Very well plotted, tying it all together from "... needs his mother" to the last scene with Sammy's Mother's Day breakfast in bed. I loved "I'm watching over you" instead of the angels, and "Dee!" made me want to laugh and cry. Every scene was perfect, and really highlighted that Dean really made his whole life about giving Sam a mom, protecting him and giving him the best growing-up-life-experiences he could, all while his own growing up had to be done without a mom or even a present father figure, trying to buy baby formula at the supermarket, and learning to ride a bike by himself. Heartbreakingly beautiful and sad, and very well-written! The last scene left tears in my eyes. Good work!

It's beautiful and sad, and perfectly in line with canon - much more so than most Wee!Chester fics. This one highlighted John's neglect without making it malicious, and really brought home how Dean had worked hard to give Sammy a mom and all the growing-up-life-experiences he could - but his own growing up was all done on his own, teaching himself to ride a bike and trying to buy baby formula from the supermarket. Very well written, I think this is my favourite of all your fics. xx

My big brother took over the mom and dad role for me too. Well, me and our other two siblings. It's nice to see a story that captures the feel of it.
