jmountyn74 chapter 17 . 9/8/2019 Amazing |
Sukuangtou chapter 3 . 10/7/2012 Ok, I was reading this chapter and then piratically choked on my drink! Your bad guy's called Blake?! So is my bad guy! But I didn't steal his name, I'm reading this after I've published the first two chapters. Wow! |
M1ndb3nd chapter 16 . 3/20/2011 Fantastic story! Had me drawn in from the first chapter. Shame about the ending, as it kind of peeters out and misses some vital scenes I thought could round it all off nicely, but I do know all-too-well about the trouble of ending a story (I have some unfinished myself) so I'm happy with what you've done to end it quickly. I've also read the sequel, and although it mentions this story, it rather is a separate story, as it doesn't continue on from here like I'd thought it would. Took me a while to get into the kids, but the more I read, the more I'm getting into the story (so update that soon!) Otherwise, I just HAD to add this one to my Favourite stories... :-) Awesome stuff! |
MJ2901 chapter 16 . 12/3/2010 This is a well written story that I have been drawn back to on numerous occasions. I think you did an amazing job of exploring the characters reactions to the events while not being overally dramatic. |
FABreader chapter 16 . 10/17/2010 Absolutely fabulous story. I loved the way you kept the boys' dignity, unlike some other stories where they get in the way, cry and fight everyone. Yours is more true to the television "Thunderbirds" I remember. Thankyou. Any more coming? Or maybe a sequel? |
Rumoi chapter 3 . 5/5/2010 OMG! chapter 3 and I'm jumping up and down in excitement at wanting to know what's going to happen. Lucky for me there is more story still too be read. Poor Alan. It's usually him who gets beat up. He is awesome though. |

dont hhate aprecaiteee chapter 16 . 12/5/2009 i love your story.. im not too keen about the sequal i think if you write a story about erasmus blake esacping and going after alan for revenge or something along them lines it woud be more intresing to read . this story is the best. you have great talant. plz think about a different sequeal |
DruidRaven2090 chapter 16 . 12/4/2009 I don't actualy remember how many times I've read Phoenix Rising, but I do know that I love reading it every time. Thank you so much for sharing such a brillant piece of written work. "Like a phoenix rising from ashes, creativity often springs from adversity" (Unknown). -Raven |
Fenix Uzumaki chapter 17 . 8/11/2009 That. Was. A. Great. Story. Make more! |
tanpopo no hana chapter 17 . 7/16/2009 That was a wonderful story! You have a real talent for story telling, and the plot was well thought out. I was riveted to the monitor :D. And I love hurt!Alan fics, so this was a real treat. Thanks! Will defo take a look at the sequel very soon! |
Phx chapter 1 . 6/6/2009 I really enjoy this story. Love the idea of someone using Alan to try to get something from IR. Love watching how protective his family is and I especially loved his response at the end - thinking he's seem Blake. They are really going to have their work cut out helping him heal. Great story! |
tiylaya chapter 16 . 10/31/2008 I very much enjoyed this story. You took it to a very dark place but everyone's responses remained perfectly in character and the slow but steady recovery was spot on. Thanks for a well written and gripping tale. |
spinningleaves chapter 16 . 10/26/2008 Oh i absolutely love this story! I love Alan's strength and the way the rest of the world rallied around International Rescue! Excellent! |
Olivia Sutton chapter 16 . 3/1/2008 Hi Meercat, "Thunderbirds" is one of my favorite fandoms, (another is *The Real Ghostbusters*), where every once in awhile I just have to read some fics, and hopefully I'll find some good ones. Anyway, I was reading some stories I'd saved on my hard drive, and one of them was "Phoenix Rising". I was totally taken by the story (esp. as I only had the first 12 chapters) and immediately downloaded the rest to read. (Btw, I do read some fanfic off-line, as reading on the screen tires my eyes.) Anyway, the story was awesome! (By the bye, I first remember watching *Thunderbirds* as a kid - I would actually sneak downstairs in my folks townhouse really early in the morning to watch it. One of the A&E Thunderbirds DVD sets was one of the very first things I ever bought on DVD). Anyway, I really liked this fic. The torture scenes were extremely violent, but well-handled. Alan getting shot (and telling Blake he was dying for something he believed in) was awesome! NOT that Alan getting SHOT was awesome, but Alan being so brave as to do what he did -awesome! And, the reactions of everyone were so well done. Then the scene where Scott realises Alan's alive (if barely) and he and Gordon are working to keep Alan alive - again, awesome, and your medical stuff really, really well done. I'd like to see a sequel, and not what you would probably think. The torture that Alan went thru' is bound to leave some scars, and I'd like to see a story about Alan having doubts about serving in International Rescue, or even him telling his father he just can't do it. (Tho' he'd eventually have to go back to working with IR). -Olivia Sutton |
