesting psychology deductions at the end too. I like the ending. Very artistic.

He took a breath. "Sherlock, I can't even begin to imagi-"
"Don't." - these particular paragraphs stuck out to me... particularly poignant, I think.
Septma chapter 1 . 1/9/2014
Wait what? Noo you can't end it there! Please no! That's horrible...please, please, please continue it.
Ballykissangel chapter 1 . 1/5/2014
This was amazing and sad. Brilliant job and lovely angst.
guest chapter 1 . 11/17/2013
Well written story. Oh, the lives of geniuses. What it takes to get them back in the game. Nice ending also, even though it's sad.
Doni chapter 1 . 10/14/2013
I am terribly sorry to hear about your friend's wife. I can certainly see the anger and grief in this story. The ambiguity is a killer. Very nicely done!
Moriarty-Mastermind chapter 1 . 10/10/2013
This was extremely well written...I really enjoyed your specific characterizations in this story. All as how it is with the rest of your stories everything about this was positively superb.

ResidentBunburyist chapter 1 . 10/6/2013
And you end it in such ambiguity... why do I never believe you when you say you're going to make me sad? Dammit, I swear your readers are emotional masochists. Lovely, though. John POV was a nice switch. He actually did sound different from your usual Sherlock, so good syntax switch there.
And sorry about your friend. :( That's got to be unimaginably awful. Best wishes to them.
RainyDays-and-DayDreams chapter 1 . 10/5/2013
What?! Ahhhh! This is really good though.
